ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate hospital acquired infections in patients with liver cirrhosis caused by relevant factors. Methods From July 2008 to June 2013,the clinical data of 470 cases of hospital acquired infections patients with chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection were retrospectively analyzed by case-control study for the effective factors. Results Hospital acquired rate was 29.1% (137/470).By logistic regression analysis, the effective factors were length of stay (OR =27.824,95% CI 7.187-98.386),invasive operation (OR =17.201,95% CI 4.245-71.303),a complication (OR =2.138,95% CI 1.030-4.377),preventive use of antibiotics(OR =2.741,95%CI 1.816-4.010),drinking history(OR=34.248,95%CI 13.045-82.328),serum albumin(OR =17.258,95% CI 6.242-53.162),quantitative PCR-HBVDNA (OR =4.859,95% CI 3.214 -7.625),white blood cell (OR =4.271,95 % CI 1.520-12.157),c holinesterase (OR =2.761,95 % CI 1.523 -3.787) and anti virus medicine(OR=0.128,95%CI 0.041-0.375) (P<0.05).Conclusion This study shows that length of stay, invasive operation history, complications, low white blood cell, low serum protein, low cholinesterase, the prophylactic use of antibiotics, hormone, high PCR-HBVDNA quantitative and drinking are the important risk of hospital acquired infections infection factors of patients of impact chronic HBV infection.Applications of antiviral drugs are effective in the prevention of chronic HBV infection protection factors of hospital acquired infections infection patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate Hospital-acquired infections in patients with liver cirrhosis caused by relevant factors.Methods From Jul.2006 to Jan.2011 the clinical data of 476 cases of hospital-acquired infections in patients with decompensate cirrhosis were retrospectively analyzed by case-control study for the effective factors.Results By logistic regression analysis,17 factors are found to affect Hospital-acquired infections ; 16 risk factors:Occupation in manual labor ( OR =4.119,95 % CI:2.631-6.325 ) ; Age ( OR =3.014,95 % CI:1.163-7.136) ; The cirrhosis disease history ( OR =1.761,95 % CI:1.439-2.130) ; Length of stay in hospital (OR =17.354,95 % CI:2.539-101.304) ; Interventional procedures ( OR =5.379,95% CI:2.354-17.594) ;Peotein intake ( OR =3.201,95% CI:1.539-4.528) ; Alcohol drinking history ( OR =3.158,95%CI:2.274-7.153 ) ; Development of complication ( OR =8.367,95 % CI:2.023-11.736 ) ; ALB ( OR =4.613,95% CI:2.157-9.936 ) ; PCR-HBV DNA quantitative ( OR =3.628,95% CI:2.245-7.129 ) ; WBC ( OR =3.758,95% CI:2.276-7.018 ) ; CHE ( OR =3.148,95% CI:2.202-6.038 ) ; TC ( OR =3.210,95% CI:2.102-5.107) ;TBIL(OR =2.748,95% CI:1.283-3.153) ; Antiviral agents (OR =0.257,95% CI:0.145-0.382 ) ; Preventive application of antibiotics ( OR =3.147,95% CI:2.236-7.182 ) ; PTA ( OR =2.798,95%CI:1.293-4.182) ;Liver function of Child B and C (OR =4.164,95% CI:2.236-6.761 ).Conclusion Age,length of stay in hospital,interventional procedures,alcohol drinking history,development of complication,ALB,PCR-HBVDNA quantitative,WBC,TC,Preventive application of antibiotics,liver function of Child are risk factors.Use of anti-virus drug are protective factors.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effect of uterine artery embolization for the treatment of uterine fibroids and analyze the influencing factors. Methods 46 cases with symptomatic uterine myoma were treated by superselective catheterization of the bilateral uterine arteries using PVA particles. All patients were followed up for 6 ~ 9 months after uterine artery embolization to observe the improvement about symptoms and the changes of fibroid volume. The different clinical effects and the various factors were analyzed. Results The clinical symptoms improved significantly, especially the bleeding of uterus. The average volume of fibroids decreased 45.6 % in 6 months,58.4 % in 9 months after the proceduce.A lot of factors, including blood vessel anatomy, endocrine secretion, embolization technique and fibroid type can effect the clinical efficacy of uterine artery embolization for the treatment of uterine fibroids. Conclusions Selective uterine artery embolization is a new safety and effective method for treatment of uterine myoma. Its clinical effect is correlative with a lot of factors, including blood vessel anatomy, endocrine secretion, embolization technique and fibroid type.(J Intervent Radiol,2006,15:232-234)
