ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT For the researchers, physical literacy (AFi) is the objective to be achieved in Physical Education, for seeking competent subjects, capable of adhering to physical activity throughout their lives, with continuous personal, social, affective, and physical development. Quantitative, descriptive-correlational research was carried out, with a non-experimental design and a non-probabilistic sample of 322 subjects, students from 12 to 18 years old from private, public, and subsidized schools in Talca, Chile. The aim was to relate the level of AFi, engagement and perceived emotionality. Data were collected by the Perceived Physical Literacy Instrument (PPLI), Behavioral Engagement Questionnaire (BEQ) and Scale for Mood Assessment (EVEA). A positive relationship was identified with a higher level of physical literacy, higher levels of happiness (r=0.37) and emotional engagement (r=0.54), decreasing the indexes of hostility (r=-0.25) and the private establishments reach the highest levels of anxiety (X̅=3.2). It is concluded that the higher the level of AFi, the greater the commitment and the greater the regulation of emotional factors.

ABSTRACT

Abstract This article is the result of an investigative process that, for six years, has been studying the Marcha de la Gorra, in Córdoba, Argentina. This demonstration has a high youth component and aims to bring charges against police abuse and public security policies. The purpose of the study is to explore the production and expression of political emotionality that takes place in collective action. For this, emotional climates and nuances that the experience of participating in the demonstration provoked were identified, considering the discursive constructions that the young people elaborate from their experiences. It was based on a qualitative approach that included ethnographic recording, ongoing conversations and in-depth interviews. The dialogue between different theoretical perspectives and fieldwork allowed us to reflect on the links between political emotionality and collective action. Finally, the expressive repertoire that characterizes the March showed the centrality of corporeality in the process of resistance.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of capsaicin on cognitive function and the expression of TRPV1 protein in hippocampus of rats with chronic cerebral hypoperfusion (CCH).Methods 60 SD rats were randomly divided into control group (SHAM group),chronic cerebral hypoperfusion group (CCH group),placebo control group(PC group) and capsaicin group(CAP group) with 15 in each group. The chronic cerebral hypoperfusion rat model was established by permanent bilateral common carotid artery occlusion. The rats in CAP group and PC group were given capsaicin and saline respectively by intraperitoneal injection, twice a week. The spatial learning and memory ability and emotion of rats were observed by Morris water maze test and open field test, and the expression of TRPV1 in the hippocampus of rats was detected by Western blot. Results (1) In the open field experiment, compared with the SHAM group (22.60±4.60),the standing times of the CCH group(12.10±2.80) decreased (P<0.01),but the standing times of CAP group (19.30± 4.16) increased compared with that of h PC group(12.50 ±2.68) (P<0.01).(2) In Morris water maze test, positioning navigation experiment showed that compared with the SHAM group, the escape latency of the CCH group and the PC group increased (P<0.05),while the escape latency of CAP group was shorter than that of the PC group (P< 0.05).And in the space exploration experiment, compared with the SHAM group (1.87 ± 0.64),the times of crossing the platform in CCH group (0.75 ± 0.89) and the PC group (1.00± 0.93) decreased, while the latency of crossing the platform increased (P<0.01).And the times of crossing the platform in CAP group((2.38±0.74) increased compared with that of PC group, and the latency of crossing the platform of CAP group decreased compared with that of PC group (P<0.01).(3) Results of Western blot showed that compared with the SHAM group, the level of TRPV1 in rat hippocampus of CCH group was down regulated (P<0.05),and the expression of TRPV1 in CAP group was higher than that of PC group (P<0.05).Conclusion Capsaicin can effectively improve cognitive impairment in rats with chronic cerebral hypoperfusion, which may be related to the up-regulation of TRPV1 protein expression in hippocampal tissues.

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT Laetia suaveolens (Poepp.) Benth., Salicaceae, popularly known as "casinga-cheirosa", "caferana", or "laranjinha", is native to Brazil but not endemic to this country. A crude organic extract was obtained from the leaves and stem and intraperitoneally administered in male Balb-c mice. Its behavioral effects were evaluated in the open field and elevated plus maze in a two-stage experiment that assessed ten different parameters related to behavior as locomotion, emotionality, and anxiety. In the first stage of the experiment, intraperitoneal the crude organic extract administration dose-dependently impaired locomotion and emotionality 30–120 min after administration. A significant decrease in defecation was observed, which was related to emotionality. No alterations in the elevated plus maze were found; thus, this apparatus was not used in the next stage of the experiment. In the second stage, the previously determined non-lethal dose of 0.1563 g/kg was intraperitoneally administered, which impaired locomotion and rearing frequency and increased immobility time. Necropsy revealed smooth intestine hemorrhage. Rutin, leucoside, nicotiflorin, guaijaverin, and astragalin were isolated from the crude organic extract. This is the first time that these compounds have been identified in L. suaveolens. In conclusion, the crude organic extract impaired locomotion and emotionality and caused hemorrhage in male Balb-c mice, indicating that its consumption can be harmful to humans and animals. The present results provide a basis for further studies on the pharmacology, toxicology, and natural product chemistry of the crude organic extract.

ABSTRACT

The Floripa H and L rat lines, selected for high and low locomotion in the central aversive area of an open field, a widely used emotionality test, were proposed as a model for studying the genetic basis of anxiety. The present study aimed to verify if the QTL Ofil1, mapped to rat chromosome 4 and previously identified as being related to emotionality in another population of rats, contributes to the behavioral variability observed in the Floripa rat lines. To this purpose, rats of five generations of selective breeding were genotyped for two polymorphic markers, D4RAT59 and D4MGH27, flanking Ofil1. Changes in genotype and allele frequencies throughout generations were evaluated in both H and L lines, in order to assess if the bidirectional selection based on behavioral scores induced divergent changes in the genotype of this genome region. There were significant changes in genotype frequencies for both molecular markers, however, only the genotype variations of the D4RAT59 marker were significantly correlated with the variations in the selected phenotype. This result suggests that the region of the genome near D4RAT59 contains one or more genes contributing to the interindividual variation in central locomotion in the open field test.

ABSTRACT

This paper mainly discussed how Chinese archaic ideologist realize emotionality. The contents include five aspects: emotionality is related to human nature and morality; Chinese pay more attention to cultivate himself according to morality, control his emotion and need, keep harmonious relationship with others, emotionality is in association with or- gans. The author thought that the meaning of Chinese emotionality is not only the emotional reaction of oneself, but in- volves comprehensive features of individual emotional response, dealing with matters and behaviors, and it is closely relat- ed to the cultivation of morality and human nature and relative to human nature and morality. Chinese opinion is different from western psychologists’thoughts.
