ABSTRACT

The yin-yang theory is a thinking model used by ancient people to recognize the world, which is highly compatible with multimodal metaphors. By summarizing the current researches on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) yin-yang theory and thinking, it is found that there are more clinical researches but few empirical studies, and more conceptual studies but few empirical researches. In view of this, we proposed to conduct researches on TCM yin-yang thinking with the methods such as behavioral experiments, event-related potentials, and functional magnetic resonance imaging techniques, based on the multimodal metaphor theory from the perspective of cognitive science. According to the characteristics of yin-yang, the process of TCM yin-yang thinking is divided into two stages which are yin-yang classification and yin-yang reasoning, and the main directions of empirical research on yin-yang thinking in TCM are outlined by combining with the paradigm of cognitive science, that is, the researches are carried out from the cognitive characteristics of TCM yin-yang thinking, as well as the differences in cognitive mechanisms between TCM yin-yang thinking and western logical thinking.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE To improve the drug complaint and reporting system in China ,and to provide reference for improving the social multi-component governance level of the drug safety. METHODS Taking Guangdong province as an example , literature review ,questionnaire survey ,structural equation model and other methods were used to analyze influential factors of the drug complaint and reporting system ,such as “Internet+”approach, drug quality ,specialized drug knowledge ,complaint and reporting procedures ,complaint and reporting methods ,complaint and reporting motivation ,governmental reward ,administrative review or litigation. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS A total of 3 375 questionnaires were received ,all of which were valid ;the vast majority of respondents lived in Guangdong province. The results of the empirical analysis of the influential factors of drug complaint and reporting system showed that the path coefficients of “Internet + ”approach and specialized drug knowledge , complaint and reporting procedures ,complaint and reporting methods were all greater than 0.9,indicating“Internet+”promoted the transformation of the way and behavior of complaint and reporting. It is suggested that the design of the drug complaint and reporting system should not only attract the public to participate in drug complaint and reporting ,but also cultivate the public ’s management capacity through the approach of internet , standardize professional anti-counterfeiting behavior , promote the institutional reform of “digital government ”,and appropriately adjust the work responsibilities of drug regulatory department ,so as to reduce the number of drug complaint and reporting in China ,and optimize the drug safety governance system.

ABSTRACT

We reviewed and developed an indicator system framework for assessing teaching effect of laparoscopic simulation training through literature research, expert consultation, analytic hierarchy process and factor analysis. We also made an empirical study on the constructed index system. The system included 3 domains (A1: evaluation of laparoscopic simulator; A2: operation evaluation of experimental animals; A3: evaluation of clinical practice), 10 second-level indicators and 23 third-level indicators for assessing teaching effect of laparoscopic simulation training. The indicator system framework has good internal consistency (Cronbach α= 0.968) and external consistency (>0.72). The empirical study found that: in the results of A1-A3 in the first level indicator, the score of the experienced group was significantly higher than that of the inexperienced group ( P<0.05). In the evaluation results of the 10 secondary indicators in the secondary indicators B1-B10, the score of the experienced group was significantly higher than that of the inexperienced group ( P<0.01). For the first time, we have established and evaluated a comprehensive evaluation indicator system which is reliable and effective and can be used for further evaluation of teaching effect of laparoscopic simulation training. The following empirical studies have verified the effectiveness and practicability of the evaluation system.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To invest igate the intraction between China ’s foreign economic trade and pharmaceutical manufacturing industry ,in order to provide the reference for China ’s foreign economic trade growth and pharmaceutical manufacturing industry development in the future. METHODS :By collecting the data of China ’s foreign economic trade and pharmaceutical manufacturing industry during 1998-2018 issued by National Bureau of Statistics ,China Statistics Yearbook on High Technology Industry and China Statistics Yearbook on Scientific Technology ,referring to relevant literature method ,index system was established that includes the foreign economic trade system and the pharmaceutical manufacturing system. CRITIC method was adopted to assign the weight of data index and calculate comprehensive evaluation data. VAR model was used to analyze the interaction between China ’s foreign economic trade and pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and put forward the suggestions. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS :From the results of cointegration test ,foreign economic trade development played a strong role in promoting and driving pharmaceutical manufacturing industry development (correlation coefficient was 0.432 198);from the results of Granger causality test ,the development of foreign economic trade was the Granger cause for pharmaceutical manufacturing industry development (confidence probability was lower than 0.001),but the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry development was not the Granger ’s reason for foreign economic trade (confidence probability was 0.358). By the results of impulse response and variance decomposition ,it reflected an interrelationship between the two ,but the contribution of foreign economic trade to the development of pharmaceutical manufacturing is relatively small. It is suggested that China ’s pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises should grasp the market demand and trade opportunities in time ,and further expand the scale of business by providing high quality pharmaceutices products ;make full use of new trade mode and speed up the circulation of pharmaceutical products in economic and trade activities so as to further expand the domestic and foreign markets of pharmaceutical products ;the state should formulate and improve the preferential and supporting policies for pharmaceutical manufacturing industry as soon as possible to reduce the burden for pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises. In addition ,from the national level and the enterprise level ,we should appropriately increase the investment in scientific research of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and increase industry cultiration,so as to promote the rapid development of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and realize a virtuous circle of mutual promotion of foreign economic trade and pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To study the role of virtual gastroscopy simulator in the examination of clinical practice skills of gastrointestinal specialists.@*Methods@#A multi-center empirical study was carried out. In June 2018, ninety participants from three tertiary care teaching hospitals in China, including Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University, Shanghai Tongji Hospital and Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, took part in the examination. Participants were selected as follows: 30 specialists without any experience of gastroscopy exams, 30 with basic knowledge (gastroscopy exams <500 cases) and 30 with good skill (gastroscopy exams ≥500 cases). These 90 students participated in this empirical study after theoretical study and simulator training. Among them, 50 (55.6%) were undergraduates, 25 (27.8%) masters, and 15 (16.7%) doctors; 42 (46.7%) were residents, 39 (43.3%) attending physicians, and 9 (10.0%) deputy chief physicians. The assessment was divided into two parts. The first part was to use the simulator (GI mentor II) for ballooning within 10 minutes, with a total score of 40 points. The second part was a complete gastroscopy exam on the simulator, including preparation before gastroscopy exam, gastroscopy exam, post - exam management and related knowledge quiz. The difficulty and discrimination of the assessment plan were evaluated by the extreme grouping method parameters (difficulty P definition: <0.3 was difficult, 0.3 to 0.7 was medium, ≥0.7 was easy; discrimination degree D definition: <0 was poor, 0 to 0.2 was medium, ≥0.2 was good), and by comparing the virtual gastroscopy assessment scores of different experience, academic, and professional title groups. The score analysis of the student group was expressed using the mastering rate (the average score divided by the total score). The data of the normal distribution was represented by (mean±SD) (range), and the data of the nonnormal distribution was represented by M (P25, P75). Kruskal-Wallis non-parametric test was used for comparison between groups.@*Results@#The total score of 90 students was (82.9±10.9) (55.8 to 99.0), and the mastering rate was 82.9%. The overall difficulty of the first and the second parts were 0.78 and 0.76, respectively, and the difficulty level was easy. The overall discrimination of the first and the second parts were 0.70 and 0.67, respectively, and the discrimination was good. The stratified analysis was performed according to the professional title. The median score was 83.2 (75.5, 89.0) in the residents, 82.5 (71.7, 93.6) in the attending physicians, and 93.5 (88.5, 99.0) in the deputy chief physicians, and the difference was statistically significant (H=6.213, P=0.045). According to the stratification analysis of academic qualifications, the median score was 81.7 (73.0, 87.5) in participants with undergraduate degree, 91.0 (79.0, 95.0) in those with master degree and 88.0 (81.7, 93.5) in those with doctor degree, whose difference was statistically significant (H=9.233, P=0.010). The stratified analysis of the second part showed that the median scores of the "operational process" part of the low, medium and high basis group were 33.0 (30.5, 36.5), 34.0 (32.0, 36.0) and 37.0 (35.0, 37.5), respectively, whose difference was statistically significant (H=7.603, P=0.022). The median scores of the "operational process" section of the resident, attending physician, and deputy chief physician were 33.0 (30.5, 35.0) points, 36.0 (34.0, 37.5) points and 37.0 (37.0, 37.5) points, respectively, whose difference was statistically significant (H=18.563, P=0.001).@*Conclusions@#The virtual gastroscopy simulator can reflect the true level of gastroscopy exam skills of the students. The examination questions are moderately difficult, and there is a good discrimination of the exam.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To analyze the satiation of low cost medicine at present and provide suggestions for im-proving the low cost medicine policy since it has been conducted. Methods: The article uses the statistics from 24 provinces and cities to analyse the accessibility of low cost medicine with the angles of general condition, procurability and affordability. Results:The accessibility of low cost medicine is high through its policy knowledge is low. For pro-curability, there are only part of low cost medicine lacking in several areas momently; for affordability, the price of low cost medicine is affordable even through its price has been raised after the performance of policy. The reasons for shortage includes low price, check price transaction, lack of raw and processed material and small quantity demand of some medicine, etc. Conclusions:We suggest that government should improve the knowledge of this policy in hospi-tals and encourage low cost medicine in clinical applications. It also should lead companies to set the appropriate price and refine the purchasing system which will avoid the too high or too low price and help to ensure the amount and standard of companies that be selected in purchasing online. At the same time, government is supposed to strengthen the supervision on supply chain of low cost medicine and establish the communication mechanism for sup-ply system in order to guarantee the regulated supply of low cost medicine.
