ABSTRACT

Objective: To study and create the algorithm for the diversity (AD) of extensible markup language (XML) tree map, and provide a new tool for the identification of Artemisiae Annuae Herba. Method: According to the literature research, the key information of Artemisiae Annuae Herba was selected from the macroscopic, mesoscopic and microscopic information, etc. Based on the key information, the relevant upper standards of domestic and foreign professional fields were cited to assign the unique identification independent of language for each data element, and the coding rules of relevant data elements were established. The digital coding technology was applied to the flexible structure editor, and the tree map was created, which could be returned as the 5th version of hypertext markup language (HTML5) or XML format. Based on the diversity related algorithms, the authors innovatively developed the AD of XML tree map of Artemisiae Annuae Herba, which took into account both of topology and semantics, and the expression model of related mathematical functions of Artemisiae Annuae Herba was established. By comparing the calculation results with the reality, the algorithm model was debugged continuously until the convergence of the core-culvert algorithm model. Result: Through the research on AD, the diversity between two XML tree maps could be calculated, and the discrimination or identification model of Artemisiae Annuae Herba also could be finally optimized and established. After calculation and analysis of the tested tree maps, the effective rate of the model was 100%. Conclusion: In this study, the establishment of the AD of XML tree map can effectively assist in the identification of Artemisiae Annuae Herba, which provides certain technical support and theoretical guidance for the research on intelligent application of traditional Chinese medicine.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To realize the hospital charging interface integration and sharing by using Web Service based system integration technology for resolving the problems the length of the shortcomings of low efficiency of payment and settlement in hospital. Methods: Using a service-oriented (SOA) open and loose coupling architecture, all agreements provide application services for XML-based standards. It can realize the integration of charging and making price and payment accurately, conveniently and quickly. Results: The integration platform based on Web service can apply complex heterogeneous system, support custom adapter connection, reduce the coupling between the module and improve the versatility of system data. Conclusion: The system is safe and reliable, and has a good sharing compatibility features. It can be able to upgrade and functions expansion. The application of integration technology will greatly improve the medical staff's working efficiency, provide convenience of patients, and reduce the hospital operation maintenance cost.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To develop an interface program between a hospital inspection information system and Hospital Information System(HIS). Such interface program not only guarantees the safety and independence of HIS, but achieves interoperability between HIS and other third-party system. Methods: The interface program between the inspection information system and HIS conforming to hospital demands is developed by using Visual Studio 2008 development platform and WebServices+XML technology. Results: The interface between the inspection information system and HIS operates stably, reliably and efficiently, avoiding manually input information errors, reducing the amount of registration work, and raising work efficiency. Conclusion:WebServices+XML technology is utilized to develop an interface characterized by safety, stability and reliable performance, realizing resource sharing among information systems in the hospital. Besides, the interface can be expanded in the future to adapt to other third-party system, achieving customization.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: We developed a Cocoon framework-based device independent electrocardiogram(ECG) Reporting System in order to support such various web devices as desktop Personal Computer(PC), Personal Digital Assistants(PDA) and SmartPhone. METHODS: ECG Reporting System, built in the Cocoon framework, consists of modules of ECG Report Module and ECG Image Module. Two modules publish the applied ECG Report to each different templates according to the requesting device. The method of framework-based development in this paper features a reduction of development costs and the robust stability of system. RESULTS: The medical staff may require patient ECG information in ubiquitous healthcare environment, ECG Reporting System supports their correct judgment and expeditious response by servicing ECG report of the patient according to the requesting device. CONCLUSION: The proposed system and concept in this paper may be a good solution for developing the point of care service system supporting various mobile devices.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: HL7(Health Level 7) develops standards for the representation of clinical documents like discharge and consultation notes. The goal of the present study is to develop XML(eXtensible Markup Language)-based communication standard for discharge note. METHODS: This paper presents the use of XML for electronic communication in a document-based EMR, first, as a format for the exchange of structured message, and second, as a comprehensible way to represent patient document. A retrospective analysis of 1165 discharge notes, from the department Seoul National University Hospital, were extracted by querying OCS(Order Communication System) and taking every discharge note of main disease issued over one year period (2003.01.01~2003.12.31). RESULTS: An XML-based prototype for discharge note has been put into place representing the required "section" and "specific instance". In addition, a subset of the CDA(Clinical Document Architecture) Level One details has been described and integrated. CONCLUSION: Through the introduction of definitions for sections and specific instances, progress in the development of CDA Level Two and Three might be realized. An XML-based prototype was implemented, allowing a special view on XML data to generate this document type.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: The needs of sharing clinical documents in order for health professionals to provide better diagnosis and treatment have been tremendously increasing. However, when a patient visits the hospital, current hospital information system doesn't allow for physicians to obtain patient's medical history even though she has some records in different hospital, because the lack of the standardization to overcome the incompatibility among heterogeneous systems. CDA(Clinical Document Architecture) of HL7(Health Level 7) is standardized technology in purpose of creating and exchanging various clinical documents. In this article, we discuss the method of exchanging, storing, and utilizing CDA and present the work of development and implementation based on CDR(Clinical Document Repository) framework reported earlier9). METHODS: We convert paper-based discharge summary from each health institutions into CDA format. And in order to exchange, manage, and utilize those CDA, Registry structure of ebXML is introduced and applied. RESULTS: The relationship among patients, physicians, clinical organizations, and clinical documents is well-organized and modeled. Because transfered CDA document can be easily registered and managed by complying with RIM structure of ebXML, this system can effectively exchange and share patient's CDA document when patient move to other area or among heterogenous systems. CONCLUSION: This system can be utilized to categorize and store various clinical documents such as, ECG and Radiology reading report. In addition, this system suggests the potential of Electronic Health Record system that is able to communicate among heterogenous systems and manage the CDA documents via this CDR system.
