ABSTRACT

La sepsis es una disfunción orgánica potencialmente mortal debida a una respuesta desregulada del hospedero a la infección. No sólo contribuye con el 20 % de todas las causas de muerte de forma global, sino que los sobrevivientes de esta también pueden experimentar una significativa morbilidad a largo plazo. La sepsis y el shock séptico son emergencias médicas que requieren reconocimiento rápido, administración de antimicrobianos apropiados, soporte hemodinámico cuidadoso y control de la fuente infecciosa. El objetivo de esta revisión fue describir la definición y los criterios diagnósticos, la epidemiología, los factores de riesgo, la patogenia y la conducta inicial ante la sepsis.


Sepsis is a life-threatening organ dysfunction due to a dysregulated host response to infection. It severely impacts global disease burden as it constates 20 % of all causes of death; its survivors may experience long-term morbidity. Sepsis and septic shock are medical emergencies that require rapid identification, administration of appropriate antimicrobials, careful hemodynamic support, and control of the infection source. This review aims to update the definition of sepsis and its diagnostic criteria, epidemiology, risk factors, pathogenesis, and baseline behavior.

ABSTRACT

Wumei Pill is a classic insect repellent prescription, which is used for ascaris lumbricoides and diarrhea. It is considered to be a representative prescription for the treatment of simultaneous occurrence of cold and heat syndromes. Its prescription is mainly composed of sour drugs ( Mume Fructus and bitter wine) and pungent drugs ( Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparataaconite, Cinnamomi Ramulus, Sichuan pepper, Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Zingiberis Rhizoma, and Asari Radix et Rhizoma), supplemented by bitter drugs ( Coptidis Rhizoma and Phellodendri Chinensis Cortex) and sweet drugs ( Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma and honey). From the point of view of "Tang-Ye-Jing-Fa Map", the role of liver is to disperse, whose deficiency leads to limb syncope, and excess leads to the full of hypochondrium and abdominal pain. The pungent herbs can tonify the liver-deficiency, the sour herbs can dispel the liver-excess, and sweet herbs can relive them both. The role of spleen is to moderate, whose deficiency leads to fatigue and weakness, and excess leads to the vomiting and diarrhea. The sweet herbs can tonify the spleen-deficiency, the pungent herbs can dispel the spleen-excess, and bitter herbs can relive them both. Therefore, the function of Wumei Pills is located in the liver and spleen, giving consideration to the heart and lung. It is used for the deficiency and excess mixed syndrome of liver and spleen, which is mainly characterized by chest and flank abdominal pain, limb chills, diarrhea, muscle and pulse contracture and the symptoms of the parts along the liver meridian. It is commonly used in the treatment of ascaris, diarrhea, impotence, depression. At the same time, it can also be used for the treatment of diseases about heart and lung, and cough, anxiety and other diseases.

ABSTRACT

Arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy (ACM), a fatal heart disease characterized by fibroadipocytic replacement of cardiac myocytes, accounts for 20% of sudden cardiac death and lacks effective treatment. It is often caused by mutations in desmosome proteins, with Desmoglein-2 (DSG2) mutations as a common etiology. However, the mechanism underlying the accumulation of fibrofatty in ACM remains unknown, which impedes the development of curative treatment. Here we investigated the fat accumulation and the underlying mechanism in a mouse model of ACM induced by cardiac-specific knockout of Dsg2 (CS-Dsg2 -/-). Heart failure and cardiac lipid accumulation were observed in CS-Dsg2 -/- mice. We demonstrated that these phenotypes were caused by decline of fatty acid (FA) β-oxidation resulted from impaired mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling. Rapamycin worsened while overexpression of mTOR and 4EBP1 rescued the FA β-oxidation pathway in CS-Dsg2 -/- mice. Reactivation of PPARα by fenofibrate or AAV9-Pparα significantly alleviated the lipid accumulation and restored cardiac function. Our results suggest that impaired mTOR-4EBP1-PPARα-dependent FA β-oxidation contributes to myocardial lipid accumulation in ACM and PPARα may be a potential target for curative treatment of ACM.

ABSTRACT

A series of chemotherapeutic drugs that induce DNA damage, such as cisplatin (DDP), are standard clinical treatments for ovarian cancer, testicular cancer, and other diseases that lack effective targeted drug therapy. Drug resistance is one of the main factors limiting their application. Sensitizers can overcome the drug resistance of tumor cells, thereby enhancing the antitumor activity of chemotherapeutic drugs. In this study, we aimed to identify marketable drugs that could be potential chemotherapy sensitizers and explore the underlying mechanisms. We found that the alcohol withdrawal drug disulfiram (DSF) could significantly enhance the antitumor activity of DDP. JC-1 staining, propidium iodide (PI) staining, and western blotting confirmed that the combination of DSF and DDP could enhance the apoptosis of tumor cells. Subsequent RNA sequencing combined with Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA) pathway enrichment analysis and cell biology studies such as immunofluorescence suggested an underlying mechanism: DSF makes cells more vulnerable to DNA damage by inhibiting the Fanconi anemia (FA) repair pathway, exerting a sensitizing effect to DNA damaging agents including platinum chemotherapy drugs. Thus, our study illustrated the potential mechanism of action of DSF in enhancing the antitumor effect of DDP. This might provide an effective and safe solution for combating DDP resistance in clinical treatment.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To report 8 cases of hereditary spastic paraplegia type 35 (SPG35) in Chinese mainland, summarize the clinical and genetic features of this disease.Methods:Eight probands with SPG35, admitted in Shanghai Jiao Tong University Affiliated Sixth People′s Hospital and Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine from September 2006 to June 2021, were collected in detail. Physical examination, cranial imaging examination and whole exome sequencing were conducted, followed by Sanger sequencing and family co-segregation. In addition, the recent advances in clinical, genetic and pathogenesis studies of the disease were also reviewed.Results:Among all of the 8 patients, 7 had juvenile-onset and 1 was adult-onset. The clinical phenotype of 2 cases was pure spastic paraplegia. The other 6 cases presented with complicated form, which was characterized by not only motor dysfunction, but also cognitive impairment and dysphagia, etc. Genetic testing revealed a total of 13 fatty acid 2-hydroxylase (FA2H) gene (NM_024306) mutations, of which 6 were reported and 7 were newly reported in this study.Conclusions:SPG35 is an autosomal recessive neurodegenerative disease with highly phenotypic heterogeneity, with the causative gene as FA2H. The genotype-phenotype correlations in SPG35 are not clear.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the effects of sustained low-efficiency hemodialysis combined with hemoperfusion on routine blood indicators and inflammatory factors in patients with sepsis-induced acute kidney injury.Methods:Eighty-six patients with sepsis-induced acute kidney injury who received treatment in Yantai Laiyang Central Hospital from April 2018 to April 2021 were included in this study. They were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 43 cases in each group. All patients received conventional supportive treatment. The control group received continuous renal replacement therapy and the observation group received sustained low-efficiency dialysis combined with hemoperfusion. Before and after treatment, routine blood indicators [hemoglobin (Hb), white blood cell (WBC) count, platelet (PLT) count, albumin (Alb)], inflammatory factors [interleukin-6 (IL-6), C-reactive protein (CRP), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), procalcitonin PCT)], renal function indicators [serum creatinine (Scr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN)], The Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation (APACHE) II score, length of hospital stay, and 28-day mortality rate were compared between the two groups.Results:Before treatment, there were no significant differences in Hb, WBC count, PLT count, Alb, IL-6, CRP, TNF-α, PCT, Scr, BUN, and APACHE II score between the two groups ( t = 0.04, 0.95, 0.23, 0.67, 1.54, 0.75, 0.98, 0.23, 1.04, 0.44, 0.07, all P > 0.05). After treatment, serum levels of Hb and Alb in each group were significantly increased compared with those before treatment. After treatment, serum levels of Hb and Alb in the observation group were (105.29 ± 15.80) g/L, (39.25 ± 7.87) g/L, respectively, which were significantly higher than (98.55 ± 12.93) g/L and (33.38 ± 7.29) g/L in the control group ( t = 2.16, 3.58, both P < 0.05). After treatment, WBC count, PLT count, IL-6, CRP, TNF-α, PCT, Scr, and BUN levels, and APACHE II score in each group were significantly decreased compared with those before treatment. After treatment, WBC count, PLT count, IL-6, CRP, TNF-α, PCT, Scr, and BUN levels, and APACHE II score in the observation group were (10.28 ± 1.87) × 10 9/L, (129.32 ± 14.79) × 10 9/L, (59.00 ± 12.77) μg/L, (22.41 ± 5.01) mg/L, (28.41 ± 4.77) μg/L, (18.41 ± 2.78) μg/L, (162.01 ± 21.04) μmol/L, (7.38 ± 1.17) mmol/L, (11.28 ± 3.60) points, respectively, which were significantly lower than (12.32 ± 2.27) × 10 9/L, (137.39 ± 18.30) × 10 9/L, (79.35 ± 14.36) μg/L, (29.31 ± 6.37) mg/L, (34.33 ± 5.38) μg/L, (22.32 ± 3.35) μg/L, (184.06 ± 24.03) μmol/L, (9.87 ± 1.66) mmol/L, (14.65 ± 3.38) points in the control group ( t = 4.54, 2.24, 6.94, 5.58, 5.39, 5.89, 4.52, 8.03, 4.47, all P < 0.05). The length of intensive care unit stay in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group [(11.63 ± 2.18) days vs. (14.07 ± 2.71) days, t = 4.60, P < 0.05]. There was no significant difference in 28-day mortality rate between the two groups ( χ2 = 1.36, P > 0.05). Conclusion:Sustained low-efficiency dialysis combined with hemoperfusion is effective on sepsis-induced acute kidney injury. The combined therapy can improve routine blood indicators, inhibit inflammatory reactions, promote renal function recovery, and decrease the mortality rate to a certain degree.

Objective:Using the information technology of knowledge element theory to analyze the content of the ancient Chinese medicine book Nv Ke Xin Fa, and to explore the original thinking and implicit knowledge of the author of the book Nv Ke Xin Fa. Methods:Based on the theory and technology of knowledge element, the indexing data was read as logical data by using MS SQL Server database and then the knowledge graph of traditional Chinese medicine was constructed by using neo4j database.Results:There are 345 knowledge bodies and 1 478 knowledge elements in the Nv Ke Xin Fa, mainly including prescription name (280), composition (275) and usage (224); There are 711 semantic types, mainly including prescriptions (232), etiology and pathogenesis (221), syndrome manifestations (125) and treatment (88); 187 semantic associations, mainly syndrome differentiation and treatment (172); Knowledge of semantic association.There are 34 body types, with leucorrhea (16), amenorrhea (13), blood Avalanche (13) and asthenia (13). Conclusions:Zheng Qinyu paid attention to distinguishing the texture of leucorrhea in the treatment of leucorrhea, put forward the pathogenesis and treatment principles and methods of leucorrhea in the stages of "before childbirth" and "after childbirth", and made it clear that the application scope of Buzhong Yiqi Decoction involves menstruation, leucorrhea, pregnancy and the whole cycle of childbirth.Mrs Zheng Qinyu pays great attention to the protection on the spleen and stomach of the middle coke and regulation of Qi that could rise and fall, which could provide a reference for modern clinical diagnosis and treatment of leukorrhagia diseases.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the correlation between methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) gene polymorphism and early neurological deterioration (END) in Han population with acute ischemic stroke in Chengdu area, and the interaction with other traditional risk factors.Methods:Consecutive Han patients with acute ischemic stroke admitted to the Department of Neurology, the Third People's Hospital of Chengdu from January 2017 to June 2019 were enrolled prospectively. Using the candidate gene association study method, MTHFR gene C677T polymorphism was used as a genetic marker to analyze the correlation between END and MTHFR gene polymorphism, and analyze the interaction of gene-END traditional risk factors.Results:A total of 434 patients with acute ischemic stroke were enrolled in the study, and 129 had END (29.7%). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that hyperglycemia (odds ratio [ OR] 2.410, 95% confidence interval [ CI] 1.436-4.046; P<0.001), hyperhomocysteinemia ( OR 2.570, 95% CI 1.229-5.376; P=0.012) and moderate to severe neurological deficit (baseline National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score >5) ( OR 2.158, 95% CI 1.337-3.484; P=0.002) at admission were independently correlated with END. There was a correlation between C677T polymorphism and END. TT genotype ( OR 1.710, 95% CI 1.021-2.863; P=0.002) and A allele ( OR 1.583, 95% CI 1.181-2.121; P=0.002) could significantly increase the risk of END. Interaction analysis showed that there was interaction effect between C677T polymorphism and hyperglycemia at admission, alcohol drinking and moderate to severe neurological deficit. Interaction could increase the risk of END, but it did not reach statistical significance ( OR 1.237, 95% CI 0.227-6.734; P=0.806). Conclusion:MTHFR gene C677T polymorphism and hyperhomocysteinemia are associated with END in Han population with acute ischemic stroke in Chengdu area.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of medicated thread moxibustion of Zhuang Minority medicine on helper T cell 17 (Th17)/ Interleukin-17F(IL-17F) signaling pathway in ulcerative colitis (UC) rats, so as to explore its mechanisms underlying improvement of UC. METHODS: Forty male SD rats were randomly divided into normal control, model, medication and medicated thread moxibustion (MTM) groups, with 10 rats in each group. The UC model was induced by free drinking of 4% dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) for 10 d. After successful modeling, rats of the medication group were treated by gavage of salazosulfapyridine (SASP). Medicated thread moxibustion was applied to unilateral "Tianshu" (ST25) and "Qihai" (CV6) alternatively for rats of the MTM group, once daily for 14 d. The body mass, stool shape, and fecal occult test were recorded and conducted daily to perform disease activity index (DAI) score. H.E. staining was used to display pathological changes of the colon tissue. The Th17 cells and IL-17F and retinoic acid related orphan receptor γ t (ROR-γt) in the colon tissue were detected by flow cytometry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), respectively, and the expression levels of RORγt and IL-17F mRNA in colon tissue were detected by quantitive real-time PCR. RESULTS: After modeling, the DAI score, colonic Th17 percentage, RORγt and IL-17F contents, and RORγt and IL-17F mRNA expression were significantly increased in the model group in contrast to the normal control group (P0.05, except RORγt and IL-17F mRNA expression). H.E. staining showed disappearance of goblet cells, infiltration of a large number of inflammatory cells, exfoliation of the epithelial tissue and edema of colonic mucosal in rats of the model group, which was relatively milder in both medication and MTM groups. CONCLUSION: Medicated thread moxibustion of Zhuang Minority medicine can reduce the inflammatory damage of colon tissue in UC rats, which is associated with its effects in suppressing the expression of RORγt, production of Th17 cells, and secretion of pro-inflammatory factor IL-17F in colon tissue.

ABSTRACT

The patient was a 44-year-old man with right facial paralysis as the main complaint. Upon resection of a be­nign parotid gland tumor (6 cm in diameter), one of the buccal branches of the right facial nerve was severed. Immediately after the surgery, facial nerve paralysis occurred in the areas innervated by the buccal and marginal mandibular branches. Therefore, on the 5th day after the surgery, acupuncture was started. The paralyzed facial site was treated weekly for 15 minutes by inserting a disposable acupuncture needle (40 mm in length and 0.16 mm in thickness) about 5 mm deep into the site. As a result, the discomfort around the right ear was alleviated and the right facial nerve paralysis was gradually improved and cured in 6 months after the onset. Acupuncture may have prevented secondary changes such as tissue scarring and atrophy after the surgery, and promoted healing. The paralysis of the areas innervated by the buccal branches may have been improved through re­rooting from the other branches in the periphery region of the neurectomy site. The present case is informative in considering the indications of acupuncture.

Objective@#To compare the measurement accuracy of two⁃dimensional (2D) photography and three⁃di⁃mensional (3D) photography in the analysis of the asymmetric appearance of children with cleft lip and palate and the influence of the severity of asymmetric deformity on the accuracy of facial measurement to guide clinical measurement work@* Methods@#Children with unilateral cleft lip were enrolled in this prospective study. Seven parameters⁃⁃the devia⁃tion of the pronasale, subnasale, and labrale superius, as well as the cleft/noncleft ratio of the width of nostrils, length and height of lateral lips and height of columella⁃were measured with Vernier calipers as the gold standard. Traditional 2D photography and 3D stereophotogrammetry photos were taken and measured. The extent of cleft malformation is indi⁃cated by the ratio of the cleft side to the noncleft side. The error size is represented by the ratio difference between two⁃dimensional photography or stereophotogrammetry with the ratio of the gold standard@* Results@#Thirteen patients were eventually recruited. The measurement results of the ratio of lateral lip height by 2D photography tended to be larger (P=0.019), and the measurement results of the ratio of columella height tended to be smaller (P=0.008). The measure⁃ment results of the deviation of the subnasale by stereophotogrammetry tended to be smaller (P=0.003). The pronasale deviation (P=0.022) with two⁃dimensional photography, the deviation of the labrale superius (P=0.025) and the ratio of lateral lip length (P=0.036) with stereophotogrammetry had a significant negative correlation with the extent of cleft malformation@* Conclusion@#Both two⁃dimensional photography and stereophotogrammetry have errors and biases that underexaggerate or overexaggerate the extent of cleft malformation, and some errors may increase with the decrease in the extent of cleft malformation. When applying two⁃dimensional and three⁃dimensional photography to analyze cleft lip and palate deformities, these biases should be considered to evaluate the face more objectively

ABSTRACT

Medial circumflex femoral artery(MCFA) usually arises from the Profunda femoris artery(PFA) in the femoral triangle and is the chief source of blood supply to the head of femur. Knowledge about the anatomy of MCFA is essential during orthopedic procedures and interventional surgeries. AIM: To study the variations in the origin of medial circumflex femoral artery MATERIALS AND METHODS:100 lower limbs, by dissection method. RESULTS: MCFA arose from PFA in 65% and from FA(Femoral artery) in 35%.A common stem for PFA and MCFA was found in 15%.A common stem for MCFA, Lateral circumflex femoral artery and PFA was found in 4%.

ABSTRACT

The "Mai Dong (bing) Fa" (pathogenesis of channel or meridian disorders) was proposed in the concept by Huangfu MI (from the Jin Dynasty), and was classified and elaborated according to the characteristics and comprehensive analysis of symptoms and signs collected by inspection, auscultation and olfaction, inquiry and pulse taking and palpation in his book Zhen Jiu Jia Yi Jing (A-B Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion). In-depth exploration on the academic origin of "pathogenesis of meridian disorders" may help us understand the connotation of meridian problems once again. Firstly, when the meridian falls in disorder, resulting in abnormal functional changes and then a series of symptoms and signs arose. Secondly, generally, not just one meridian falls in disorders, but more meridians are simultaneously involved, which needs to be differentiated through comprehensive analysis of the four diagnostic methods and meridian identification. Thirdly, based on the diagnosis of the disorders of the related meridians, appropriate acupoints are selected. Correct understanding about the "pathogenesis of meridian disorders" is definitely helpful to our observation and summarization of modern clinical diseases and theoretical sublimation, and also favorable to guide our clinical practice and clarification of meridian-collateral's implications.

Skillful in the treatment of gouty arthritis (GA) by integrated therapies of Chinese and Western medicine,chief physician Zhang Tang-fa proposes to ‘deal with the exterior with the needles,and attack the interior with the drugs,by integrated application of acupuncture and herbal medicine',in combination with comprehensive intervention of dietetic therapy and health education.In the treatment of GA,he adopts the syndrome differentiation based upon the pathogenic factors,in combination of syndrome differentiation based upon the six meridians,to reinforce and benefit the spleen and kidney,clear away heat and remove dampness as the therapeutic principle.By acupuncture mainly at the acupoints of the Spleen and Liver Meridians,he also proposes to select the acupoints by the theory of Na Zi Fa (earthly branch method) of Zi Wu Liu Zhu (midnight-noon ebb-flow),and to puncture the surrounding area of the involved joints shallowly by multiple needles as the major needling method,simultaneously with the reinforcing and reducing manipulations based upon the respiration.In the treatment,acupuncture and acupoint-injection are often used.In diet,low purine diet is often suggested.In health education,the patients are often instructed to understand the disease correctly,eliminate fears and cooperate with doctor's treatment positively.

Objective:By applying moxibustion to the eight confluent points in different periods of time,to observe the changes in thermal pain threshold latency of acupoints based on Fei Teng Ba Fa.Methods:A total of 468 healthy college student volunteers received moxibustion at the eight confluent points in three different periods of time,i.e.Chen (7:00-9:00),Wu (11:00-13:00) and Xu (19:00-21:00).The thermal pain threshold latency was adopted to measure the changes in pain threshold of the eight confluent points under different conditions (different periods of time,different genders,different acupoints and different states of the acupoints) based on Fei Teng Ba Fa.Results:Finally,thirty subjects dropped out and 438 subjects were included.The comparison of thermal pain threshold latencies of the eight confluent points in the same opening or closing state based on Fei Teng Ba Fa:latencies of the closing points and adjunct points were significantly different in different periods of time (P<0.05);the latencies of the males were significantly longer than those of the females (P<0.05);there was no significant difference in the latency between the left and right sides (P>0.05);in the female group,there was a significant difference in the latency between the lower-limb points and the upper-limb points (P<0.05).The comparison of thermal point threshold latencies of the eight confluent points in different opening or closing state:in the period of Wu (11:00-13:00),the latencies of the opening points were significantly longer than those of the closing points and adjunct points (P<0.05);for men,their opening and closing points had significantly longer thermal pain threshold latencies than their adjunct points (P<0.05);despite the gender,the latencies of the upper limb opening and closing points were significantly longer than the latency of the adjunct points (P<0.05);in the female group,the latencies of the lower-limb opening points were significantly shorter than those of the lower-limb closing and adjunct points (P<0.05).Conclusion:Based on Fei Teng Ba Fa,the pain thresholds of the eight confluent points vary in different periods of time,gender,acupoint location and opening/closing state,which can be taken as the evidence of making time-based acupuncture-moxibustion prescriptions.

@#[Abstract] Objective: To establish paclitaxel(PTX)-resistant human triple negative breast cancer cell line and to examine the expression profile of FA-related genes and FANCF, the correlation between the expression of FA-related genes, FANCF and PTX-resistance in breast cancer were further analyzed. Methods: PTX-resistant MDA-MB-231 cell line was established by means of long-term PTX-exposed culture. The sensitivity of the cells to paclitaxel was determined by the CCK8 assay. The cell cycle distribution was examined by flow cytometry after exposure to the paclitaxel. The expression of FA-related gene mRNA and FANCF protein were examined by using real time quantitative PCR and Western blotting. The expression of FANCF in the cells was reduced by RNAi interference technology and the effect of the RNAi was verified. Results: MDA-MB-231/PTX cell showed a 9.9-fold resistance to paclitaxel, indicating that the cell had acquired resistance to PTX. PTX treatment significantly induced G0/G1 arrest and the number of cells in phase S markedly decreased after exposure to PTX. The mRNA and protein expression of FANCF was significantly higher in PTX-resistant cell than that in PTX-sensitve parental cell,Knockdown of FANCF induced apoptosis in MDA-MB-231/PTX cell as well as in parental cell. FANCF knockdown increased the sensitivity of paclitaxel to both MDA-MB-231 and MDA-MB-231/PTX cells (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Conclusion: FANCF played an important role in PTX resistance of the breast cancer cells and FANCF might be a target for therapy aimed at reversing chemoresistance.

Aim To investigate the mechanism of dia-betes changing the hepatic CYP1 A2 through in vitro cell culture study.Methods The function of CYP1 A2 in HepG2 and Fa2N-4 cells were evaluated by determi-ning the level of phenacetin metabolism,and the mR-NA expression of CYP1 A2 in cells was detected by real time PCR.HepG2 cells were co-cultured with serum of diabetic rats(type 1 and type 2)and normal rats,then the CYP1 A2 function in cells were evaluated.Then, the HepG2 and Fa2N-4 cells were co-cultured with a series of concentrations of saturated (including palmitic acid and stearic acid)and unsaturated fatty acids(in-cluding oleic acid and linoleic acid)for 48 h,and the function and expression of CYP1 A2 in the cells were compared.Results It was found that the activities of CYP1 A2 were higher in cells incubated with diabetic serum of both type.All high concentration of fatty acids could increase the function and expression of CYP1 A2 in both HepG2 and Fa2N-4 cells.Conclusion It is speculated that the abnormal level of fatty acids under diabetic state might be part of the reasons why diabetes change the hepatic CYP1 A2,which provides the basis for future study.

Objective:To investigate the relationship between FA,ET-1,Hcy and VEGF in patients with pregnancy induced hypertension.Methods:Selected 80 cases of patients with pregnancy induced hypertension who were treated in our hospital from January 2013 to September 2016,divided into A group (40 cases),and preeclampsia and preeclampsia B group (40 cases),60 cases of normal late pregnant women as C group,60 cases of normal non pregnant women as D group.The plasma levels of FA,ET-1,Hcy and VEGF in each group were detected,and the correlation analysis was performed.Results:The plasma levels of FA and VEGF of group B were lowest in the four groups (P<0.05),the plasma ET-1 and Hcy levels of group B were highest (P<0.05).The plasma FA and VEGF levels of women with pregnancy induce hypertension were lower than those of the healthy late pregnant women.The plasma ET-1 and Hcy levels were higher (P<0.05).The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that FA,ET-1,Hcy and VEGF levels were risk factors for pregnancy induce hypertension.Conclusion:The elevation of plasma Hcy level caused by FA deficiency in pregnancy might be related to the development of the disease and the incidence of pregnancy induced hypertension syndrome,VEGF might be an important factor in the occurrence and development of pregnancy induced hypertension syndrome.

ABSTRACT

Objective To compare the therapeutic efficacy betweenLing Gui Ba Fa(eight magic turtle techniques) acupuncture and ordinary acupuncture in treating irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D).Method Sixty patients were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was intervened byLing Gui Ba Faacupuncture at Gongsun (SP4) and Neiguan (PC6), and the control group was intervened by ordinary needling Gongsun and Neiguan. For both groups, Tianshu (ST25), Dachangshu (BL25), Shangjuxu (ST37), Fenglong (ST40), and Pishu (BL20) were added. Theclinical efficacies of the two groups were compared by evaluating the irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) clinical symptoms score and IBS Quality of Life (IBS-QOL) questionnaire. The two groups were treated 3 times a week, 10 sessions as a treatment course, andwere evaluated by using the scales before and after the treatment followed by statistical analysis and determination of the therapeutic efficacy.Result The scales were significantly improved in both groups after the treatment (P<0.05), and the improvement in the treatment group was superior to that in the control group (P<0.01); the total effective rate was 90% (27/30) in the treatment group, higher than 80% (24/30) in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Ling Gui Ba Faacupuncture can produce a more significant efficacy than ordinary acupuncture in treating IBS-D, and can obviously enhance the quality of life of thepatients, providing an advantageous treatment scheme to clinic.
