ABSTRACT

Abstract Introduction: the term post-Fordism refers to the evolution of labour organization according to the new production models that emerged in the second half of the 20th century. As a result of substantial changes in the mechanisms of regulation and contracting, they prioritize the flexibilization and fragmentation of the employer-employee relationship. With the advent of information technology, post-Fordism gained new moulds and became hyperbolized with the online platform economies and the so-called uberization of work. Objectives: to critically analyse the characteristics of the post-Fordist model and its impacts in occupational health. Methods: this research was carried out with a review of the literature. Results: we point to three aspects of the post-Fordist model: 1) work instability; 2) work overload; and 3) psychosocial demand. The impact of these aspects, determinant on labour activities, have strong associations with bad health outcomes, especially in mental health. Conclusions: these changes in the conceptualization of workers and the place of work in their lives require new ways of thinking about occupational health. A clear perception of its dynamics, and a mobilization of multisectoral efforts, is needed to mitigate the consequences of this model.

ABSTRACT

Antonio Gramsci theorized certainly not in the Prison Notebooks any particular aspect of physical education. Nevertheless, considerations, especially in the Book 22 (Americanism and Fordism) bring relevant issues to think about the role of the body in the change of type of capitalism that it came into Europe in the 1930s. Whereas these bases of operation of the company spread to almost all over the globe, is extremely important for all educators to understand how the capital did not neglect a pedagogy of the body, including, but not limited practice bodily discipline through sport and physical education curriculum

ABSTRACT

As a component of business discourse, competency-based education emerges associatedwith productive restructuring processes that characterized the economy since 1970. Theseprocesses arise as a consequence of the crisis of the mass accumulation model based onproduction and consumption following the principles of Taylorism and Fordism. In the lastdecades, the State has been unable to solve the periodic crises that afflict late capitalism.Because of this, the State moves away from its economic mission by promoting marketingmechanisms and, in the meantime, tries to manage the motivational crisis of the population. This challenge forces the State to take interest in the vital world of individuals trying tosolve the legitimacy crisis through educational reforms that affect the world of work. Therelationship between the vertiginous changes of the world of work and a new educationalapproach is explicit. The latter must include management capacity, learning capacity, teamworkcapacity, and self-training. A direct relationship between the technological advance, the structural crisis of capitalism, and the division of labor results from that situation andthe term “qualification” is r eplaced with “competency f ormation”...
