ABSTRACT
Objective To analyze the population characteristics, diagnostic characteristics and drug characteristics of patients with ovarian malignant tumor in the real world; To provide references for the clinical rational use of Fufang Kushen Injection.Methods Based on the electronic medical data warehouse of hospital information system of 39 hospitals from nationwide,the use of Fufang Kushen Injection in the treatment and diagnosis of electronic health data in patients with ovarian malignant tumor from August 2003 to December 2014 were extracted. Analysis of frequency and rate were based on the description of the demographic information, diagnosis information, records information such as the characteristics of prescription drugs. Result Data of 22 hospitals, including 1510 cases of patients with ovarian malignant tumor. The average age of patients was (54.93±12.75) years old, and obstetrics and gynecology department and oncology department had the most hospitalized patients, and outpatient admission is the most common hospitalized way. The single dose was (14.53±4.24)mL, and the course of treatment was (6.62±5.49)d.In the treatment of ovarian malignant tumors, combined western medicines were mainly anti-tumor chemotherapy drugs, immunomodulators, hepatoprotective agents, H1 receptor antagonists and electrolyte balance regulator, while combined TCM were clearing heat and antidote medicine, tonifying yang qi medicine, tonifying qi medicine, regulating qi medicine, and hemostatic medicine. The total effective rate was 47.85%. Conclusion Population characteristics of Fufang Kushen Injection in the treatment of ovarian malignant tumors are clear;and the real world clinical dosage, course of treatment with instructions related to define the scope of the basic varieties. Clinical combination has a wide range of drugs.

To analyze the clinical application of Fufang Kushen Injection in treating indication (therioma) in the real world based on hospital information system (HIS) database, and provide references for clinical application of Fufang Kushen Injection. A total of 44 588 patients with therioma were extracted from the electronic medical data using Fufang Kushen Injection from 22 large-scale 3A hospitals based on HIS. We have made a descriptive analysis based on frequency and rate of general information, western medicine diagnosis, dosage, course of treatment, combination medication, and discharge outcomes. The average age of patients treated with Fufang Kushen Injection for therioma was 57.30 years old; The male patients were more than females; Oncology and outpatient admissions were the main criteria, and most of the admissions were general; The frequency distribution of western medicine diagnosis with Fufang Kushen Injection were lung, liver, stomach, colon, breast, and other malignant tumors; The maximum dosage was 10-20 mL; The common course of treatment was 4-7 d; The combination of clinical common drugs include antineoplastic chemotherapeutic agents, immunomodulatory drugs, antibiotics, glucocorticoid drugs, 5-HT receptor blockers, etc. Fufang Kushen Injection has been widely used in the clinical treatment of therioma with different systems and different conditions. The characteristics of the indication population are clear, and it conforms to the general rule of therioma; The clinical dosage and course of treatment basically meet the requirements of the variety specification, and the type of combination drugs is more extensive.

The present study was aimed to analyze the association rules of Fufang Kushen injection in combination with other modern medications in treating lung cancer based on the electrical medical records in real world clinical situations extracted from hospital information system in Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, and provide reference for improving rationality of clinical drug use and exploring the prescription rules as well as subsequent in-depth analysis. The electrical medical records of the hospitalized patients using Fufang Kushen injection for lung cancer were extracted to analyze the frequency distribution characteristics in combined application with western medicine, and Apriori algorithm was used to analyze the specific association rules in combined drug use. A total of 49 597 patients were included in the study. The commonly combined modern medications included 5-HT receptor blockers, antibiotics, chemotherapy drugs, antitumor immune regulating drugs, glucocorticoid drugs and analgesics, which was usually applied in combination with traditional Chinese medications such as those for removing blood stasis, spleen and stomach nourishing drugs, Qi-regulating agent, heat-clearing and detoxifying prescriptions, laxative and Qi invigorating agent in clinical treatment. The results revealed that the distribution characteristics in combined application and association combinations of Fufang Kushen injection had specific rules, consistent with the clinical orientation of this drug in treatment of lung cancer. Such results may provide reference for reasonable application of Fufang Kushen injection in clinical treatment.

This study was aimed to analyze the clinical application of Fufang Kushen (FFKS) injection in treating colonic malignant tumors in the real world based on the hospital information system (HIS) database,in order to provide references for clinical application of FFKS injection.The electronic medical records were extracted from 3328 patients with colonic malignant tumors using FFKS injection from 22 large-scale triple-A hospitals nationwide based on the data warehouse of HIS established by the Institute of Basic Research in Clinical Medicine,China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences.The descriptive analysis of frequency and rate was made on general characteristics,diagnostic characteristics,dosage and characteristics of medication information,characteristics of drug combination,characteristics of discharge outcome and etc.The results showed that the average age of patients treated with FFKS injection for colonic malignant tumors was 61.85 years old,with more males than females.Patients were mainly hospitalized from the department of digestology and oncology.The single dose of medication was usually 10-20 ml.The main course of treatment was 4-7 days.Common clinical medications in combination included Tropisetron injection,thymus peptide injection,oxaliplatin injection,fluorouracil,leucovorin injection and etc.The total efficiency was 39.78％ based on the discharge outcomes.It was concluded that the population characteristics of using FFKS injection to treat colonic malignant tumors were clear and in line with the general rule of colonic malignant tumors.The clinical dosage and scope of FFKS injection in the real world of colonic malignant tumors treatment basically meet the medication instruction.The clinical drug combination type is more extensive.

The electronic medical data from 2 550 patients with malignant esophageal tumors using Fufang Kushen injection from 22 large-scale hospitals nationwide were extracted based on the hospital information system (HIS) established by Institute of Basic Research in Clinical Medicine, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. Then the descriptive analysis based on frequency and rate was conducted for general characteristics, diagnostic characteristics, characteristics of dosage and medication information, characteristics of drug combination, and discharge outcome characteristics. The results showed that the average age of patients treated with Fufang Kushen injection for malignant esophageal tumors was 62.3 years old; more males than females; admitted to hospital mainly in department of cardiology, oncology and digestology first. The total efficiency was 47.15% based on the discharge outcome characteristics; the most common dosage was 10-20 mL for single use; the course of treatment was mainly 4-7 d; and the common drugs in drug combinations included dexamethasone, tropisetron injection, thymosin injection, compound amino acid injection, pantoprazole sodium injection, fluorouracil, et al. The characteristics of the crowd using Fufang Kushen injection to treat the malignant esophageal tumors were clear and in line with the general rule of malignant esophageal tumors; its clinical dosage and scope of treatment for malignant esophageal tumors in the real world were basically consistent with the specification; and the types of clinical drug use combinations were more extensive.

Fufang Kushen injection is used in real world clinical situations to treat different types of malignant tumors. The present study aimed to analyze the association rules of Fufang Kushen injection in combination with other traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) or modern medications in treating malignant tumors based on the electrical medical records extracted from real-world hospital information system. This real world retrospective analysis was based on the clinicians' prescriptions regarding to such treatment by combined TCM and modern medications. Hospital information system data from 22 hospitals, including electrical medical records of 44 588 patients with malignant tumors and Fufang Kushen injection were included in this study, providing useful reference for the development of clinical treatment ideas, and providing reference for clinical rational use of Fufang Kushen injection. High correlation and causal relations were not present in this study, so further exploration and analysis were still needed for the conclusion.
ABSTRACT
Objective To establish an HPLC-ELSD method for the determination of pinitol in Fufang Kushen Injection. Methods Chromatographic condition was as follows:Cosmosil Sugar-D column (250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm), the mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile-water in gradient mode, the temperature of the drift tube of 77 ℃, and the gas flow rate of 2.0 L/min. Results The standard curve of pinitol was rectilinear within the range of 0.5-10.0 μg, r=0.999 6 (n=5). The average recovery was 97.30%(RSD=1.29%, n=5). Conclusion The method is simple and rapid, the result is accurate, reliable and reproducible.
