ABSTRACT

Resumo Este estudo procurou avaliar a efetividade de um treinamento em Entrevista Motivacional (EM) para estudantes do último ano de diferentes cursos na área da saúde. Usando um delineamento pré e pós-teste quase-experimental, 60 estudantes receberam um treinamento de oito horas de habilidades básicas da Entrevista Motivacional. As habilidades foram avaliadas por meio de uma vinheta clínica, das Réguas de Confiança e Importância e do Questionário de Resposta Útil, codificado utilizando o Motivational Interviewing Skill Code. O treinamento foi associado com melhora no uso das habilidades básicas da Entrevista Motivacional. Os alunos também aumentaram a percepção da importância em utilizar essas habilidades com os pacientes, mesmo com um treinamento breve.


Abstract This study sought to evaluate the effectiveness of Motivational Interviewing (MI) training on undergraduate students in the senior year of different healthcare courses. Using a pre and post-test quasi-experimental design, 60 undergraduate students received an eight-hour Motivational Interviewing basic skills training. Basic skills were assessed using a clinical vignette, the Confidence and Importance Ruler and The Helpful Responses Questionnaire, which was coded using the Motivational Interviewing Skill Code. The training was associated with improvements in motivational interviewing basic skills. Students also showed increased awareness of the importance of using these skills with patients, even after a brief training.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the teaching activity on public health courses from clinical medical students in our university in order to provide a scientific basis for improving the curriculum design and teaching reform. Methods The “Questionnaire on Teaching Evaluation in Public Health Courses”, including teaching attitude, teaching content, teaching methods and teaching effectiveness was designed, and a general investigation was conducted among the clinical medical students of five-year program (840 students) and eight-year program (278 students) in these three aspects to under-stand students' evaluation to the course, who had finished the public health courses, including Preven-tive Medicine, Medical Statistics and Epidemiology (hereinafter referred to as: statistics, epidemiology, prevention) in Sun Yat-sen University. Statistical analysis was made using SPSS 13.0 software. Data analysis methods contain descriptive analysis, T-test, ANOVA, LSD, SNK, hierarchical logistic regres-sion analysis, etc. Results The overall score of teaching evaluation is (4.04±0.60). Differences exist between the evaluation in the five-year medical students and the eight-year medical students. The P values were 0.000 (Medical Statistics), 0.269 (Epidemiology), 0.047 (Preventive Medicine). The com-parison of scores among the four dimensions shows: Teaching effectiveness β' effectiveness. Conclusions Clinical Medical students' overall evaluation on the public health courses offered by this university was good. Teaching effectiveness and teaching methods still need improvement. Teaching contents are the most influential factor of overall teaching satisfaction, followed by teaching effectiveness.

ABSTRACT

O uso de álcool é uma das principais condições que apresentam conotação moralizante no mundo. O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar os estereótipos e a atribuição moral de graduandos de cursos da área da saúde acerca da dependência de álcool. Participaram do estudo 138 estudantes matriculados nos cursos de Enfermagem, Medicina, Psicologia e Serviço Social. Os instrumentos utilizados foram: questionário sobre características do estudante, questionário sobre estereótipos e moralização do uso de álcool. Verificou-se que para uso de álcool o modelo de percepção que os estudantes possuíam era o moral e que uma de suas maiores dificuldades era lidar com alcoolistas.


Alcohol use is one of the major conditions that display a worldwide moralizing connotation. The objective of this present article was to investigate the stereotypes and the moral attribution of the Health College Students (HCS) about the dependence of alcohol. 138 HCS enrolled on undergraduate health courses participated of the study. Three instruments were used: questionnaire about the personal characteristics of the professionals, Evaluation questionnaire about stereotypes and moralization of the use of alcohol. Was verified that for the use of alcohol, the perception model of the HCS was moral and one of the biggest difficulties for them dealing with the patients referred to the alcoholics.
