ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE To assess the clinical characters, diagnosis and treatment of invasive pulmonary(aspergillosis) in hemopathy patients.METHODS The hospitalized patients with hemopathy from Jul 2004 to Jun 2005 was retrospectivly analyzed.RESULTS Among 155 hemopathy cases,3 cases developed invasive pulmonary(aspergillosis),from them 2 died and 1 cured.CONCLUSIONS Overimmnosuppression is one of the main risk factors for invasive pulmonary aspergillosis.Amphotericin B is still the best choice for the treatment of aspergillosis and its gradual, low concentration administration can ease the side effects.

ABSTRACT

Objective The misdiagnosis reasons of multiple myeloma were explored in order to reduce the in- cidence of misdiagnosis. Methods Medical records of the patients with multiple myeloma in Huainan Xinkang Hos- pital from 1997 to 2006 were checked retrospectively, and all the records were statistically analyzed. Results Among atl the 21 cases with multiple myeloma, only 6 cases were diagnosed correct. And the other 15 cases were diagnosed incorrect with the misdiagnosis incidence of 71.4%.Conclusion The main misdiagnosis reasons of multiple myelo- ma were absence of characteristic clinical manifestations, and the manifestations were with variety and similarity to other common diseases.

ABSTRACT

The study process of TCM syndrome spectra of hemopathy is the process to recognize the syndrome characteristics of the onset, development of hemopathy, it bases on norm of TCM symptoms and syndrome. In this course, it could not only find common feature of syndrome, but also analyze distribution regularity of TCM syndrome. Thus to establish sequence of hemopathic syndrome, and to provide the basis for clinic determination of treatment based on syndrome differentiation, and provide the foundation for finding correlation of TCM syndrome and target tests.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE To investigate the distribution and resistance of fungi isolated from hemopathy patients, and to provide the laboratorial data in order to prevent and treat infection caused by fungi more effectively.METHODS Strains were isolated from the upper respiratory tract, lower respiratory tract, genitourinary tract, alimentary tract;and perianal region, perineum, and the soft tissue and skin wounds.Antimicrobial susceptibility of clinical isolates was tested by broth microdilution susceptibility test.RESULTS Candida albicans,Aspergillus, tropicalis,C.krusei, and C.glabrata were the main fungi of total 3104 detected isolates. The resistance rates of C.albicans and C.tropicalis to fluconazole, itraconazole and 5-flucytosine were no more than 1.4%.The MIC50-MIC90 range of C.tropicalis for itraconazole was narrow(0.25-0.5 mg/L),but that was wide for fluconazole(0.25-4.0 mg/L).CONCLUSIONS C.albicans,Aspergillus,C.tropicalis,C.krusei,and C.glabrata are possibly the most common pathogens causing endogenous and exogenous fungi infection. The main infection sites of Aspergillus are the upper respiratory tract and lower respiratory tract, which may be associated possibly with ward's air quality. The MIC50to MIC90 range of C.tropicalis is wider for fluconazole than for itraconazole, which is possibly correlated with overexpression of CtMDR1 in C.tropicalis caused by the widely application of fluconazole in therapy.
