ABSTRACT
Este artigo tem por objetivo apresentar dados biográficos e considerações em torno da obra de Hermine von Hug-Hellmuth uma das mais importantes figuras da psicanálise de crianças e adolescentes. Provavelmente questões políticas dentro da psicanálise na época e fatos relevantes de sua vida pessoal contribuíram para que esta autora permanecesse muito tempo na obscuridade, não lhe sendo dada a importância merecida, uma vez que foi, verdadeiramente, uma pioneira da psicanálise de crianças e adolescentes. Sua obra é testemunho da contribuição técnica original para psicanálise nessa faixa etária.
The aim of this article is to present biographical data and some considerations about Hermine von Hug-Hellmuth, one of the most important figures in psychoanalysis of children and adolescents. Political issues within psychoanalysis at the time, alongside relevant facts about her personal life are likely to have contributed to this author's long period of obscurity, not being given the importance she deserved, since she had definitely been one of the pioneers of psychoanalysis of children and adolescents. Her work is the testinony of the original tchnical contribution to children and adoscents psychoanalysis.
