ABSTRACT
Introducción: En la Facultad de Tecnología de la Salud se estudia la carrera Sistemas de Información en Salud que incluye en su plan de estudios diversas asignaturas como Sistemas de Información de Estadísticas de Salud, en la que se incluye el estudio de los indicadores hospitalarios del recurso cama; materia que se imparte de forma tradicional y no tiene una herramienta tecnológica de apoyo que facilite el proceso educativo. Objetivo: Diseñar un prototipo de multimedia educativa que favorezca el auto-aprendizaje de los indicadores del recurso cama hospitalaria en la asignatura Sistemas de Información de Estadísticas de Salud de la carrera Sistemas de Información en Salud. Método: Se realizó un estudio de desarrollo tecnológico donde fueron encuestados estudiantes y se entrevistó a la profesora de la asignatura para la obtención de la información. Se utilizó la metodología de Proceso Unificado de Desarrollo y el Lenguaje Unificado de Modelado. Se emplearon las herramientas Visual Paradigm para el modelado, Axure para la creación del prototipo y Mediator para el futuro diseño de la multimedia. Resultados: Se identificaron los problemas de aprendizaje desde la visión de alumnos y profesores, lo que permitió diseñar el prototipo de multimedia educativa sobre los indicadores hospitalarios del recurso cama, que fue considerado útil y pertinente. Conclusiones: Se diseñó un prototipo de multimedia educativa que de manera combinada con el método actual de enseñanza facilitarán y efectuarán de forma dinámica las actividades en el proceso docente educativo(AU)
Introduction: Health Information Systems career is included In the Faculty of Health Technology; the career have in its curriculum subjects as Health Statistics Information Systems, in which the study of hospital resource bed indicators is carried out; the subject is taught in a traditional way and does not have a technological support tool that facilitates the educational process. Objective: To design an educational multimedia prototype that favors self-learning of the indicators of the hospital bed resource in the Health Statistics Information Systems subject of the Health Information Systems career. Method: A survey of students and interview of teachers permitted to obtain the information needed to carry out a study of technological development using Unified Development Process methodology and Unified Modeling Language; Visual Paradigm tools were used for modeling; Axure for prototyping and Mediator for future multimedia design. Results: there were identified learning problems from the perspective of students and teachers, which allowed the design of the educational multimedia prototype on hospital bed resource indicators, considering it useful and pertinent. Conclusions: The design of the educational multimedia prototype, combined with the current teaching method, will facilitate and dynamically carry out the activities in the educational teaching process(AU)

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo transversal a fin de analizar los indicadores hospitalarios que miden el aprovechamiento del recurso cama en el Servicio de Geriatría del Hospital Clinicoquirúrgico Docente "Ambrosio Grillo Portuondo" de Santiago de Cuba, desde 1989 hasta el 2009. Entre los principales resultados sobresalieron: el aumento de los ingresos por año, la estadía promedio de 11-18 días y la rotación promedio de 16 días, con un índice ocupacional medio de 72 %. Se concluye que, a pesar de las dificultades presentadas durante algunos años, los indicadores fueron óptimos, razón por la cual se hace necesario resaltar el trabajo realizado por el equipo multidisciplinario que atendió a los pacientes en dicho Servicio.
A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted to analyze the hospital indicators measuring the use of the bed resource in the Geriatrics Department of "Ambrosio Grillo Portuondo" Clinical Surgical Teaching Hospital in Santiago de Cuba, from 1989 to 2009. Among the main results the increase in incomes per year, the average stay of 11-18 days and the average rotation of 16 days prevailed, with a mean occupancy rate of 72%. It is concluded that despite the difficulties presented for some years, the indicators were optimal, reason why it is necessary to highlight the work of the multidisciplinary team who treated patients in this service.

La necesidad de incluir un mayor número de historias clínicas en el local asignado para archivo y localizar en estos con mayor rapidez la información de valor que se desea de hospitalizaciones anteriores, propició un estudio encaminado a resolver esta dificultad, el que recomendó sustituir la hoja de egreso vigente, por otro formulario diseñado expresamente, denominado Informe de Alta. Se establecieron las normas de trabajo para la extracción de documentos dos años después de concluida la hospitalización del paciente. A partir de enero del año 2000 el hospital "Hermanos Ameijeiras" sustituyó la hoja de egreso por el Informe de Alta y lo incluyó en el proyecto de automatización del departamento de registros médicos del hospital. Después de ocho años de la implantación del Informe de Alta, con un doble propósito: eliminación de documentos de la historia clínica y ser registro básico para obtener información de calidad para la toma de decisiones, se realizó una evaluación que rindió buenos resultados que se presentan en este trabajo.
The need of keeping higher number of medical histories in some premises for archiving and of locating as fast as possible the valuable information on previous stays at hospital if needed, prompted the carrying out of a study to solve this difficulty, which recommended to replace the present discharge form by another custom-designed formulary called Hospital discharge report. The working standards to draw documents out two years after the patient hospitalization were set. From January 2000 on, "Hermanos Ameijeiras" hospital replaced the discharge form by the Discharge Report and included it in the automation project of the medical history department. After eight years of Discharge Report implementation with two objectives: elimination of documents from the medical histories and creation of a basic register to get quality information for decision-making, the evaluation presented in this paper yielded good results.

Este trabalho tem por objetivo estudar uma rede composta por 175 hospitais filiados ao Programa CQH - Compromisso com a Qualidade Hospitalar. O interesse em estudar esta rede de hospitais deve-se não só ao fato desta ser uma rede de serviços relativamente pouco estudada na literatura acadêmica, mas, especialmente, pela diversidade de atores a ela filiados, já que agrega 139 hospitais gerais e 36 especializados, de portes variados, tanto públicos, como privados, localizados no Estado de São Paulo (na RMSP e Interior), e em outros Estados. O objetivo geral desse trabalho é, a partir da análise desta rede de hospitais, verificar se sua existência e a cooperação entre seus filiados vêm facilitando a transferência de conhecimentos entre eles e, efetivamente, contribuindo para a melhoria da qualidade de seus serviços.
This paper aims to explore a network of 175 hospitals affiliated with the Program of CQH Commitment to Quality Hospital. The interest in studying this network of hospitals is due not only to the fact this is a network of services, relatively little researched in scholarly literature, but especially for the diversity of actors affiliated to it, since it adds 139 general and 36 specialized hospitals of various sizes, both public, and private, located in the State of Sao Paulo and in other states. The aim of this work is to analyze if the cooperation among the hospitals members is facilitating the transferof knowledge among them and, effectively, contributing to improve the quality of their services.
