ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the systemic stress responses of laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC). Methods Seventy patients with cholecystolithiasis were randomly divided into two groups: LC and open cholecystectomy(OC). Peripheral blood samples were obtained during the preoperative day and 1, 3, 5, 7 day after operation. Serum cytokines levels (TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6) and C-reactive protein(CRP) were measured. Results Changes of TNF-α and IL-1β before or after surgery in both groups showed no significant difference(P>0.05). Serum concentrations of IL-6 and CRP after surgery in both groups were significantly higher than those before surgery(P<0.05); but there were no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusions The systemic stress responses of LC have no significant difference comparing with OC.

ABSTRACT

[Objective] To explore the mechanism of fever in damp- heat syndrome. [Methods] Hyperlipemia rabbit models were established by feeding fatty - sweet diet. After the injection of endotoxin, the secretion of tumor necrosis factor and interleukin 1 was observed in rabbit model (Group A) and compared with normal rabbits (Group B) . [ Results] The peak of tumor necrosis factor and interleukin 1 secretion was decreased and the decline was slow in Group A. [ Conclusion ] The damp - heat syndrome in seasonal febrile disease is not merely a simple addition of damp and heat, but a result of retention and interaction of the two factors.

ABSTRACT

[Objective] To observe the effect of Jiedu Lifei Oral Liquid (JLOL, mainly composed of Flos Lonicerae,Fructus Forsythiae, Radix Scutellariae, Bulbus Frityllariae, etc. ) on the immune function in mice with viral pniumonia.[Methods] Sixty mice were randomized into 5 groups: normal group (A), model group (B), virazole group (C), small-dose JLOL group (D) and large-dose JLOL group (E). Mouse models of viral pheumonia were induced by infection ofinfluenza virus FM1. Effects of JLOL on serum levels of interleukin-1 (IL-1), interleukin-2 (IL-2), tumor necrosisfactor ? (TNF-?) and interferon ? (IFN-?) were observed. [Results] Compared with normal group, serum levels of IL-1 and (IFN-? were decreased and TNF-? increased (P 0.05 ) in model group. After treatment wth JLOL, serum levels of IL-2 and IFN-? were increased , TNF-? decreased (P 0.05). [ Conclusion] JLOL can increase the immune function by increasing the serumlevels of IL2 and IFN-? and can reduce the immune impairment by inhibiting the over production of TNF-?.
