ABSTRACT
Objectives: The latest edition of DSM-5 proposed the inclusion of the evaluation of the identity as a criteria common to severe personality disorders, this paper will attempt to rescue the doomed interest to this alleged incorporation, for which we will have a brief theoretical review of Identity Criterion of ego as a diagnostic priority item that allows the distinction between Neurotic Organization versus Borderline. This paper deals with the revision of the Criteria of the Self Identity such as a priority diagnosis element.
Objetivos: Para la última edición del DSM-5 se propuso la inclusión de la evaluación de la Identidad como criterio común a todos los Trastornos Severos de la Personalidad. Dicha propuesta no logró incorporarse como Criterio General, quedando toda esa información contenida en el área destinada a futuras investigaciones (sección III del DSM-5). En este trabajo procuraremos rescatar el interés abocado a esta pretendida incorporación, para lo cual realizaremos una breve revisión teórica del Criterio Identidad del Yo como elemento diagnóstico prioritario que permite la distinción entre Organización Neurótica versus Limítrofe.
