ABSTRACT

@#Herpes simplex virus(HSV)is a ubiquitous enveloped virus containing double-stranded DNA. HSV-1 infection can cause inflammation of the lips, conjunctivitis and encephalitis,HSV-2 infection can cause genital herpes at many ages, and both viruses can establish lifelong latent infection in the body. Membrane fusion triggered by the interaction of various HSV membrane proteins is an important way for viruses to enter host cells. This review introduced the conserved core fusion mechanism of HSV composed of four viral glycoproteins gD,gH,gL and gB by analyzing the structure of glycoproteins and their interaction modes. Since there is currently no HSV vaccine approved for marketing in the world,it is of great significance to study the mode of action of HSV and host cells for the development of vaccines

ABSTRACT

Tuberculosis as an infectious disease is still one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality throughout the world. The current diagnosis and treatment strategies cannot solve all clinical problems. Newer and more rapid tuberculosis diagnostic technologies with higher sensitivity, as well as more personalized host-oriented treatment strategies are still the important research directions in the future. Tuberculosis-related long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been one of the research hot spots in recent years. A series of lncRNA candidates with the potential diagnostic value for tuberculosis have been obtained using transcriptome sequencing and microarray technology. Meanwhile, lncRNAs have been also discovered to play an important role in antimicrobial defense mechanisms by regulating immune cell differentiation, autophagy/apoptosis, inflammatory responses and other biological processes. The current findings of lncRNAs as diagnostic candidates and their roles in tuberculosis were summarized in this review.

ABSTRACT

Marburg virus (MARV) is a member of the Filoviridae family and belongs to a non-segmented, single-strand and negative-sense RNA virus.Since the first discovery of virus in 1967, infections have broken out 14 times, causing the infection of 588 people and 482 deaths. The mortality is up to 82%.Marburg virus results in multiple organ infections , severe hemorrhagic fever and death .Currently, there are no available licensed vaccines or post-exposure treatment , but the vaccines have proved effective in experimental animals .This review briefly summarizes the structure , infection mechanism and the progress in vaccines of this virus .

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT:Norovirus infection in human and animals can cause acute viral gastroenteritis .With molecular biology ,cell culture and animal models of development ,the different groups of norovirus genome sequenced ,the virus capsid protein ex‐pressed in vitro in eukaryotic ,prokaryotic and plant systems ,and thus the characteristics of the virus with some new under‐standing and perspective .Recently ,an increasing number of studies were focused on the norovirus and related topics along with the research progress all around the world .Here we systematically expound the latest advances in norovirus research from dif‐ferent aspects ,such as genome structure and function ,cell culture ,tissue tropism ,epidemiology ,virus infection mechanism , detection methods and vaccine development .Furthermore ,different viewpoints for norovirus molecular evolution ,detection technology and transmission route will be discussed as well .
