ABSTRACT

This paper introduces the design and development of a light-weighted medical equipment management system in hospital based on structured information flow architecture, to collect and analyze data in medical equipment lifecycle management processes. It applies co-operative work flows both online and off-line to achieve high quality data collection, and to increase the efficiency for clinical personals and clinical engineers. This system manages to apply the UDI system, implements the intelligent access to medical equipments, uses data analysis to provide intelligent services. It will boost the quality control management and information construction synchronously.

ABSTRACT

Granger causality and Phase Slope Index (PSI) are recent approaches to measure how one signal depends on another, which gives an indication of information flow in complex systems. We show that the Granger causality and PSI mapping, voxel-by-voxel, for functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) resting state data set. Slow fluctuations (< 0.1 Hz) in fMRI signal have been used to map several consistent resting state networks in the brain. The results demonstrate that PSI influence directions among reference regions and gray matter voxels were more consistent with the relevant previous studies compared with Granger causality. The PSI approach proposed is effective, computationally efficient, and easy to interpret.

ABSTRACT

Hospital modernization is closely related to hospital information systems. The paper presents the notion of information flow and argues that the quality, speed, coverage, and efficiency of information flow in a hospital are the basic elements of its development.Hospital information systems provide systematic, primary and service support for various activities in the hospital and bring about changes in the essence of hospital culture. In their efforts to strengthen their information infrastructure, modernized hospitals should observe the principles of people first,cost-effectiveness balance and sustainable development and lay equal stress on cultivating specialized information personnel and improving the level of the entire staff in manipulating information and science and technology.
