ABSTRACT
Este informe expresa los resultados obtenidos y su análisis luego de la administración de Prueba de Pensamiento Crítico a los alumnos ingresantes a la Universidad de Buenos Aires durante el primer cuatrimestre de 2008. Se indagó a través de los ítems de la prueba dos Dimensiones del Pensamiento Crítico: Dimensión Sustantiva que comprende aquellas acciones que lleva a cabo la persona para dar cuenta de las razones y evidencias en las cuales sustenta su punto de vista; y Dimensión Dialógica que comprende aquellas acciones de la persona dirigidas hacia el análisis y/o la integración de puntos de vista divergentes, o en contraposición, con el propio punto de vista. Luego del procesamiento estadístico y análisis de Correspondencias Múltiples realizado, se encontró que los ingresantes pueden acordar mayormente con ítems de la Dimensión Sustantiva, mientras que aparece mayor dispersión entre los valores de la Dimensión Dialógica.
This report expresses the results and the analysis obtained after the administration of the Critical Thinking Test to the students from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, who studied the CBC during the irst quarter of 2008. It was inquire through the test items, two Dimensions of Critical Thinking: the Substantive Dimension that includes those actions carried out by the person to give an account of reasons and evidence which supports his point of view, and the Dialogic Dimension, which includes those actions of the person directed towards the analysis and / or the integration of different views, diver gents or in contraposition to his own. After the statistical processing and Multiple Correspondence analysis, it was found that the students can agree mostly with items on the Substantive Dimension, while it appears a greater dispersion between the values of the dialogic dimension.
ABSTRACT
El objetivo del presente trabajo es presentar una prueba llamada "Prueba de habilidades matemáticas" destinada a evaluar el desempeño de alumnos ingresantes a la universidad. Esta prueba pretende medir el nivel de habilidad Comprensión Conceptual, que se ha definido teniendo en cuenta las distintas taxonomías de objetivos educacionales. Se destaca la importancia de evaluar dicha habilidad por la complejidad cognitiva de los procesos psíquicos involucrados. La selección de los contenidos de la prueba se determinó desde una perspectiva experta y a partir del análisis crítico de la currícula de Matemática del ciclo medio de enseñanza. Se compone de treinta ítems de cuatro opciones sin distractor lejano. Se administró a 591 estudiantes del Ciclo Básico Común de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, al que se considera como grupo normativo. Se presentan la prueba, las claves y el rango percentilar. Se presentan los índices y coeficientes psicométricos habituales de la Teoría Clásica de Test.
The objective of this work is to present a test destined to evaluate the mathematical skills of students admitted to University. This test intends to measure the level of conceptual comprehension skill, which has been defined taking in to account the different educational objectives taxonomies. It is important to evaluate said skill due to the cognitive complexity of the psychical processes involved. Its contents were chosen by experts from a critical point of view taking into consideration the High School mathematics curriculum. It consists of thirty items with four options with far-off distractors. It was administered to 591 students from Buenos Aires University´s Common Basic Course, considered as a normative group. We present the test, the keys and the percentilar range together with the indexes and usual psychometric coefficients of the classical theory.
