ABSTRACT
Objective To observe the Influence of improved ICU checklist on instrument management. Methods Reformed and improved the instrument delivery project in ICU checklist. The transfer situation from November 2014 to April 2015 as the control group.The situation from May to October in 2015 as the observation group.Compared the two groups of items of the transfer situation,the condition of nurses′ mastery of instrument parameters,the number of adverse events associated with the instrument and the satisfaction degree of the doctor on nursing work. Results Experimental instrument handover items in succession rate, incidence of adverse events, the doctor to nurse job satisfaction were 25.3% (278/1098), 6 cases, 93% (27/29), the control group were 59.6% (655/1098), 20 cases, 81% (17/21), the difference was statistically significant (χ2 = 264.868, 7.629, 70.046, P < 0.05 or 0.01). Conclusions Improved ICU checklist on instrument management can effectively promote nurses′mastery of instrument parameters, reduce the occurrence of nursing adverse events, ensure patient safety, improve the doctors′ satisfaction on nursing job, and provide an important basis for nursing safety management department.

Objective To explore the application of Wagner sterilization case to packaging of special surgical instruments.Methods Totally 108 sets of special surgical instruments were randomly divided into a group with Wagner sterilization case (abbreviated as Wagner group) and a group with double-layer cotton cloth (abbreviated as cotton group).Statistical analyses were executed on packaging,qualification rate for sterilization,efficiency-cost ratio.Results The two groups had the qualification rates of pressuresteam sterilization being 100％,and 156 surgeons and operating nurses had the satisfaction degrees over double-layer cotton cloth and Wagner sterilization case being 70.51％ and 94.87％ respectively.Wagner sterilization case gained advantages over the cotton cloth in user satisfaction and cost,and the difference between the costs was significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion Wagner sterilization case can decrease the risks for hospital infection effectively.

ABSTRACT
Objective To analyze the effect of the application of PDCA circulation in the management of oral instruments.Methods From January to June 2015,the head nurses analyzed problems of instruments management according to the outpatient instrument management and requirement standards in the department of stomatology.They followed the PDCA circulation principle,put a continuous improvement,and compared the changes in the management of oral instruments before and after 4 months (from March to June and from July to October) Results After the implementation of the PDCA circulation,the abnormal loss of equipment,numbers of instrument loss and equipment failure rate had significantly decreased,while equipment utilization rate had significantly increased,with significant statistical differences (P ＜ 0.05) Conclusion The application of PDCA circulation in the management of oral instruments could help reduce the problems of abnormal waste,loss,failure and so on,resulting in improving the instrument utilization rate.
ABSTRACT
Objective To study the effect of quality ciecle on improving nurses application ablitiy in operating monitors. Methods Quality circle group was established in the department of general surgery and the circulation of plan-do-check-action was used in the groups for continuous quality control of ECG monitor application.The satisfaction of nurses with ECG monitor management and consuming time of ECG monitor installation were compared between pre-and post-enforcement of quality control circulation. Results After use of quality control circulation,the nurses were more satisfied with the maintenance of ECG monitoring and they knew better about their right storage and disposition and where the monitors were(all P<0.001).Conclusion The quality circle may effectively regulate ECG monitor management,improve applying proficiency of nurses and effectively improve work efficiency,so it is worth clinically applying.
ABSTRACT
Problems in managing laboratory instruments emerges along with the rapid development of laboratory medicine. Full-time instruments manager is positioned in laboratory department, who is in charge of maintaining all instruments. In this way, problems in managing laboratory instruments are solved, so the instruments in laboratory department can be managed in a standard, scientific, institutional and modern way.
