ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: This article discusses the escrevivência [live-writing] as a research methodology in Psychoanalysis, highlighting the political and epistemological subversions it entails for the revitalization of the subversive vocation of psychoanalysis in the approach to racism and sexism. We call attention to its insurgent character, related by Evaristo to the resumption of silenced voices and stories of black people. More than narcissistic writing, she proposes that the stories of each one of them embrace experiences and memories that refer to collectivity. We present some research practices that deal with the tension between the domain of knowledge and the real of experience using escrevivência as a means of approach.

ABSTRACT

The central objective of this work is to approach the relations between the environmental question and the structure of the modern-colonial world-sys-tem in its dynamics of political confrontation from the perspective of what we call an "insurgent reading" in the light of the Argentine thinker Enrique Dussel. To this end, our work is organized in three moments, where we expose the historical, social, and political unfoldings of the modern-colonial world-system for the environmental issue in the light of the thinker from Mendoza. In the second moment, we list the relations between the environmental question and the insurgencies in LA, indicating that the degradation of nature is the central point for insurgent reflections. In the third, as a conclusion, we stress the contributions of the philosopher from Mendoza on the existing links between the "concealment of the other", insurgency and the logic of environmental injustice

ABSTRACT

We investigated the perspectives of parents, health workers (HWs) and traditional medical practitioners (TMPs) on immunisation advocacy, knowledge, attitudes and immuni sation practice and ways of improving immunisation uptake in Borno State, North eastern Nigeria. A cross sectional study analysing quantitative data from the three stakeholders' categories. It was conducted across 18 local government areas of Borno State. A representative sample of 4288 stakeholders (n=1763 parents, n=1707 TMPs, and n=818 HWs aged 20 to 59years, had complete data. The sample has more males: 57.8% (Parents); 71.8% (TMPs) and 57.3% (HWs). The awareness of immunisation schedule among the stakeholders ranged from 87.2 to 93.4%. The study showed that 67.9% of the parent and 57.1% of the health workers had participated in immunisation except the TMPs (27.8%). Across the stake holders' categories, between 61.9 and 72.6% have children who had Adverse Event Following Immunisation (AEFI). The most common AEFI was fever. Safety concerns, preference for herbs and charm, culture and religions, and vaccination perception as a western culture were the major barriers to immunisation uptake. While 63.6 to 95.7% of respondents indicated that community leaders, religious and spiritual leaders and TMPs should be involved in immunisation advo cacy, 56.9 70.4% of them reported that community leaders should be involved in immunisation policy. Upscaling the critical stakeholders' involvement in advocacy, policy devel opment and implementation of immunization activities may improve acceptance, create demand and engender ownership in vulnerable communities of Borno State, Nigeria. AEFI could be detrimental to immunisation access and utilization. Consequently, health education by health workers needs strengthening to minimise vaccine hesitancy.

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT

Insurgente!

Insurgent! Gaucho Parade of Mad Pride: what is it, what is it? There is a special day to be celebrated; circulates around the city; involves users, workers, managers of health and social assistance, educational institutions, collectives and the population in general; it uses the body, the street, the art and the culture; problematizes madness and mental health; offer dialog spaces, conversation wheels and workshops; presents a multitude of colors, shapes, costumes and hats. Throughout the next few lines, this research will seek to bring reality and theory together, trying to establish more organic relations with the way of producing scientific knowledge about the field of collective mental health, taking as a possible bridge to this, the insurgency. The choice of the theme (insanity), the problem of research (insurgencies in Parade), the methodology (cartography), gives clues that the movement, in the composition with the street, offers a (re)discover with body, art and culture, as devices of production of resistance to a prescribed life.

ABSTRACT

Abstract: This is a reflection that, taking advantage of the commemorative occasion of the eighty years of Social Work in Brazil, does a retrospect of the performance of this profession, in the bourgeois order, starting with the capitalist countries that served as its birthplace. This tour, however, intended to highlight a common denominator in the globalized Social Work, which is its tendency to row, in any context, against the system dictates that engendered it. And with this trend - which is not unanimous, but historically persistent - it has been a fruitful "point off the curve" of the rendered professions to conservatism.

ABSTRACT

Considering its strategic geographical location and abundant natural resources, Nagaland is also one among the other Northeast states of India that holds for a promising economic development. However, economic development needs a series of change of institutions, structure of people‟s way of living, mod of thinking. There is historical evidence that the insurgency prone countries are economically and socially backward and their economic development is very low. This paper examined and knows how the insurgency had become an obstruction in the economic development in Nagaland. The conclusion is that to accelerate economic development in Nagaland, it is an urgent need to solve the Naga issue at the earliest and also a strict implementation of the ceasefire ground rules banning any form of taxation in all factions that is an agreement with the Government of India.

ABSTRACT

This article discusses the concepts of modernity and insurgency in order to develop the question of the causal relationship between a degree of modernity and the possibility of the emergence of the insurgency among the Colombian population. In this regard is to highlight how the construction of modernity emerges as a stage to shield the possibility of social marginalization , and this proposal is projected in a research framework to correlate with specific variables to conduct the empirical correlations established field of a hypothetical deductive mode. Thus a process of radical modernity and modernization is seen as the way to build peace in Colombia , to the extent that it contributes to justice , equity and forgiveness. A modernity from the construction of the subject , from the material conditions and especially since the construction of the national political debate , not in sight without structural changes in institutions.
