ABSTRACT

The aim was to identify the intellectual structure of the scientific production on COVID-19 in the area of Public, Environmental and Occupational Health. Author bibliographic-coupling analysis and author cocitation analysis were used from the scientific production in Web of Science Core Collection in the period December 2019 to August 2020. The units of analysis were the citing authors and cited authors. A total of 1065 records were retrieved under the established search criteria. The Author bibliographic-coupling analysis identified 12 clusters representing 106 major active authors who investigated the pandemic from different perspectives forming diverse research fronts. The author cocitation analysis obtained 96 most influential cited authors represented in five clusters. The WHO and CDC-USA were identified as very influential references, as well as authors from the People's Republic of China. In conclusion, it was possible to identify the intellectual structure of scientific production on COVID-19 in the area of Public, Environmental and Occupational Health with the use of bibliometric methods of author bibliographic-coupling and author cocitation analysis(AU)

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT. Research into cognitive reserve (CR) and dementia is advancing rapidly. This paper analyses the intellectual structure, emerging trends and relevant shifts in the development of available knowledge. Data collected from the Web-of-Science produced an expanded network of 564 articles and 12,504 citations in the 1998-2017 period. The co-citation network visualized was characterized by a scientometric review using CiteSpace. The results revealed that author Stern Y had the highest number of publications and citations. The network of journals, institutions and countries showed a central-peripheral structure with Neurology, Harvard University and the USA ranked first, respectively. While cognitive reserve remains the most prominent area of research in this field, studies related to functional ability, executive control, mortality data and reserve mechanisms have grown considerably. The identification of critical articles and the development of emerging trends highlights new insights in the area of research, better communicating key findings and facilitating the exploration of data.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the intellectual profile of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) combined with hypophrenia. Methods The study followed a matching design,37 children with ASD combined with hypophrenia and 40 with simply intelligence disability while paired based on gender and age were selected. The intellectual profile of the studied children was determined with the Wechsler intelligence scale for children-Chinese edition (WISC-R) scale. Results The full intelligence quotient (FIQ) of the ASD group and the control group were (54.70±8.26) and (54.60-±7.17),the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Verbal intelligence quotient(VIQ) and performance intelligence quotient(PIQ) of ASD group were(54.70±8.26) and (64.51±12.25) and the control group were(56.70±8.02) and(57.25±9.43).Children with ASD scored lower on VIQ and higher on PIQ.There was significant difference between the two groups(t=3.582,P<0.01;t=2.928,P<0.01).There was statistically significant difference on VIQ-PIQ of ASD group(t=8.14,P<0.01).The group with ASD had a profile characterized by a high score on Puzzle and Block Design with a low comprehension score. The score of FIQ,VIQ as well as information, arithmetic, comprehension,Picture arrangement were negatively correlated with ABC (r=-0.36,P<0.05;r=-0.40,P< 0.05;r=-0.41,P<0.05;r=-0.44,P<0.01;r=-0.44,P<0.01;r=-0.35,P<0.05).Conclusion Children with autism spectrum disorders with hypophrenia have special cognitive profile, which can be used to provide basis for making intervention strategies.

ABSTRACT

The intention in this article is to represent the ongoing intellectual structure of Psychology research (as domain of scientific knowledge) in Spain. To this end within the domain analysis the most suitable bibliometric method to reveal the intellectual structure of the discipline in Spain has been selected. This method is cocitation analysis, which is characterized by its objectivity, and in this case, with journals as the unit of measurement. Therefore the resulting representation permits us to group the journals according to the similarity of subject matter marked by the uses of Spanish researcher. This shows different research lines or fronts that shape the intellectual structure of Spanish Psychology.
