ABSTRACT
Este trabalho apresenta a adaptação linguística para português da Escala de Comportamento Interpessoal - versão reduzida, e a avaliação das suas características psicométricas, em uma amostra de adolescentes tardios (dos 16 aos 21 anos; N = 872). Foi encontrada uma organização interna em quatro dimensões e uma medida geral para os dois componentes avaliados: desconforto ao ser assertivo e frequência de prática de comportamento assertivo. Todas as medidas obtiveram valores aceitáveis de consistência interna e níveis moderados de validade por relação com outras variáveis, face à versão reduzida da Escala de Assertividade de Rathus. Algumas diferenças por sexo foram observadas. Este instrumento mostrou-se útil para ser empregado na avaliação e investigação em psicologia. (AU)
This work presents the Portuguese linguistic adaptation of the short version of the Scale for Interpersonal Behavior and the evaluation of its psychometric characteristics using a sample of late adolescents (aged 16 to 21 years; N = 872). An internal organization of four dimensions was found along with a general measure for the two components under evaluation: discomfort while being assertive and frequency of practicing assertive behavior. All measures obtained acceptable internal consistency values and moderate levels of validity based on the relation to other variables, namely the short version of Rathus Assertiveness Scale. Some sex differences were observed. The instrument showed to be useful to be employed for evaluation and research in psychology. (AU)

O presente estudo objetivou verificar a relação entre psicopatia e a manifestação de comportamentos interpessoais em 23 detentos do regime fechado de um presídio da região metropolitana de Porto Alegre-RS. A escala Hare (PCL-R), utilizada para o diagnóstico de psicopatia, e a Medida Interpessoal de Psicopatia (IM-P), utilizada para mensuração dos comportamentos interpessoais manifestados pelo participante na interação com o entrevistador, foram aplicadas de forma simultânea por avaliadores independentes. Os resultados evidenciaram correlação estatisticamente significativa entre os escores totais do PCL-R, da IM-P e correlação dos escores totais da IM-P com o fator 1 do PCL-R e ausência de correlação significativa com o fator 2, indicando que a IM-P pode ser considerada um instrumento auxiliar para a avaliação da psicopatia.
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between psychopathy and the manifestation of interpersonal behaviors in 23 detainees, in a metropolitan area prison. The Hare PCL-R, which is used for the diagnosis of psychopathy, and the Interpersonal Measure of Psychopathy (IM-P), which is used for the measurement of interpersonal behavior expressed by participants in the interaction with the interviewer, were applied simultaneously by independent evaluators. The results showed statistically significant correlations between the total scores of the PCL-R and the IM-P, between the total scores of the IM-P and the factor 1 of the PCL-R, and a non-significant correlation with factor 2, indicating that the IM-P may be considered an auxiliary instrument for psychopathy assessment.
El presente estudio objetivó verificar la relación entre psicopatía y manifestación de comportamientos interpersonales en 23 detenidos en régimen cerrado en un presidio en región metropolitana. La Escala Hare (PCL-R), utilizada para el diagnóstico de psicopatía, y la Medida Interpersonal de Psicopatía (IM-P), utilizada para mensurar comportamientos interpersonales manifestados por el participante en la interacción con el entrevistador, fueron aplicadas simultáneamente por evaluadores independientes. PURPOSE: This study was conducted to develop and test the hypothetical model which explains smoking cessation behavior was established based on the Triandis' interpersonal behavior theory. METHOD: The data were collected from the 400 university student smokers enrolled in the universities located in Seoul and Kyung-In province. The study was analyzed by path analysis with LIESREL 8 program. RESULTS: All of the fit statistics, except the Chi-square value, it showed the hypothetical model was well fitted to the data. Benefit, affect, and social influences related to smoking cessation behavior had significant direct effect on intention to smoking cessation as shown in the study of the hypothetical model. Perceived barrier and the physiologic arousal related to smoking cessation had significant direct effects on performing smoking cessation behavior, whereas numbers of previous attempts to quit smoking and intention to smoking cessation did not.
