ABSTRACT

Objective To compare the difference between traditional model teaching method and the system of internal circulation system with high simulation of the teaching method of the teaching method of the arm of the arm of the intravenous infusion in children. Methods The research objects were taken as the research object, and the model of the arm of the 2013 students in Kunming college was taken as the research object, and the traditional model was the control group. The difference between the two groups were compared between the 100 groups. Results Compared with the control group, the study group's practice skill score (87.8 ± 6.9) points was higher than that in the control group (78.5 ± 7.4) (P <0.05);the teaching cost (2.64 ± 0.4 yuan) was higher than that in the control group (12.89 ± 0.6 yuan) (P <0.05);the success rate of puncture in the study group 82.8% was higher than that in the control group (62.3%) (P <0.05) Conclusion The internal circulation system of high simulation of pediatric intravenous infusion arm model teaching method in basic nursing practice teaching can improve the teaching effect, the students teaching goal, and mobilize the enthusiasm of students learning.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the safety problems of elderly patients'intravenous transfusion and im-prove transfusion safety .Methods PDA technology was introduced to optimize the work flow of transfusion room and to keep improving transfusion work which would benefit elderly patients 'transfusion safety .Results After applying PDA to optimize workflow , the numbers of faulty events of intravenous transfusion decreased , and there is statistically significant difference comparing to pre -PDA period (p<0.05).Patients'waiting time has been shortened and there is statistically significant difference comparing to pre -PDA period (p<0.01).Patients'satisfaction rate increased. Conclusion The application of PDA equipments effectively improves the working speed of transfusion room , and the workflow optimization method guarantees the safety of elderly patients'intravenous transfusion safety and improves pa-tients'satisfaction rate .

ABSTRACT

Objective To comprehend the application of intravenous transfusion instrument in grade three hospitals of GuangZhou, and promote the use of trochar. Methods Using the questionnaire survey,we investigated the application of intravenous transfusion instrument in 12 grade three hospitals within 24 hours on October 10th to 11th in 2012,and then collected all data for analysis. All personnel participated in the investigation were given training to ensure the accuracy of the data collection. Results 9 732 patients needed to receive intravenous therapy, among whom 3 866 patients chose scalp acupuncture and 4 195 patients chose vein detained needle. We divided all the patients who had scalp needle and vein detained needle by age.The utilization of vein detained needle was higher than scalp acupuncture in the patients of <19 years old and >70 years old,but the utilization of scalp acupuncture was higher than vein detained needle in the patients of 19~70 years old.The difference of choosing intravenous transfusion instrument among different age groups had statistical significance. Conclusions Patients of 19~70 years old are in young and maturity phase, middle age,old age.The compliance of them is lower than other patients. They think the vein detained needle influence their daily activities and individual image, and also worry about infection. So they do not actively use vein detained needle, except when having poor situation in peripheral venous.Nurses are lack of health education, and fail to allow patients actively choose vein detained needle.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effects of the routine needle-withdrawing method and improved needle-withdrawing method? Methods One hundred patients undergoing intravenous transfusion were randomized into the control group and the improvement group (255 times of transfusion ), with 50 cases in each group: the former was treated with routine needle-withdrawing method and the latter with the improved method? Complications after needle-withdruing were compared between the two groups? Result The rates of pains, subcutaneous bleeding or bleeding at the puncture points in the improvement group were all significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0?001)? Conclusion The improved needle-withdrawing method is effective in reducing the rate of post-withdrawal complications and improve the safety of intravenous transfusion?

ABSTRACT

Objective To probe into the influencing factors of selecting the intravenous vascular access device for tumor patients undergoing intravenous therapy? Methods With convenience sampling,376 tumor patients in oncology department from 3 hospitals of class A hospitals in Guangzhou were selected for the survey including such 6 categories with 41 items as general data, patient’s willingness, punctured blood vessels, use of vascular access and clinical conditions? Results In 124 patients, peripheral venous catheter was used (33?0%)? Central venous catheter was used in 252 patients (67?0%),Multiple linear regression analysis showed that way for paying the expense, vascular conditions for venous punctuation, phased diagnosis, decision of the doctors, and prospected duration for detaining catheter significant influencing factors? Conclusions The state should raise their medical allowances for those with lower incomes? The administrative should enhance the training to doctors and nurses at grass levels, promote the communication between medical workers and patients and improve their recognition of transfusion devices so that they can make a right choice?

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of continuous quality improvement on venous transfusion exosmosis in elderly patients. Methods Through the investigation into venous transfusion exosmosis in 160 elderly patients, the causes for exosmosis were identified, followed by regulating and enforcing improvement measures and assessing the effect. Results The incidence of venous transfusion exosmosis in elderly patients was reduced from 6.40%to 2.57%and the satisfaction of patients improved from 90.00%to 97.50%.Conclusion The continuous quality improvement may effectively reduce the incidence of venous transfusion exosmosis and improve patients’satisfaction.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the asepsis security of the interior cover of polypropylene plastic dropping bottle. Methods The whole samples were divided randomly into two groups, each group included 42 polypropylene plastic dropping bottles,Samples of the control group were collected from the interior covers of dropping bottles wiping with sterile normal saline cotton swabs.Samples of the experimental group were also collected from the interior covers wiping with sterile normal saline cotton swabs aher disinfected by 0.5%iodophors and 75%alcohol respectively. All samples were inoculated on the aseptic plain agar nutrition flat plate.then incubated in 37℃ incubaton to observe the growth of bacteria. Results There Was statistical significance between the two groups in the growth of bacteria,χ2=46.791,P<0.01.Conclusions The interior covers of polypropylene plastic dropping bottle should be disinfected strictly before they are used in clinic.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To probe into the status quo and the tendency of the application of intravenous infusions. METHODS: Data on the application of intravenous infusions in one of the tertiary Grade A comprehensive hospital in 1996, 1999, 2002 and 2004 were analyzed statistically. RESULTS: The variety of infusion, the total quantity and the total amount of money of infusions increased year by year, the total consumption sum of infusions accounted for 10% of that of the whole year drugs; the majority of which were the consumption of nutritional and dielectric medicines, of which, glucose and sodium chloride injections accounted for 74% of the total; the infusion of treatment type increased fast, much as in cases of anti - infec-tives; the drug expense for each bottle of infusion increased year by year, the amount of money involved in infusion drugs accounted for 60% of the total year round drug consumption sum. CONCLUSION: There is an upward trend in both the quantity and consumption sum of infusions.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for rational and safe use of drugs by intravenous infusion.METHODS:Analyses were made from aspects of compatible concentration, choice of menstruum, compatibility of drugs, the infusion speed, disposal of photosensitive drugs, control of particle of the infusion etc.RESULTS & CONCLUSION:There are some problems lie in the use of drugs by intravenous infusion, but there are prewarnings for some of the mistakes and the adverse drug reactions(ADRs).It is necessary to strengthen monitoring on drug use so as to minimize the incidences of mistakes and the related ADRs in the intravenous administration.
