ABSTRACT

Objective To study the effect and adverse reaction of lactulose oral solution on the treatment of postpartum constipation. Methods A total of 120 patients with postpartum constipation were randomly divided into treatment group (n=61) and control group (n=59).The treatment group received 15 mL lactulose oral solution, twice a day.The control group received wheat cellulose particles 3.5 g,twice a day. After the improvement of symptoms, the patient''s medication frequency was changed to 1 time a day,the course of treatment was 2 weeks long. The curative effect(including before treatment, period during the treatment, and the first week after finish the whole treatment) and the recurrence of constipation after treatment were observed. Results The frequency of defecation per week in the treatment group was(3.83±1.61)times,that in the control group was(3.09±1.53)times at the first week after treatment(P0.05) after follow-up to 60 d.The degree of drug acceptance in two groups was 100.00% and 76.27% respectively(P<0.01).There was no obvious adverse reaction in both two groups. Conclusion The effect of lactulose oral solution on the treatment of postpartum constipation is definite and with low recurrence rate.Lactulose oral solution has a good taste, easily to be taken and to be accepted,it is worthy of clinical application.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the efficacy in combination with Hemp seed pill and lactulose oral solution for treating cancer pafients with constipation induced by morphine-type drugs. Methods 62 Cancer patients with constipation induced by morphine-type drugs diagnosed by pathology or cytology were collected from January 2013 to July 2016 in Suzhou BenQ hospital for this study. The patients in study group received both Hemp seed pill and lactulose oral solution, and patients in control group received lactulose oral solution only. After treatment for 3 weeks, some indexes were observed, including outcomes in the overall response rates, Karnofsky score, weight. Results The total effective rate of the study group was higher than the control group(77.4%vs 48.3%, P<0.05), the difference was statistically significant; After treatment,Karnofsky score and the percentage of patients gaining weight in study group were markedly higher than those in control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Hemp seed pill combined with lactulose oral solution has a good clinical efficacy in treating pafients with constipation induced by morphine-type drugs, and can improve patient's quality of life.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the Lactulose Oral Solution's influence in PPH postoperative complications and patients′ satisfactory rate for constipation and to find more intervention measures for reducing the complications. Methods A hundred and twenty cases of hemorrhoids with constipation were randomly divided into the two groups: the experimental group, the control group in 60 cases in each group. All patients’ postoperative bleeding, anal edema, stool impaction and satisfaction were observed and compared within 30 days. Results In the control group, the postoperative bleeding’ cases were of 23, anal edema’s were of 20 and stool impaction‘s were of 8. The incidence was 38.3%, 33.3% and 13.3% severally. The satisfactory patients were of 49 and the degree of satisfaction was of 81.7%. In the experimental group, the postoperative bleeding’ cases were of 12, anal edema’s were of 8 and stool impaction's was of 1. The incidence was 20%, 13.3% and 1.7% respectively. The cases who were satisfactory were of 58 and the degree of satisfaction was 96.7%. The postoperative bleeding , anal edema , stool impaction and satisfaction were different statistically in the two groups above (P < 0.05). Conclusion It can reduce PPH postoperative complications and increase patients′satisfaction by using Lactulose Oral Solution in patients with constipation and it will have a certain clinical value if these patients take this oral solution routinely.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in treating Oxycodone hydrochloride-induced constipation in cancer pain patients.Method Sixty cancer pain patients with Oxycodone hydrochloride-induced constipation were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was intervened by acupuncture, while the control group was by oral administration of lactulose oral solution. The therapeutic efficacies were compared after 2-week treatment, and the quality of life was evaluated before and after treatment.Result The total effective rate was 90.0% in the treatment group versus 73.3% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The Karnofsky Performance Status (KPS) score was significantly changed in the treatment group after intervention (P<0.05). There was a significant difference in comparing the KPS score between the two groups after treatment (P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture can produce a significant efficacy in treating Oxycodone hydrochloride-induced constipation, and also improve the patients’ quality of life.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the effect of lactulose oral solution in the treatment of patients with chronic functional constipation and its influence on the level of MTL and NO.Methods 54 cases of patients were selected with primary glaucoma who were treated in our hospital from June 2013 to October 2014 as research objective, and they were randomly divided into research group(29 cases)and control group(25 cases)according to the number table method. All of the patients were given treatment as diet adjusting, defecating exercise and so on.The research group got extra treatment as taking lactulose oral solution 10 g,2 to 3 times per day,for 6 weeks. Results MTL in the research group before treatment was 203.71ng/mL,and it was 371.03ng/mL after treatment for 6 weeks, there was statistically significance on difference of MTL levels between before treatment and after treatment(P <0.05).NO in the research group before treatment was 120.52ng/mL,andit was 69.01ng/mL after treatment for 6 weeks, there was statistically significance on difference of NO levels between before treatment and after treatment(P <0.05).MTL in the control group before treatment was 206.21ng/mL,which was 279ng/mL after treatment for 6 weeks, there was statistically significance on difference of MTL levels between before treatment and after treatment(P <0.05).NO in the control group before treatment was 123.92ng/mL,which was 98.75ng/mL after treatment for 6 weeks, there was statistically significance on difference of NO levels between before treatment and after treatment(P <0.05 ).MTL levels in the research group after treatment was higher than that in the control group when NO levels was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusion Lactulose can improve the secretion of gastrointestinal hormones in plasma such as promoting the secretion of MTL and reducing the synthesis of NO.

ABSTRACT

Objectives To study the effect of Lactulose oral solution combined with polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder on the intestinal cleanness. Methods One hundred and twenty patients undergoing electronic colonoscopy were divided into the experiment group and the control group,60 cases in each group. The experiment group orally took Lactulose oral solution and polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder 1d before the check, while the control group polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder 1d before the check. The two groups were compared in terms of intestinal cleanness and adverse reactions. Results The experiment group was significantly better than the control group in intestinal cleanness(P>0.05)and there were no significant difference has in adverse reactions(P>0.05).Conclusion The combined use of polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder and Lactulose Oral Solution may improve the intestinal cleanness and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
