ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the application of analogical thinking combined with situational teaching method to create a happy learning situation in ophthalmic nursing practice teaching. Methods:A total of 90 nursing students who had practice in Department of Ophthalmology, Xijing Hospital, Air Force Medical University, from October 2020 to January 2022 were selected as the research objects. According to different teaching methods, they were divided into control group and observation group. The control group ( n=45) adopted conventional teaching, while the observation group ( n=45) adopted analogical thinking combined with situational teaching method. The two groups of nursing students were evaluated by comprehensive examination results, teaching effect questionnaire and students' overall satisfaction with their teachers. SPSS 22.0 was used for t-test and Chi-square test. Results:The test scores of theoretical knowledge [(85.39±1.57) vs. (84.41±1.34)] and nursing skills [(87.52±0.04) vs. (82.64±0.05)] of observation group were both higher than those of control group. In the observation group, the students' awareness of medication safety, professional interest and independent learning, cooperation and organization ability, independent thinking and independent learning ability, the purpose of multi-disciplinary knowledge integration, information and knowledge range improvement, clinical thinking communication ability enhancement, flexible application of theoretical knowledge, practical operation ability enhancement, and the cultivation of innovation consciousness were all improved. And all the scores were better than those of the control group. The satisfaction of teachers in the observation group on students' learning attitude, language expression, calling communication ability and independent problem-solving ability was higher than that in the control group ( P < 0.05). Conclusion:The combination of analogical thinking and the situational teaching method to create a happy learning situation can improve the average scores of nursing students and nursing skills, and significantly improve the satisfaction of students to the teachers.

ABSTRACT

The study about sports coaching, although scarce in Brazil, has been showing a wide development in recent years. Studies were conducted mainly in the context of performance, however, none of these addressed the development of Brazilian Olympic medalist coaches. This study aimed at analyzing the lifelong learning situations of Brazilian Olympic medalists coaches in order to understand which of these enabled coaches to build and develop the knowledge needed to effectively engage their professional practice. A qualitative descriptive design of multiple case studies was used. The study participants were intentionally selected according to the following criteria: Brazilian medalists coaches at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games; more than ten years of experience as a sports coach; willingness to participate in the study. Five Brazilian coaches were accepted as being part of the study, being three individual sports coaches and two collective sports coaches. The data were collected from the application of the Timeline and semi-structured interview. The analysis of the data was carried out from the precepts of the Content Analysis. The results informed the use of a variety of mediated, unmediated and internal learning situations. Thus, they enabled the identification of a formation and development panorama of the Brazilian Olympic medalists trainers, which are: a) they have experience as athletes in the modalities that act; b) practice as coaches in other contexts of practice; c) are trained in Physical Education; d) attended specialized short courses; e) carry out actions of deliberate reflexive practice....(AU)

ABSTRACT

With the arrival of education informatization, the online elective courses have become an important means of teaching at universities. Problems, such as insufficient attentions from universities and low learning enthusiasm of students, are quite common. Based on the curriculum setting of online courses at a university, we performed a study to identify root causes of those common problems. Students' gender, major, current academic year and their school-year were collected and analyzed to detect any potential differences in the time spent in studying and course grades. With the results in hands, we propose that universities should promote online elective courses, guide students to scientifically plan study time, stimulate students' initiatives for study, shape out students' self-learning and life-long learning abilities, so as to fulfil the destiny of the online elective courses as a powerful complement to traditional teaching.

Objective To investigate the common etiologies, sports and learning situation of children in Nantong with short stature, and discuss the relationship between the two. Methods Did a retrospective analysis of 108 cases of children with short stature in Nantong University′s affiliated hospital since January 2012. Through detailed past illnesses, physical examination, laboratory tests, diagnose short stature and clarify the cause. Did a questionnaire to these children with short stature about sports and learning situation. Use statistical methods like multivariate Logis-tic regression analysis and link analysis to analyze sports and learning situation of children in Nantong with short sta-ture and find the relation with the etiology. According to the principle of group matching, the control group elected representative of 108 children. Results In 108 cases, 61 cases were because of growth hormone deficiency (GHD), accounting for 56. 5% ; 47 cases were because of non-growth hormone deficiency (NGHD), accounting for 43. 5% . Logistic regression analysis showed that participation in physical exercise was a protective factor. Rest-less anxiety and inattention were as risk factors, and these make a lot(P 0. 05). Conclusion Various types of sports (basketball, badminton, running, cycling) are protective factors for children of short stature. Restless anxiety and inattention are risk factors for children with short stature. Whether there is growth hormone deficiency or not, children with short stature should increase the right exercise as much as possible and avoid or reduce exposure to these risk factors.
