ABSTRACT

Graduate education emphasizes the development of students’ scientific research andinnovation abilities. Literature reading and discussion (LRD) plays an active role in the development ofinnovative thinking and critical thinking for graduate students. However, in traditional, large molecularbiology classes, the effective implementation of large-scale, collective LRD presents a great challenge. Mosoteach is a cloud-based free app designed specifically for education with powerful human-computerinteraction and human-human interaction functions. In the present study, LRD was introduced into amolecular biology course for graduate students and was conducted via the Mosoteach app. The onlinediscussion board in the Mosoteach cloud class was restricted to enrolled students and was designated theprivate online discussion board (PODB). The PODB built a sense of community for students and was aneffective approach for organizing and facilitating discussion in large classes. Small-group learning in LRDwas helpful to understand the literature and foster collaboration and discussion. Overall, we demonstratedthat Mosoteach-based LRD was helpful in improving student learning outcomes. The relationship betweenstudent learning style and engagement, satisfaction and academic performance in cloud classes meritsfurther investigation.

ABSTRACT

Nobody leaves their birthplace for no reason and with no price. Any situation of displacement implies both loss and adversities. Art plays an essential role in promoting more solidarity, namely, a more supportive society. The mediation of literary narratives may encourage (and improve) multidisciplinary practices of Education, Culture, Health, and Psychoanalysis. Including cultural action in everyday life creates freedom and helps people shift their focus from difficult, extreme situations to better experiences. A secret, intimate pleasure that reminds us who we are. A pleasure that is inscribed on the memory of the encounter, in which the other request our presence. If this pleasure comes with art, it will remind us our poetics.

ABSTRACT

To explore an effective measure to cultivate the clinical research capability of professional degree of clinical medicine, graduate students are classified according to their specialties. The orthopedic and non-orthopedic students are given different objectives and subjects of literatures. The ranges and pub-lishing years of literatures are also limited by tutors. The collected literatures are discussed, and then they have to give a speech within a limited time which will be reviewed by professional tutors. Professional tutors will answer the questions during the discussion at a fixed time to cultivate the interdisciplinary scientific research ability of clinical professional degree postgraduates. We get several advances: the discussion has a great effect on the cultivation of clinical research thinking of clinical professional degree postgraduates. And it enables graduate students to connect theoretical knowledge with the current frontier theory quickly, narrow the research focus gradually and then form a clear research direction. The cross-disciplinary thinking of graduate students is inspired by the participation of other professional tutors. Regular literature reading and tutor reviewing may be an effective method to improve the clinical research ability of graduate students in clinical medicine in the current stage.
