ABSTRACT

@#ObjectiveTo compare the effects of modulated medium frequency low frequency current hydroelectric bath therapy and electromagnetic therapy on heel pain.Methods168 heel pain patients were randomly divided into group A (treated with modulated medium frequency low frequency current hydroelectric bath therapy) and group B (treated with electromagnetic therapy) with 84 cases in each group. The effect of two groups were observed and compared.ResultsThe cure rate and effective rate of the group A were 71.43% and 97.62% respectively, those of the group B were 54.76% and 84.52% respectively, and the number of average cure times of the group A was significantly less than that of the group B (P<0.01).ConclusionThe modulated medium frequency low frequency current hydroelectric bath therapy brings new ideas on clinical application and is a good method for treatment of heel pain.

ABSTRACT

@#ObjectiveTo observe effects of modulated medium frequency low frequency current hydroelectric bath therapy on sequela of ankle fracture.Methods32 sequela patients of ankle fracture were treated with ZM-C type intellectual faculties intermediate frequency therapeutics instrument. Modulated medium frequency square all wave,the frequency of carry wave was 4 KHz,and the frequency of modulated wave was 100 Hz. The water temperature was 40℃. 30 minutes was a time,12 times was a course. Before and after treatment,results were contrasted themselves.ResultsAfter treatment,32 patients all got satisfactory effects,the shorter of the course,the better of the effect.ConclusionThe modulated medium frequency low frequency current hydroelectric bath therapy is a simple,safe and better effect method for sequela of ankle fracture.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the usefulness of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) as a noninvasive method in recording the activities of the human brain as excited by low frequency current(LFC) stimulator. Methods The right common peroneal nerves of 6 healthy volunteers were stimulated with LFC (NMR-II stimulator). The activities of the brain were then recorded and evaluated during the scanning by the fMRI technique. Data obtained during the study were dealt with with the software SPM99. Results In both cerebral hemispheres, the area where the postcentral and superior temporal gyrus, inferior parietal lobule met were excited, and so were the operculum at both sides. Postcentral gyrus, superior parietal and paracentral lobule, and the precuneus in the left cerebral hemisphere, as well as the superior occipital gyrus and the superior parietal lobule in the right hemisphere,were involved as the excited areas. Conclusion fMRI is a useful tool for recording and evaluating the brain activities excited by LFC.

@#ObjectiveTo observe the effect of low frequency current hydroelectric bath therapy modulated by medium frequency on sequela of sprain of ankle. Methods46 patients with sequela of sprain of ankle were treated with ZM C intellectual faculties intermediate frequency therapeutics instrument. Medium frequency was modulated with full square wave. The frequency of carrying wave was 4KHz. The frequency of modulated wave was 100Hz. The depth of modulation was 80%. The water temperature was 40℃.ResultsAfter treatment, all patients got satisfactory effect and shorter treating course without adverse reactions appearing. Conclusions The low frequency current hydroelectric bath therapy modulated by medium frequency is a simple, safe and better treating method for sequela of sprain of ankle.
