ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of selective bronchial artery infusion chemotherapy for central squamous cell carcinoma of the lung. Methods 93 cases of central lung squamous cell carcinoma patients who were treated in our hospital from February 2015 to February 2017 were enrolled in the study. They were divided into the observation group (n =45) and the control group (n =48) according to the patients'final treatment. The observation group was treated with bronchial artery perfusion chemotherapy, and the control group was treated with systemic venous chemotherapy. The short-term effect and the improvement of lung function in the two groups were observed, and the prognosis of the patients was followed up.Results The short-term effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group (P <0.05),and the total effective rate of the observation group was 95.56%;The forced vital capacity (FVC)and forced expiratory volume in the first second (FEV,) of the observation group were (75.39 ± 6.88)%and (78.19 ± 7.79)%,respectively,which were significantly higher than those in the control group (P <0.05).The reoperation ratio of the observation group was 44.44% after chemotherapy, which was significantly higher than that of the control group, with statistically significant difference (P < 0.05).The median total survival time of the observation group was 17 months, which was significantly higher than that of the control group, with statistically significant difference (P < 0.05).The incidence of adverse reaction in the observation group was 6.67%,which was significantly lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference (P < 0.05).Conclusions Selective bronchial artery infusion chemotherapy for central lung cancer is effective and worthy of clinical application.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate thymidylate synthase on pemetrexed treatment of lung adenocarcinoma effect relationship. Methods The 60 patients with lung adenocarcinoma in our hospital from January 2014 to January 2016 were selected as the research subjects. They were treated with pemetrexed.According to the clinical efficacy, they were divided into the effective group (n =27) and ineffective group (n =33) after 3 courses of treatment. The levels of thymidylate synthase (thymidylate synthase,TS),TS mRNA expression, and the expression of TS protein in the tumor tissues of two groups were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunoadsorbent assay (ELISA),fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR),and immunohistochemistry. The relationship between TS level and pemetrexed in the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma was investigated. Results The level of ST in peripheral blood of the effective group was significantly lower than ineffective group. The objective response rate and protein of ST gene low expression were significantly higher than high expression of ST.Conclusions The level of thymidylate synthase in patients with adenocarcinoma of the lung is related to the therapeutic effect of pemetrexed in the treatment of adenocarcinoma of the lung.It can be used as a molecular marker to evaluate the clinical efficacy of pemetrexed in the treatment of patients with lung adenocarcinoma.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effect of theanine in vitro and in vivo, including suppression of lung tumor growth, tumor an-giogenesis and promotion of apoptosis. Methods The inhibitory effects of theanie on lung cancer A549 cells were analyzed by MTT assays. The cell cycle and the apeptotic percentage of A549 cells were detected by FCM. The angiogenesis effect of theanine was observed with CAM model. The inhibitory effects of theanine were observed with lung carcinoma nude mice model, and the immunohistochemic technique was used to investigate the expression of CD34 and VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor). Results Treatment of A549 cells with VEGF re-sulted in significant dose-dependent and time-dependent inhibition. FCM detection indicated that administration of EGCG resulted in an in-crease in cells in the S phase of the cell cycle and a typical apoptosis peak before the GI phase with an apoptosis rate of 15.9%. There was a significant difference in tumor volume and weight in theanine group compared with control group after two-week treatment, and the tumor in-hibition rate was 43.6%. There was no significant difference in expression of VEGF in tumor tissue according to tumor MVD marked by CD34 between the theanie group and control group. Thus, theanine could obviously inhibit tumor angiogenesis. Conclusion VEGF can ar-rest lung tumor growth via the promotion of tumor cell apoptosis and the inhibition of tumor angiogenesis.
