ABSTRACT
The problems, such as non-full utilization of media, low interesting and participation of users, in read-ing extension service provided by the WeChat public platform in Library of China Medical University were summa-rized by literature analysis and comparative analysis with the reading extension service provided by the WeChat plat-form in other academic libraries as examples, and suggestions were proposed for the application WeChat public plat-form in future reading extension service.
ABSTRACT
After the digital resources in 8 famous domestic medical academic libraries were investigated, the status quo and characteristics of digital resources development and the use of different social networking tools in these libraries were analyzed, the crowd-sourcing concept was used to guide the users to participate in the development of digital resources using the social networking tools, and a platform for users participating in information organization and integration was constructed by making use of mobile communication/WeChat.

Libraries are faced with the crisis of being marginalized in the era of network.Medical academic library should thus adapt to the changing information behaviors of users in study , teaching and scientific research and pro-vide their service according to the user needs-orientedsubject librarian service model , mobile library service model, and sharing commons service model.The service provided in the top 18 medical academic libraries in China according to the 3 models was analyzed, which showed their low popularization rate, insufficient depth and repeti-tion.Measures that should be taken for the solution of such problems were put forward.

After an analysis of the urgent need of systematic medical information service in village and township hospitals and doctors and the advantageous conditions for medical academic libraries to provide information service for them, its imple-mentation strategies were proposed and how to promote the construction of libraries and the development of medical cause in villages and townships by providing information service in countryside were pointed out.
