ABSTRACT

By investigating the frequently appeared statistical mistakes in the thesis of medical postgraduates, and analyzing their major causes,we suggest two ways to clear these problems. One way is to encourage the authors to master the theory and application of statistics, and to use standard methods of statistical description and inference in their medical writing through extensive education and training. The other way is to introduce statisticians into the editing procedure to improve the scientific quality of published medical thesis.
