ABSTRACT

The stability of volatile oil quality of traditional Chinese medicine is an important prerequisite for its clinical efficacy and safety. The quality of volatile oil of traditional Chinese medicine is affected by many factors, such as location, producing area, harvest time, extraction process, processing process and so on, which leads to the difference of oil yield or chemical composition of volatile oil, affects the uniformity of volatile oil quality of traditional Chinese medicine, and then affects the curative effect of volatile oil. Therefore, how to control the quality of volatile oil is the key to the role of volatile oil in traditional Chinese medicine. In this paper, the effects of different parts of medicinal materials, different producing areas and different harvest periods on the quality of volatile oil of traditional Chinese medicine were analyzed, and the 2015 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia containing volatile oil was classified according to medicinal parts, and the differences of volatile oil components of traditional Chinese medicine were discussed in order to provide reference for the development of volatile oil of traditional Chinese medicine and the establishment of quality standard of volatile oil of traditional Chinese medicine.

ABSTRACT

To determine the content of esculetin in the different parts of Viola philippica from various habitats by HPLC to provide the basis for the reasonable application and the quality assessment of the herb. Methods:The content of esculetin in roots, leaf stems and leaves of Viola philippica was determined by HPLC, and the proportion of various parts in the total grass was calculated, and the content of esculetin in Viola philippica from different habitats was compared. Results:The index ingredient esculetin was de-tected out in the roots, leaf stems and leaves, the content in leaf blades was the highest followed by leaf stalks, and that in root was the lowest. There were notable differences in the quality of Viola philippica from different habitats. Conclusion:The content of esculetin in the leaves of Viola philippica is the highest proportion, and that in Viola philippica from Hebei is the higher. The difference among the other habitats is relatively small. The results can provide reference for the harvest and reasonable application of Viola philippica.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo observe the effect of estrogenic-like effects ofWujia-Shenghua capsule and effective medication site.MethodsThrough D-101 macroporous resin column methods,Wujia-Shenghua capsule with 60% ethanol extraction was separated for water elution part, 20% ethanol elution part, 40% ethanol elution part, 60% ethanol elution part. Then each elution part was respectively mixed into concentration of 10mg/ml,1mg/ml, 0.1mg/ml, 0.01 mg/ml and acted on the MCF-7 cell to have, MTT test and rate of PR calculation. Results Compared with the blank control group(100%), when the concentration was 0.1 mg/ml, water elution part, 20% ethanol elution part and 60% ethanol elution part(98.10%, 101.06%, 106.04%)had no effect on the proliferation of MCF-7 cells, there was not statistically significant(P>0.05), while the 40% ethanol elution part(108.22%)can promote the proliferation of MCF-7 cells, there was a statistically significant(P<0.05). When the concentration was 1 mg/ml, 20%, 40% and 60% ethanol elution part(111.72%, 122.48%, 115.35%)can distinctly promote the proliferation of MCF-7 cells, there was a significant difference between four groups(P<0.01).ConclusionThe 40% ethanol elution part ofWujia-shenghua capsule has the strongest estrogen activity on plant.
