ABSTRACT

Milia are small, white, benign keratinous cysts that are frequently encountered. Multiple eruptive milia are rare, and are characterized by the development of milia that are more extensive in number and distribution than would be expected in primary milia. We report a case of a 19-year-old girl with tiny, white papules in her axillae and on her abdomen with a review of the relevant literature.

ABSTRACT

Milia are common benign keratinous cysts that occur most commonly on the face, particularly on the eyelids and cheeks. Primary milia arise spontaneously, and secondary milia may arise after clearing of inflammatory skin diseases and trauma. Multiple eruptive milia is a rare condition in which crops of milia develop suddenly on the face and upper trunk. Histologically, milia show cysts lined by stratified squamous epithelium containing laminated layers of keratin. We report a case of multiple eruptive milia on both external ears of 54-year-old woman.

ABSTRACT

Multiple eruptive milia is a rare condition in which crops of milia develop suddenly on the face and upper trunk. We report a case of multiple eruptive milia in a 58-year-old woman, who presented with an acute onset of multiple white papules on the face, both posterior auricles and neck. We describe this case and reviewed the previous literatures.
