ABSTRACT

@#Objective To explore the effect of Naikan cognitive-music reminiscence therapy on coping style in female patients with chronic schizophrenia. Methods In May, 2020, 72 female patients with chronic schizophrenia from Beijing Huilongguan Hospital were assigned into control group (n = 48) and music group (n = 24) after trait matching. Both groups accepted routine medicine, while the control group accepted Naikan cognitive therapy, and the music group accepted Naikan cognitive therapy combined music reminiscence, for twelve weeks. They were blind assessed with Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire, Self-rating Depression Scale and Self-rating Anxiety Scale before and after intervention. Results There were five cases in the control group removed for erroneous response. The main effects of group were not significant for all the assessments (F < 0.567, P > 0.05). The main effect of time was significant for negative coping style score (F = 6.968, P = 0.01), and the interaction effects were significant for positive coping style score and Self-rating Depression Scale score (F > 4.227, P < 0.05).Conclusion Combining with music reminiscence, Naikan cognitive therapy may be advantageous for the coping style of female patients with chronic schizophrenia.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of Naikan cognitive therapy(NCT) for alcohol dependent patients. Methods 64 cases of alcohol-dependent patients were randomly assigned to the study group (32 cases) and the control group (32 cases). The study group was treated with NCT for successive 7 days on the basis of taking original drugs; and the control group was only given the original drug therapy. The obsessive compulsive drinking scale (OCDS),self-report symptom inventory(SCL-90),nurses observation scale for inpatient evaluation(NOSIE) were administered to all subjects at pre-and post-treatment.Results ①After the treatments, the scores of OCDS in study group (49.51 ± 1.63) were lower than that in control group(53.92 ± 1.82),and the statistical difference had the significance (P < 0.01).②After the treatments, the total scores and some factor scores of SCL-90 in study group were lower than in control group (t =-2.413,P =0.019 ; t =-2.033,P =0.047 ; t =-2.065,P =0.044 ; t =-2.038,0.046),and the difference was statistically significant.③After the treatments,in the study group, the scores of the total estimated factor and total positive factor(187.10 ± 18.80;78.51 ±12.22) were higher than in control group (175.51 ± 11.71 ; 68.22 ± 11.87),total negative factor score (15.55 ±9.46) were lower than in control group (20.51 ± 9.33),and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion NCT can effectively inhibit alcohol craving, and reduce the drinking wine relevant questions. It can help to improve psychological symptoms in patients with alcohol dependence, especially depression and anxious symptoms.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo explore the influence of clinical symptoms and applicability of discontiguous naikan cognitive therapy(DNCT) among convalescent schizophrenic patients.MethodsApplying DNCT,100 convalescent paranoid schizophrenic patients with convalescent clinical state were consecutively recruited. All the patients were randomly divided into DNCT group and control group and were pretreated with antipsychotic agent therapy,40 patients in DNCT group and 49 patients in control group entered the statistic analysis,11 lost.In DNCT group, the patients received DNCT for successive 28 days.In control group, the patients only received antipsychotic agent therapy.Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS),Nurses'Observation Scale for Inpatient Evaluation (NOSIE) were administered to all subjects pre- and post-treatment.ResultsAfter treatment,in the study group, total PANSS scales ( (54.00 ± 10.19 ) vs (45.05 ± 5.28 ),t =5.430,P < 0.01 ),the positive symptom item ((11.00±3.33) vs (9.53 ±1.85),t=3.670,P=0.01),negative symptoms item((12.15 ±4.38) vs (9.40± 2.15 ),t =4.371,P < 0.01 ),general psychopathology item ( (26.90 ± 5.66) vs (22.65 ± 3.07 ) 分,t =4.494,P<0.01 ) scored lower than before,The difference was statistically significant.PANSS study group after treatment, total scores( (45.05 ±5.28 ) vs (52.04 ± 10.36),t=-3.876 P<0.01 ),negative symptom item score( t =- 3.789,P < 0.01 ),composite item ( t =2.251,P =0.027 ),the general psychopathology item ( t =- 3.336,P =0.01 ),score significantly lower than the control group. After twelve weeks follow-up study,in the study group,PANSS total scores ( t =4.764,P < 0.01 ),item score of positive symptoms ( t =2.335,P =0.025 ),negative symptoms item score( t =3.083,P =0.004) ),genial psychopathology item score ( t =4.325,P < 0.01 ) was still significantly lower than before treatment, the difference was statistically significant. In study group, after treatment,NOSIE Scale total negative factors scores( t =3.083,P =0.004) were significantly lower than before, total positive factors( t =-2.446,P=0.019),the total estimated factor in the disease scores ( t =-4.730,P < 0.001 )were significantly higher than before treatment. After treatment,in the study group, negative factors ( t =-3.953,P=0.000) were significantly lower than the control group, twelve weeks follow-up,study group total negative factors of NOSIE scale score( t =2.126,P =0.040) was still lower than before treatment, the difference was statistically significant, total positive factor( t =- 2.054,P =0.047 ) still higher than before treatment, the difference was statistically significant.ConclusionDNCT can possibly improve part clinical symptoms of patients with convalescent schizophrenia to a certain extent, especially negative symptom, and the impact remained to the twelve weeks, but need to further prove the effect of naikan cognitive therapy.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore effects of Naikan cognitive therapy on improving clinical symptoms in patients with convalescent schizophrenia. Methods The 69 convalescent schizophrenic patients with convalescent clinical state were consecutively recruited. All the patients were divided into Naikan cognitive therapy ( NCT) group an control group at random and were pretreated with antipsychotic agent therapy. In NCT group, the patients received NCT for successive 7 days. In control group, the patients only received antipsychotic agent therapy. Pre-and post-treatment positive and negative syndrome scale( PANSS) , Nurses'observation scale for inpatient evaluation (NOSIE) were administered to all subjects. Results ① A significant decrease occurred in PANSS total score, negative symptom score, positive symptom score, compound scale score, general psychopathology score, reaction retardation score and paranoid score in NCT group ( t = 2. 672~7. 370, P < 0. 05). In the post-treatment, PANSS total score, negative symptom score, positive symptom score, compound scale score, reaction retardation score and thought disorder score were significantly lower in NCT group than those in control group ( t ' = 2. 696, P = 0. 009; t = 5. 186, P=0.000; t = 3.757, P = 0.001; t = 2.634,P = 0.011; t ' =2.376, P = 0.021). ②A significant decrease occurred in NOSIE total negative score( 10.43 ± 9. 24 vs 13. 87 ± 8. 03, t = 3. 463 , P = 0. 002) , irritation score(3. 13 ±0.43 vs8.53 ±4.98, t = 6. 139, P=0.000) and retardation score(1.07 ± 1.64 vs 2. 20 ±2.85, t = 2.067, P = 0.048) in NCT group. Conclusion NCT can possibly improve part clinical symptoms of patients with convalescent schizophrenia to a certain extent, especially negative symptom, but need to further prove the effect of NaiKan cognitive therapy.
