ABSTRACT

Objective To upgrade No.1 Military Medical Project database from Oracle 8.17 to Oracle 11g so as to solve the problems of server overloading and client terminal failing to connect to the server due to excessive concurrent databases. Methods Exp/Imp and Toad tools of the database were used to generate and modify the upgrade statements as well as to import and export database data,so that the inter-platform and-version database upgrade could be carried out.Results The database was upgraded and the system's operation speed was enhanced greatly.Conclusion The upgrade scheme has easy operation,short time consumed,zero data loss and high reliability,and thus is worthy promoting in medium-and small-scale hospitals.

Objective To solve the problems of hospital high-value consumables during purchase,warehouse-in and-out management,utilization,charging and etc.Methods High-value consumables management was improved based on No.1 Military Medical Project high-value consumables management system and bar code technology.Results Integrated management,whole-course supervision,safe utilization,convenient and accurate charging were realized for high-value consumables.Conclusion Bar code technology contributes to reducing high-value consumables inventory,decreasing hospital cash flow pressure,achieving high value consumables used safely and zero error valuation of financial accounting.It can become an effective management mode of hospital high-value consumables.

Objective To explore the migration of Windows operating system to Virtual Linux operation system to solve the problems faced by the main server of No.1 Military Medical Project HIS.Methods The migration was fulfilled with x86 hardware platform,open-source Linux operating system and virtualization technology to meet the performance and reliability requirements of No.1 Military Medical Project System.Results The migration was completed successfully to Virtual Linux system.Conclusion The migration scheme meets the requirements of HIS on performances,reliability,stability and safety,saves the cost for informatization,and is of great practical value.

ABSTRACT

To realize rapid inquiry of the dispensing results in prescription dispensing subsystem. SQL statement tracer was used to determine corresponding SQL statement, and the executive plan was analyzed to find the desired table. Proper indexes were established to enhance the efficiency of the inquiry statement. The optimization of SQL statements made the executive efficiency increased greatly without the need for hardware upgrade. The analysis on the executive plan of the dispensing inquiry statements and the indexes on corresponding tables increases the prescription dispensing inquiry speed while decrease the waiting time of the staff.

Objective To upgrade No.1 Military Medical Project from single operation to Oracle RAC to eliminate single failure of the operation system, protect medical data and lay a foundation for the following upgrade and deployment.Methods RAC software and hardware environment was constructed for database upgrade and deployment of Data Guard.Results The database was gifted with high availability and high performances, and database maintenance and upgrade could be carried out with the operation system less ceased than before.Conclusion The database is upgraded from a single-mode rigid architecture to a multi-mode elastic one, with the performances, safety and extendibility enhanced greatly.

Based on theArmy No.1high-cost consumables management system, using bar code technology, to realize the full closed tracking management of medical high-cost consumables. Results:Realized the unified control of the whole hospital medical high-cost consumables, timely and accurately mastered the material purchase, storage and usage, and to realize the object of the high-cost medical material management and safe usage. Conclusion:The scheme is feasible, and solve many problems, those are high-cost consumables management denominated in error, cost volatility and unseasonal financial processes and so on. Objective To explore the cause of repeated offline of files in the database of No.1 Military Project and find the method to solve the problem. Methods The abnormal offline of files in database is not by chance,and its document in oracle is not very clear. Using the knowledge from internet,the fault was repeatedly simulated on test machine and the source of the fault was found. Results Solving plans and countermeasures were put forward. Conclusion The database of the No.1 Military Medical Project is the core of military hospital work,so its importance is self-evident. The technical support of No. 1 Military Project is strengthened,the right maintenance direction of the database is pointed out as well as the right solution to deal with the problem.

Objective To explore the solution to the secure problem of EMR based upon No.1 Military Medical Project.Methods The existing EMR system provides medical records service and the EMR are stored and managed in ordinary or established file format in the database server.Based upon above database characters related to EMR and the requirement of EMR security,the MRBACKUP system was developed to resolve EMR backup,recovery and dump.Results The MRBACKUP system safeguarded the security of EMR in the lowest cost,the least system resources and the highest efficiency.Conclusion The new secure solution to EMR can better resolve the security problems in the widely-used EMR in hospitals.

Objective Due to redundant valuations and inaccurate quantities and specifications in processing temporary medical orders, expensive medicines, water and cream medications, program patches of electronic prescriptions included in the nurse work station were designed and developed. Methods Based on the software and hardware platforms of No.1 Military Medical Project, it was developed under Powerbuilder 9.0 without more tables and database expenses. Result Paperless prescription was realized. Conclusion The clinician's workload is reduced. Inaccurate patient expenses and drugs data are stopped.

ABSTRACT

Objective To dump and recover the expired data in No.1 Military Medical Project, avoiding the waste of large amount of storage space and improving the operation performance of hospital information system. Methods After clearing the backup table, the data from the original table backup was put into the backup table. The data was unloaded from the backup table to a file, and then the file was saved. The data in the original table was deleted, but it could be restored to the table when needed, and the corresponding data could be obtained through the application program. Results The storage space was enlarged after data dump. Conclusion The dump of the expired data can make data management more scientific and hospital information system run more smoothly.

Objective To study and establish the automatic resident prescription system and automatic dispensing system in Center Drug Store based on NO.1 Military Project. Methods According to the Prescription Administrative Policy (2007, Chinese Ministry of Health), automatic system was designed to link each drug store of different departments to the center drug store. Results It is proved that the design is appropriate according to the application of this system in many military hospitals. Conclusion The system not only gives a good administration of drug, but also decreases the work load and increase work efficiency of center drug store.

ABSTRACT

Objective To quickly pinpoint and correct errors in the application level in No.1 Military Medical Project. Methods LogMiner, a powerful tool provided by Oracle was used to mine and analyze the redo log files produced by oracle database in No.1 Military Medical Project. The basic concept, configuration and usage of LogMiner were described through an example of the Register Program in No.1 Military Medical Project. Results The errors made by Register Program was quickly pinpointed and then corrected by SQL statements provided by UNDO_VALUE field. Conclusion The method using LogMiner to pinpoint and correct the errors in the application level in No.1 Military Medical Project is simple, accurate and convenient. It should be a basic technique for maintenance personnel of hospital information system.

ABSTRACT

Objective To realize management of nosocomial consumables in supermarket style by developing bar code input and output modules.Methods Based on No.1 Military Medical Project and Consumables Management System,source codes were extracted and bar code input and output modules were added into original system.Results With the bar code modules,the actual work flow of this system was simplified to be three steps: consumables input by scanning bar codes;scan statistics;consumables output by scanning bar codes.Conclusion A lot of disadvantages in original workflow are removed such as overmuch procedures in workflow,frequent occurrence of errors,high labor repetition,low work efficiency,etc.work efficiency and accuracy are greatly improved and supermarket style management of nosocomial consumables is realized.
