ABSTRACT

Nuclear factor-?appa B(NF-?B) is an important transcription factor in the expression of any inflammatory media.The role of NF-?B in rheumatoid arthritis has been thought high recently.This review presents the role of NF-?B in rheumatoid arthritis,and the research progression of intervention therapy in inhibition of the activation of NF-?B is also introduced.

ABSTRACT

Objective To discuss the role of activation of nuclear factor ?appa B(NF-?B) in apoptosis of alveolar macrophages(AM) induced by gadolinium chloride(GdCl3) in acute necrotizing pancreatitis(ANP).Methods Thirty sixty adult SD rats were randomized into three groups: normal control group,ANP group and the group treated by GdCl3.ANP was induced by intraductal administration of 5% sodium taurocholate,while the normal control rats received an infusion of normal saline.In GdCl3 treatment group,GdCl3 was injected into dorsal vein of penis right after ANP model was established.AM were harvested by bronchoalveolar lavage six hours after model was established.The generation of TNF-? and IL-1? in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF),and the level of myeloperoxidase in lung tissue were evaluated.The expression of NF-?B protein in AM was determined by western blot.The apoptosis of AM was detected by agarose gel electrophoresis and flow cytometer.The histological examination of lung tissue was checked.Results The levels of TNF-? and IL-1? in ANP group were significantly higher than the control group and GdCl3 treatment group(P

ABSTRACT

Objective: To investigate the effect of urinastatin on the expression levels of NF-?B and TNF-? liver transplantation in patients. Methods: Thirty-six patients of late stage hepatic cirrhosis were randomly divided into two eaquel groups: the experiment group was administrated by urinastatin 300 000 U and saline 10 mL via venous injection during liver transplantation, the control group was administrated 10 mL saline by venous injection at the same time. The blood samples were harvestd at 1, 2, 4 and 6 h after the blood recovery of donated liver. The nuclear factor-?B (NF-?B) P65 relative level of blood was detected by Western blot analysis and the TNF-? level of blood was detected by double antibody Sandwich enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Serum ALT and AST were also measured. Results: The expression level of serum NF-?B p65, TNF-? in the experiment group were lower than those in the control group, and the difference was significant(P

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the mechanism of endothelial cell damage under insulin resistance state induced by high fat-feeding by observations of the effects of antioxidant N-acetylcysteine(NAC) on the blood glucose,lipids,the histological parameters of aorta,and the expression of intercellular adhesion molecules-1(ICAM-1),monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1) and NF-?B/I?B? in aortic intima.Methods Forty-five Wistar male rats aged 5 to 6 weeks were randomly divided into 3 groups:control,high fat-feeding(HF) and HF plus NAC treatment(HF+NAC).Blood glucose,insulin,lipids,body weight,visceral fat content,histological change of aorta and the expression levels of ICAM-1,MCP-1 and NF-?B/I?B? were determined after the rats were fed for 11 weeks. ABSTRACT

Objective: To investigate the influence of ischemic and pinacidil preconditioning on the activity of NF-?B and its myocardial protective effects.Methods: Eighty isolated rabbit hearts were randomized into five groups(Group C?K?I?P?G).Hearts were removed and mounted in a Langendorff apparatus perfused with 37℃ oxygenated Krebs-Henselet buffer.All groups were subjected to gobal myocardial ischemia for 40 min and reperfusion for 60 min or 120 min.Cardiac functions were monitored at 10 min equilibration ?15 min?30 min?60 min and 120 min reperfusion;Coronary flow(CF) was measured at 10 min equilibration and 30 min reperfusion;Expression of NF-?B P65 was determined at 10 min equilibration?60 min and 120min reperfusion.Results:(1)After ischemic reperfusion,the recovery of cardiac function and CF in Group I and Group P was significantly superior to that in Group C and Group K(P
