ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the effect of biological resonance technique in the detection and treatment of milk protein induced allergic diarrhea in infants .Methods A total of 60 infants with protein allergic diarrhea were detected by bio-resonance technique of German -made Bikang Biotherapeutic Instrument .The statistical bio-reso-nance technique was used to detect the distribution of allergy in infantile milk allergic diarrhea and treatment effect . Results Bio-resonance technique for detection of infantile milk protein allergic diarrhea ,the first six allergies were milk, milk protein, fish mixture, normal intestinal flora, mite and breast milk. The total effective rate was 95.00%,the effective rate was 95.83% in the female group and 94.44% in the male group, the difference was not statistically significant(χ2 =0.142,P>0.05).There was no significant difference between the 9th and 6th month group(χ2 =0.671,P >0.05).After treatment for 1 month, the follow -up showed no recurrence. Conclusion Resonance technology is one of the best technique to detect and treat allergic diarrhea in infants and young children , which is suitable for clinical use .

ABSTRACT

Objective To discover new biomarkers for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) diagnosis and prognosis using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)-based serum metabolomics. Methods High-resolution serum 1H NMR spectra were collected from 7 DLBCL patients and 7 healthy controls. Spectra were processed using stoichiometry pattern-recognition methods [principal component analysis (PCA) and orthogonal partial least squares discrimination analysis (OPLS-DA)]. Results Significant difference (P <0.05) in 9 metabolites was observed between DLBCL and healthy control by OPLS-DA (variable interpretation rate R2Y = 99.0 % and prediction rate Q2= 94.5 %). Compared with the healthy control group, higher levels of lactate (r =0.60, P<0.01), glycine (r =0.84, P<0.001), creatine (r =0.63, P<0.01), and choline (r =0.69, P< 0.01), lower levels of acetate (r= -0.88, P< 0.001), high-density lipoprotein (r= -0.77, P< 0.001), citrate (r =-0.82, P<0.001), glutamine (r =-0.53, P<0.05) and phosphocholine/glycerophosphocholine (r =-0.62, P<0.001) were detected in the serum samples of DLBCL. Conclusion The results of this study offer an evidence for significant changes between DLBCL patients and healthy people in serum metabolite profiles utilizing NMR-based serum metabolomics.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the findings of 1H magnetic resonance spectroscopy ( 1H MRS) and explore its value for diagnosis of radiation induced-temporal lobe necrosis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Methods Thirteen patients with definite clinical diagnosis of radiation induced temporal lobe necrosis in NPC underwent 1H MRS. All 1H MRS examinations were performed on a Singa Horizont 1.5 T whole body MR system with point resolved spectroscopy (PRESS) and chemical-shift selective saturation (CHESS) (TR=2000?ms,TE=144 ?ms). The voxel (2?cm ? 2?cm ? 2?cm) was positioned in both of the lesion and the contralateral side of the temporal lobe as the control (except for bilateral lesions). 2THZ]Results The interval between radiation and the examination ranged from 32 to 172 months ( median, 42 months). Eighteen lesions were observed in 13 patients (5 patients with bilateral lesions). 1H MRS was performed on 17 lesions and 8 control temporal lobes. The mean values of NAA/ Cr in the lesions and the control temporal lobes were 1.33?0.28、1.78?0.34 respectively(t=3.22, P=0.005). Three lesions showed NAA、Cho and Cr peak absent (2 lesions with Lip peak ). Among 8 patients with the control temporal lobes 1H MRS examined, Cho/Cr decreased in 6 patients (75%). Four lesions showed Lip , Lac and MI, respectively. Conclusions The radiation-induced temporal lobe necrosis shows abnormal features on 1H MRS. Significant decrease of NAA/ Cr as well as Cho/Cr are observed in most patients. 1H MRS may play a role in the diagnosis of radiation induced temporal lobe necrosis.
