ABSTRACT

O ensino superior em Enfermagem está em constante transformação, ensejando o uso de metodologias ativas que colaborem para o desenvolvimento de competências. Objetivou-se apresentar o panorama dos marcos de competência para formação de enfermeiros no Brasil. Trata-se de uma Revisão de Escopo, realizada nas bases de dados Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), PubMed, Portal da Capes e Biblioteca Eletrônica Científica Online (SciELO), no período de 2012 a 2022. Foram utilizados os descritores "Educação Baseada em Competências", "Perfil de Competências de Enfermeiros"; "Educação do Enfermeiro" e "Competência" nos idiomas inglês e espanhol, com o booleano "AND". Os 11 estudos selecionados evidenciaram a mudança de paradigma de formação baseada em competências, a partir das Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais, clareamento do conceito de competência e marco de competências. Na realidade brasileira o tema é incipiente, com iniciativas baseadas em perfis de competências de gestão, liderança, promoção e educação em saúde.


Higher education in Nursing is constantly changing, stimulating the use of active methodologies that contribute to the development of competencies. The objective was to present an overview of the competency milestones for nurse training in Brazil. This is a Scoping Review, carried out in the Virtual Health Library (VHL), PubMed, Capes, Portal and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) databases, from 2012 to 2022. The descriptors "Based Education Skills", "Profile of Nurses' Skills"; "Nurse Education" and "Competency" were used in English and Spanish, with the Boolean "AND". The 11 selected studies showed a change in the paradigm of competency-based training, using the National Curriculum Guidelines, clarifying the concept of competency and the competency milestones. In the Brazilian reality, the theme is incipient, with initiatives inscribed in records of management skills, leadership, promotion and health education.


La educación superior en Enfermería está en constante cambio, promovendo el uso de metodologías activas que contribuyan al desarrollo de competencias. El objetivo fue presentar un panorama de los hitos competenciales para la formación de enfermeros en Brasil. Se trata de una Revisión de Alcance, realizada en las bases de datos Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (BVS), PubMed, Portal Capes y Biblioteca Electrónica Científica en Línea (SciELO), de 2012 a 2022. Se utilizaron los descriptores "Educación Basada en Habilidades", "Perfil de Competencias del Enfermero"; "Educación de enfermería" y "Competencia" en inglés y español, con el booleano "AND". Los 11 estudios seleccionados evidenciaron un cambio en el paradigma de la formación por competencias, tomando como base los Lineamientos Curriculares Nacionales, aclarando el concepto de competencia y el marco de competencias. En la realidad brasileña, el tema es incipiente, con iniciativas inscritas en registros de habilidades de gestión, liderazgo, promoción y educación en salud.

ABSTRACT

Objetivo: identificar a percepção dos discentes da disciplina de Espiritualidade aplicada à Enfermagem na residência de enfermagem em saúde mental e psiquiatria. Método: estudo descritivo-exploratório com abordagem quantitativa. A auto percepção foi medida em dois momentos, pré e pós conteúdo temático da disciplina "Espiritualidade e Religiosidade (E-R) aplicado a Enfermagem" a técnica das nuvens de palavras para análise das informações. Resultados: das onze discentes do sexo feminino, com idade de 27 anos (média), seis referiram ter orientação religiosa, citando o catolicismo, protestantismo, espiritismo e o sincretismo religioso, praticando além da religiosidade organizacional a não organizacional, por meio de jejum, oração, leitura das escrituras e livros religiosos, meditação e contemplação. Quanto aos significados à E-R, os mais representativos à primeira foram: algo interno, amor e autoconhecimento, e a segunda crença, dogma e oração. A partir da experiência de aprendizado nesta disciplina, a auto percepção acerca das competências ao cuidado espiritual em enfermagem demonstrou-se mais elevadas, de 37,7 para 68,8 no escore total. Conclusão: a disciplina proporcionou um espaço dialético para um processo de ensino aprendizagem direcionado às competências ao cuidado espiritual; auxiliando em reflexões e mudanças no perfil para auto percepção acerca da E-R e suas práticas integrativas em enfermagem.


Objective: to identify the perception of students of the discipline of Spirituality applied to Nursing in nursing residence in mental health and psychiatry. Method: descriptive-exploratory study with quantitative approach. Self-perception was measured in two moments, pre and post thematic content of the discipline "Spirituality and Religiosity (R-R) applied to Nursing" the word cloud technique for information analysis. Results: of the eleven female students, aged 27 years (average), six reported having religious orientation, citing Catholicism, Protestantism, spiritualism and religious syncretism, practicing in addition to organizational to non-organizational religions, through fasting, prayer, scripture reading and religious books, meditation and contemplation. As for the meanings to E-R, the most representative of the first were: something internal, love and self-knowledge, and the second belief, dogma and prayer. From the experience of learning in this discipline, self-perception about the competences to spiritual care in nursing was higher, from 37.7 to 68.8 in the total score. Conclusion: the discipline provided a dialectical space for a teaching-learning process directed to the skills of spiritual care; assisting in reflections and changes in the profile for self-perception about the E-R and its integrative nursing practices.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the effect of predictive nursing combined with 317 nursing-nurse's education assistant on the bowel preparation of elderly patients.Methods The elderly patients who was hospitalized or physically examined between March and December 2017 were divided into two groups with their wills:60 cases in the observation group and 58 cases in the control group.In the former group, the education with the predictive nursing and the 317 nursing-nurse's education assistant by primary nurses was conducted and in the latter,the traditional oral and paper method was used for the bowel preparation. Results The quality of bowel preparation in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group. The complication rate in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The predictive nursing combined with the 317 nursing-nurse's education assistant can improve the bowel preparation quality and reduce the complication rate in the elderly patients.

ABSTRACT

Con el propósito difundir en qué consiste la función de mentoring de la Enfermera de Práctica Avanzada, se realiza una Revisión de la Literatura. Por medio de las bases de datos electrónicas EBSCO, Pubmed, Medline, CINHAL y BEIC, se seleccionaron artículos desde el año 1999 al 2014, en español e inglés. Se analizaron 36 artículos, los que sostienen que el mentoring es una estrategia educativa que promueve el desarrollo profesional y personal. Es una función de la Enfermera de Práctica Avanzada que se centra en la reflexión, pensamiento crítico y habilidades de comunicación.


With the aim to spread that mentoring is the function of the Advanced Practice Nurse, a review of the literature was performed. Using the electronic databases EBSCO, PubMed, Medline, CINAHL and BEIC, articles are selected from 1999 to 2014, in Spanish and English. 36 papers were analyzed and argue that mentoring is an educational strategy that promotes professional and personal development. It is a function of the Advanced Practice Nurse based on reflection, critical thinking and communication skills.

ABSTRACT

The aim of this study was to assess the teaching-learning process related to patient privacy during the care process and the way nursing students’ protect patient privacy. Descriptive/correlational study using a qualitative approach and nonprobability sampling of 19 nurse educators from two schools of nursing. Data was collected using semi-structured interviews. Data analysis was undertaken using the SPSS version 20 and Alceste 2010 programs. The study complied with ethical standards. Two classes were assigned (protection of patient privacy and care process) with four subcategories (protection, empathy, relational competencies and technoscientific competencies).The findings show the need to adopt a reflective approach to the teaching-learning process by using experiential learning activities and real-life activities. We believe that intimacy and the protection of privacy should be core themes of nurse education and training.


El objetivo de este estudio fue comprender cómo la enseñanza y el aprendizaje se lleva a cabo la preservación de la intimidad de los usuarios durante el proceso de la atención, los estudiantes de enfermería. Estudio descriptivo correlacional, enfoque cualitativo. Muestra no probabilística por conveniencia de 19 maestros de dos escuelas. La recolección de datos se realizó a través de una entrevista semi-estructurada. En el procesamiento de datos con el software SPSS versión 20 y Alceste 2010. Procedimientos éticos respetados. La intimidad se define como la clase 3 del corpus de entrevistas. Se definen dos categorías (de preservación de la intimidad y el proceso de atención) y cuatro subcategorías de esta clase (preservación, habilidades relacionales, empatía y experiencia técnica y científica). Los resultados apuntan a la necesidad de utilizar metodologías reflexivas a través de ejemplos y experiencias reales en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de los estudiantes. Creemos que la preservación de la intimidad y la intimidad debe ser conceptos centrales en la educación de enfermería.


O objetivo deste estudo foi perceber como decorre o ensino-aprendizagem da preservação da intimidade do utente durante o processo de cuidar, pelos estudantes de enfermagem.Estudo descritivo-correlacional, abordagem qualitativa. Amostra não-probabilística por conveniência de 19 docentes de duas escolas. A recolha de dados foi feita através de uma entrevista semi-estruturada. No tratamento dos dados utilizaram-se os Softwares SPSS versão 20 e Alceste 2010. Respeitados os procedimentos éticos. A intimidade foi definida como a classe 3 do corpus das entrevistas. Definimos duas categorias (preservação da intimidade e processo de cuidar) e quatro subcategorias desta classe (preservação, relação empática, competências relacionais e competênciatécnico-científica).Os resultados apontam para a necessidade de se utilizarem metodologias reflexivas através de vivências e exemplos reais no processo de ensino-aprendizagem dos estudantes. Consideramos que a intimidade e a preservação da intimidade devem ser conceitos centrais da formação em enfermagem.

ABSTRACT

PURPOSE: In this paper issues and challenges of the workforce policy for nursing were explored and appropriate policy responses identified. RESULTS: Many countries, including South Korea, are facing a shortage of nurses. In South Korea, the number of practicing registered nurses is about half the average for Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) member countries. The shortage of nurses is not necessarily a shortage of individuals with nursing qualifications but also includes complex issues, such as lack of well-educated nurses, shortage of nurses willing to work, and geographical imbalances of nurses. The present nurse workforce policies are to increase number of nursing schools, to reduce the length of training, and to replace nurses with nursing assistants. However, the findings of many studies have shown that these attempts resulted in a worsening of patient outcomes and increasingly low quality of care. CONCLUSION: The findings in this study indicate that nurse workforce policy should have a multi-faceted approach in order to address the many factors affecting nurse shortages.

Resumen:


La Enfermería Basada en la Evidencia (EBE) es una metodología que en los últimos años ha servido de base para la utilización crítica y conciente de los resultados de las investigaciones en la práctica profesional. La revisión de los currículums de varias escuelas de enfermería de Argentina muestran la ausencia de abordaje específico de esta temática, lo que resulta de interés propiciar su estudio. El objetivo general fue conocer la opinión de los egresados de enfermería sobre la incorporación de contenidos de EBE en los planes de estudio de la Licenciatura en Enfermería. Metodología: estudio descriptivo, trasversal. El universo estuvo constituido por todos los egresados de no más de cinco años. La muestra fue aleatoria simple (n: 70). La técnica e instrumento fue un cuestionario autoadministrado. La fuente primaria. Resultados: la población estuvo constituida por egresados con edad promedio de 36,6. El 71% de los encuestados entre cuatro y cinco años, el 20% de un año y el 9% entre dos y tres. El grado de conocimiento fue mediano y con necesidad de actualizar un 49,5%, con igual porcentaje se expresa la necesidad de adquirir el nuevo conocimiento. Respecto al interés demostrado, los licenciados responden como importante y necesario, sin diferencias significativas entre las cohortes. Al preguntar sobre en qué nivel de formación se deberían incluir, el 52% opina en los primeros años, el 30% en los últimos. En relación a la modalidad de inclusión, el 63% selecciona la manera integrada. Conclusiones: la temática de la incorporación de contenidos de EBE en los planes de estudio es de interés para los graduados encuestados y representa un desafío de flexibilización curricular.


Abstract:


The Evidence-Based Nursing (EBN) is a methodology that in recent years has been the basis for critical and conscious use of research findings in practice. The revision of the curricula of several schools of nursing in Argentina shows the absence of specific approach to this issue, which is interesting to study. The overall objective was to know the opinion of nursing graduates on the incorporation of EBE content in the curriculum in the Bachelor of Nursing degree. Methodology: a descriptive, cross-study. The universe consisted of all graduates graduating not more than 5 years ago. The sample was simple random (n = 70). The technique and the instrument was a self-completed questionnaire. The source was primary. Results: the population consisted of graduates with an average age of 36,6 years. 71% of respondents graduated four to five years ago, 20% a year ago and 9% between two and three years ago. The degree of knowledge was intermediate and in need of updating in 49,5% of respondents, with the same percentage expressing the need to acquire new knowledge. Regarding the graduates’ interest in this issue they responded it was important and necessary, with no significant differences between the cohorts. When asked about what level of training should be included, 52% believed it should be included in the early years and 30% in the later ones. In relation to the mode of inclusion, 63% selected an integrated manner. Conclusions: the issue of incorporation EBE content in the curriculum is of interest to the graduates surveyed and represents a challenge of curricular flexibility.


A Enfermagem Baseada em Evidências (EBE) é uma metodologia que nos últimos anos tem sido a base para o uso crítico e consciente dos resultados da investigação na prática. A revisão dos currículos das diversas escolas de enfermagem da Argentina mostra nenhuma abordagem específica para esta questão, que é de interesse para facilitar o seu estudo O objetivo geral foi conhecer a opinião dos graduados de enfermagem sobre a incorporação de conteúdos de EBN no currículo do Bacharelado em Enfermagem.


Metodología: descritivo, transversal. O universo consistiu de todos os formadnos de nao mais de 5 anos. A amostra aleatória simples. (n = 70). A técnica e um instrumento de auto-administrado. A fonte primária. Resultados: a população foi composta de graduados com uma idade média de 36,6. 71% dos entrevistados de quatro a cinco anos, 20% ao ano e 9% entre dois e três. O grau de conhecimento era de médio e na necessidade de actualização de 49,5%, com a mesma porcentagem expressou a necessidade de adquirir novos conhecimentos. Em relação aos graduados atender interesse mostrado como um importante e necessário, sem diferenças significativas entre os grupos. Quando perguntado sobre o nível de formação devem ser incluídos, 52% acreditam que nos primeiros anos, 30% no passado. Em relação ao modo de inclusão, 63% seleccionada de modo integrado. Conclusões: O conteúdo temático da incorporação de BSE no currículo é de interesse para alunos pesquisados e representa um desafio de flexibilidade curricular.

ABSTRACT

Objetivo. Describir las labores de prescripción de medicamentos que realizaron los profesionales de enfermería en la ciudad deCali (Colombia) durante el año 2008. Metodología. Se realizó una encuesta a 135 enfermeras que laboran en diferentes tipos de servicios asistenciales o administrativos sobre hábitos de formulación, percepciones sobre su formación, capacidades y necesidades para ejercer la prescripción de medicamentos. Resultados. La prescripción de medicamentos es una práctica frecuente en la mayoría de la población encuestada, sin relación con el trabajo que desempeñan, la formación de postgrado o la experiencia laboral. Para ejercer esta labor, los encuestados consideran que necesitan formación en farmacología más que un respaldo legal; sin embargo, no reconocen esta actividad como parte de las funciones de su profesión. La prescripción de medicamentos por enfermeras se presenta en algunos casos como una función de la institución donde laboran. Conclusión. La prescripción de medicamentos es una práctica que se ejerce entre los enfermeros de la ciudad, y de acuerdo con los resultados presentados, requiere un debate académico, legal y gremial para ser considerada entre el que hacer de la profesión.


Objective. To describe the drug prescription duties held by nursing professionals in the city of Cali (Colombia) during the year of 2008. Methodology. A survey was applied to 135 nurses who work in different kinds of healthcare or administrative services about prescription habits, perceptions about their education, abilities and necessities to prescribe drugs. Results. Drug prescription is a frequent practice in most of the surveyed population, unrealeted to the work performed, the postgraduate degree or the job experience. The surveyed consider they need more than a legal support the pharmacological training to prescribe drugs; however they don’t recognize this practice as part of their professional job. Nurses’ drug prescription is sometimes presented as part of their occupation tasks into the institution. Conclusion. Drug prescription is a practice performed by the city nurses and according to the presented results they require an academic, legal, professional debate to be considered between their tasks.

Para exercer este labor, os interrogados consideram que precisam formação em farmacologia mais do que um respaldo legal; no entanto, não reconhecem esta atividade como parte das funções de sua profissão. A prescrição de medicamentos por enfermeiras se apresenta em alguns casos como uma função da instituição onde laboram. Conclusão. a prescrição de medicamentos é uma prática que se exerce entre os enfermeiros da cidade, e de acordo com os resultados apresentados, requer um debate acadêmico, legal e do grêmio para ser considerada entre o afazer da profissão.

Objective To understand the comprehensive quality status of community nurses in Chongqing and seek the development strategy of community nursing education. Methods Related infor-marion was collected through questionnaire investigation in 104 community nurses from 9 community health service center and 18 community health station. Results The mastering degree of various community nursing knowledge was different among nurses with different education background and different profession-al titles (P < 0.05).More than 80% nurses considered it necessary to cultivate comprehensive technique of special courses ,the ability to cope with community emergencies and self-development in their work.78.9% nurses thought they should reinforce the ability in predicting potential problems in community and solving problems by theirselves, Conclusions We need to strengthen the work belief of community nurses,perfect training conditions,optimize course contents and cultivate nurses' comprehensive ability purposely.

ABSTRACT

We made use of a neurosurgical care unit (NCN) from May 1986. The NCU differs from the intensive care unit (ICU) in several points. The NCU has 16 beds for neurosurgical patients who require continuous observation while the intensive therapy is not likely to be required. Wall units for oxygen and suction are equipped for each bed. One of the patient's family or relatives could attend the patient in the NCU. Neurosurgical nurse education has been offered monthly according to a scheduled curriculum to enhance an ability of neurosurgical close observation. The NCU has several unique advantages. The NCU can solve the bed availability problem caused by not only increased requirement for beds but also patients who were stabilized but still dependant or had some risk of sudden deterioration. Patients in the NCU require more observation than therapy. Thus, the NCU requires less equipments than the ICU, so it is cheap to set up. Regular neurosurgical nurse education fills up the efficiency of the NCU. Attendance of the family not only adds man-power but also provides a skinship and more intimate therapeutic environment. It also potentiates ability to care at home by their family. Our model of NCU has brought so significant advantages that we may advocate the efficacy of such an intermediate care facility, and present here our model of NCU.
