ABSTRACT

Objective To discuss the application effect of real time ratio of patients and nurses in nursing human resource dynamic management.Methods Our hospital made full use of the information platform,inquiring the real time ratio of patients and nurses,in combination with mobile nurse library,implement dynamic vertical management of nursing human resources on the level of the hospital-wide nursing management.The overall manpower cost remained the same through internal reasonable adjustment to achieve the best configuration of human resources and met the clinical needs effectively.Results The running effect was satisfactory from July 2012 till now.All the mobile nurses allocated were 71 person-times and the satisfaction degree of patients increased to 97.96% in the first half of 2013.Conclusions Application of real time ratio of patients and nurses shows good effect,which is worthy of wide application.

ABSTRACT

Objective We aimed to provide references for nurses allocation by selecting the nursing items and measuring nursing time. Methods We recorded the nursing workload of 130 nurses in 10 wards within one week by literature review, Delphi method and questionnaire investigation. Results Totally 125 items of nursing items were included,101 of which were direct nursing items and 24 of which were indirect ones.The average time per day per patient was 185.1 minutes for level one nursing,95.4 minutes for level two nursing, 58.5 minutes for level three nursing.Average nursing time per day,working time per day per nurse and nursing time per day for per patient in each unit had statistical difference,P<0.05.The time for direct nursing items was 64.13% and for indirect nursing items was 35.87%. Conclusions Allocation of nurses according to measurement of nursing time could reach the aim of reasonable allocation and effective utilization of nursing human resource.

ABSTRACT

Objective To discuss the influence of distribution of nursing human resource in maternalinfant wards on patients'satisfaction degree.Methods To analyze the satisfaction degree with nursing quality of all patients and distribution of nursing human resource in maternal-infant wards in our hospital in 2007.Results There was a positive correlation between inpatients'satisfaction of nursing service and distribution of nurses.Theinsufficiency of distribution of nursing human resource in maternal-infant wards caused nurses' sensation of work tiredness,degradation of service quality,bad service attitude,indifference to patients,lack of detail service,insufficiency of basic nursing care,simplistic health education,and unwarranted quality of technique operation.Conclusions The distribution of nursing human resource in maternal-infant wards should be hisher than that in common wards and We should pay attention to the distribution of naming safety in maternal-in-fant wards,increase nurse staffing,rationally utilize human resource,enhance training of comprehensive quality of nurses,strengthen quality awareness,service awareness and safety awareness,ensure the nursing quality and mother-infant safety,and improve patients'satisfaction.

ABSTRACT

This article collects data of nursing staff from 34 hospitals in Shanghai by on-spot interview which could reflects the current situation of nursing human resource allocation there.The result shows a shortage of nurse staff'.Most of them are female and youthful,with lower diploma and lower job title.By analyzing the equity of allocation,the accessibility of health service and the rationality of staff structure,we give some advices that the government should allocate the nursing human resource rationally to insure the quality of nursing care and maintain the stableness of nursing staff team.
