ABSTRACT

Objective:To evaluate the effect of virtual painless ward management based on mobile internet on pain management of patients after craniotomy. Methods:From May to October, 2019, 117 patients who accepted virtual painless ward management based on mobile Internet after craniotomy were selected as painless ward group. From December, 2018 to April, 2019, 117 patients previously hospitalized in the same department after craniotomy were selected as control group. The regression equation was established to compare the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS), nursing satisfaction and anxiety rate between two groups, and the general data, such as age, were taken as independent variables into the regression equation. Partial regression coefficient (B), odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) of the painless ward management after adjustment compared with that of the non-painless ward management were calculated. Results:Multivariate regression analysis showed that, compared with the control group, the score of NRS within four days significantly decreased (B = -2.700, 95%CI -3.167 to -2.232, P < 0.001), the nursing satisfaction significantly increased (B = 0.542, 95%CI 0.289 to 0.795, P < 0.001), and the anxiety rate significantly decreased (B = -2.119, OR = 0.120, 95%CI 0.053 to 0.271, P < 0.001) in the painless ward group. However, the improvement of the anxiety rate might not completely depend on the decrease of NRS score (B = -0.112, OR = 0.894, 95%CI 0.727 to 1.100, P > 0.05). Conclusion:The procedure of virtual painless ward based on mobile internet could obviously improve the management level of analgesia for patients after craniotomy.

ABSTRACT

【Objective】 To investigate whether the psychological counseling nursing could alleviate psychological stress and reduce the incidence of adverse events in patients receiving advanced autologous apheresis (AAA) treatment. 【Methods】 A total of 253 patients who underwent AAA treatment in our department from September 2019 to February 2020 were studied and randomly divided into the observation group (n=127) and the control group (n=126). Other than the routine nursing, the patients in the observation group also received psychological counseling nursing. The scores of self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating depression scale (SDS) were used to compare the psychological stress state and the incidence of adverse events between two groups, and the nursing satisfaction was evaluated by NSNS scores. 【Results】 The SAS and SDS scores in the observation group( after receiving counseling nursing as the psychological intervention) were 30.03±5.06 and 33.59±4.49, respectively, significantly lower than those in the control group (43.55±3.68 and 42.18±4.22, respectively) (P<0.05). The incidences of adverse events (convulsions not included) in the observation group and the control group were 11.8%(15/127) vs 26.2%(33/126) (palpitation and shortness of breath), 6.3%(8/127) vs 16.7%(21/126) (sweating), 8.7%(11/127) vs 23.8%(30/126) (dizziness and numbness in mouth), and 5.5%(7/127) vs 19.8%(30/126) (nausea), respectively (P<0.05). The total nursing satisfaction rate of the observation group was 98.4% (125/127), which was significantly higher than that of the control group (92.9%, 117/126) (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 The psychological counseling nursing can effectively relieve the psychological stress of patients receiving AAA treatment and reduce the incidence of adverse events.

ABSTRACT

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to provide basic research material necessary for the establishment of comprehensive nursing service units, through a comparative analysis of inpatient satisfaction with nursing between comprehensive nursing service and general units and the work stress of nurses. METHODS: The survey participants were inpatients and nurses from 3 general hospitals in Busan, including 6 units, 123 nurses and 220 patients. Date collection was done through March and April 2016. Collected data were analyzed using test and independent t-test with SPSS 23 Win program. RESULTS: Inpatients on comprehensive nursing service units had higher scores for satisfaction than inpatients on general units. There was no statistically significant difference in nurses' work stress between the two types of units. CONCLUSION: The findings indicate that although inpatient satisfaction with comprehensive nursing service units is higher than for general units, work stress for nurses is comparatively high for both types of units. While it is necessary to expand the implementation of comprehensive nursing service units, an institutional strategy for reducing nurses' work stress is required if the expansion is to be successful.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the relationship between the cancer patients'right to know the true diagnosis and their satisfaction degree with nursing service. Methods We randomly selected 746 patients from the tumor center, the circulation department, the respiration department and surgery department.Questionnaires were designed according to patients'right to know the true diagnosis and the results were analyzed. Results Cancer patients who don't know the true diagnosis wanted to acquire the true information about their diseases but nurses were supposed to keep secret of the actual diagnosis. This contradiction led to the impediment of communication between patients andf nurses compared with other department(P<0.05). Conclusion The right to know their true diagnosis proved to be important for cancer patients in that it could increase the compliance of patients and promote communications so that patients would accept nursing service and the satisfaction degree with nursing service would improved.
