ABSTRACT
O estudo da personalidade suscita grande interesse para a Psicologia. Sua investigação permite entender o que distingue as pessoas entre si. Considerando a importância da utilização de normas apropriadas para a população em que os testes são empregados e o iminente aumento na expectativa de vida dos brasileiros, este trabalho teve o objetivo de investigar a necessidade de normas específicas do Teste Palográfico para pessoas maiores de 60 anos. Participaram do estudo 227 pessoas, com idades entre 18 e 80 anos, sendo a maioria do sexo masculino (90,7%). As comparações de médias entre o grupo estudado e os dados normativos indicaram diferenças significativas em 11 das 20 características do teste investigadas no estudo. Posteriormente, as correlações encontradas entre a idade e as medidas reforçaram a hipótese da influência da idade no teste. Assim este artigo mostra a importância de se considerar a necessidade de normas específicas para avaliação da população idosa, neste e em outros testes psicológicos
The study of personality arouses great interest in Psychology. This kind of investigation allows us to understand what differenciates people from each other. Considering the importance of using appropriate norms for the population in which the tests are used and the imminent increase in the life expectancy of the Brazilians, this work had the objective of investigating the need for specific norms of the Palográfico test for people older than 60 years. A total of 227 people, aged between 18 and 80 years, participated in the study, the majority being male (90.7%). Comparisons of means between the study group and the normative data indicated significant differences in 11 of the 20 characteristics of the test investigated in the study. Subsequently, the correlations found between age and measures reinforced the hypothesis concerning the influence of age on the test. Therefore, this article shows the importance of considering the need for specific norms for evaluation of the elderly population, in this and other psychological tests

O Palográfico é um teste gráfico expressivo que avalia características de personalidade e é utilizado em avaliações psicológicas para diversos fins, principalmente em processos com grande volume de candidatos. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi verificar a precisão do Software de Correção Informatizada para o Palográfico (SKIP) por meio da comparação entre dois métodos de avaliação: o tradicional (manual) e o eletrônico. A amostra foi composta por 103 pessoas de ambos os sexos com idades entre 18 e 63 anos e escolaridade do Ensino Fundamental ao Superior, que participaram de avaliações psicológicas para obtenção da CNH. As medidas foram submetidas à Correlação de Pearson e ao Teste t de Student. Todas as correlações entre os dois métodos de avaliação foram muito altas (acima de 0,943) e as diferenças entre as médias não foram estatisticamente significantes. Os resultados apontaram altos índices de precisão do SKIP para a mensuração das características quantitativas do Teste Palográfico...
The Palográfico is an expressive graphic test that assesses personality characteristics and is used in psychological assessments for various purposes, especially in cases with large volume of examinees. The objective of this research was to determinate the reliability of the Computerized Correction Software for Palográfico Test (SKIP), through the comparison of two methods of evaluation: the traditional (manual) and the electronic. The sample was composed by 103 participants of both sexes aged between 18 and 63 years, whose education varied from elementary school to college, and who participated in psychological assessments to obtain CNH. Measures were submitted to the Pearson correlation and Student's t test. All correlations of the two assessment methods were very high (above 0,943) and the differences between means were not statistically significant. Este estudo teve como objetivo realizar um levantamento do perfil de personalidade de profissionais de atendimento na área da saúde. A amostra foi composta por 83 profissionais de atendimento de uma prestadora de serviços médicos. O instrumento utilizado foi o Teste Palográfico. As características avaliadas foram: Autoestima, relacionamento interpessoal, produtividade, ritmo de trabalho, impulsividade e organização. A pesquisa foi aprovada pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa e os participantes assinaram o Termo de Consentimento Livre e Esclarecido (TCLE). Os resultados apontam que estes profissionais expressam autoestima e relacionamento interpessoal normal, boa adaptação ao meio, respeito aos limites no convívio com os outros, rendimento de trabalho na média, adaptação adequada às tarefas que envolvem rotinas e organização regular. Os achados contribuem para a compreensão de aspectos da personalidade de profissionais de atendimento na área da saúde.(AU)
The aim of this study is to present the personality profile of professionals in health care. The sample was composed of 83 professionals of medical services. The instrument used was the Palographic test. The characteristics evaluated were: Self esteem, interpersonal relationships, productivity, impulsivity and organization. The study was approved by the ethics committee and the participants signed an informed consent term. The results indicate that these professionals express normal self-esteem and interpersonal relations as well as good adaptation to the environment, respect for the limits in dealing with others. The productivity in work were on average and the sample also presented adequate adaptation to tasks involving routines and regular organization. These results contribute to the understanding of the aspects of the personality of professionals in health care.(AU)
