ABSTRACT
Introducción: los valores se deben formar desde la cuna, en el seno de un núcleo familiar, se afianzan en la escuela y se consolidan en la Universidad. En los estudiantes universitarios, cualquiera que sea su carrera y especialidad existe una figura influyente en la formación de valores, el paradigma a imitar: el profesor. Objetivo: actualizar la información sobre la pedagogía de los valores y su influencia en la anestesiología y reanimación. Desarrollo: la continuidad de la profesionalización tiene su fundamento básico en las diversas formas de organización de la enseñanza. Cualquiera que esta sea, culmina en el saber hacer y por ende, en la educación en el trabajo. La educación en el trabajo, está necesitada de valores porque el paciente es la fuente de aprendizaje del estudiante de la especialidad y es por eso que, ante él y por él, tienen que primar los valores. Estos que van desde el respeto, la tolerancia, la solidaridad, la generosidad, la perseverancia, la responsabilidad y el amor constituyen, dentro de muchos otros, los que el profesor debe inculcar y exigir en sus estudiantes. Conclusiones: la pedagogía de los valores resulta importante en la enseñanza de todas las residencias médicas en general y en la anestesiología y reanimación en particular. La educación en el trabajo cuyo colofón es el saber, el saber hacer y el saber ser resultan de inestimable valor en el campo de la especialidad. Enseñar estos valores es un deber de todos(AU)
Introduction: values must be created since childhood, within the family. They are consolidated both at school and at university. For university students, regardless their major or specialty, there is an influential figure in the teaching of values, the paradigm to imitate: the teacher. Objective: to update the information about the pedagogy of values and its influence on anesthesiology and resuscitation. Development: the continuity of professionalization has its basic foundation in the different forms of teaching organization. Whatever this may be, it culminates in know-how and, therefore, in education at work. Education at work is in need of values because the patient is the source of learning for the specialty student and that is why, before him and for him, values must prevail. Among many others, which cover respect, tolerance, solidarity, generosity, perseverance, responsibility, and love, every teacher must inculcate and demand them from their students. Conclusion: the pedagogy of values is important in the teaching of all medical specialties in general, and particularly in anesthesiology and resuscitation. Education at work, whose culmination is knowledge, know-how, and know-to-be, has an inestimable value in the field of the specialty. Teaching these values is a social duty(AU)
