ABSTRACT

Objective: To provide reference for promoting the use of Tengyao in the treatment of pelvic inflammatory diseases (PID). Methods: From January to March 2017, 111 health workers in department of gynaecology were investigated. The quantitative research of KAP questionnaire was used, and the content of questionnaire included personal information, knowledge, attitudes and practices. Results: A total of 111 copies of questionnaire were distributed and 95. 5% of them were effective. Interviewees' overall knowledge was at low level while the attitude was at high level; the main way to obtain knowledge was coming from colleagues (76. 42% ); working lifetime and speciality classification had significant impacts on the level of knowledge (P<0. 05); the majority of interviewees were willing to learn the relevant knowledge through training sessions (54. 72% ) and new media (27. 36% ); 48 inter-viewees would like to continue to use Tengyao for treating PID. The main problem of Tengyao in the treatment of PID was inconvenient operation (63. 64% ). Totally 83. 96% of interviewees considered that the dosage forms of Tengyao should be improved, and 50. 94% of interviewees considered that the clinical efficiency evaluation should be studied. Conclusion: Interviewees'overall knowledge is still at low level, especially in the junior medical staff. Pharmacists should improve the knowledge level of medical staff by meeting train-ing, and study how to improve the dosage forms and evaluate the clinical efficiency of Tengyao.

Results: Average number of AMAs per prescription was 2.26. Majority of patients prescribed were Antifungals (n=112, P=23.57%) followed by Fluoroquinolones (n=102, P=21.47%), Aminoglycosides (19.36%), Nitroimidazoles (16.0 %) and Doxycyclines (P=15.78%). Urinary antiseptics were the least prescribed class (3.78%). Individually, most commonly used agents of these is Clotrimazole + Tinidazole followed by Doxycycline and least prescribed was Nitrofurantoin. ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of Biling Zhidai Tablets(BZT) on monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1), intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1)and tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α)levels as well as hemorheology of rats with sequela of pelvic inflammatory diseases(SPID). Methods One hundred Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control group , sham-operation group , model group , BZT group(0.54 g·kg-1·d-1)and Fuke Baidai Tablets group(0.225 g·kg-1·d-1), 20 rats in each group . The rats of the model group, BZT group and Fuke Baidai Tablets group were given mechanical damage plus injection of mixed bacteria to induce SPID. After modeling for 2 weeks, the latter three groups were given intragastric administration of the medicine for 21 days. The uterine swelling rate, the serum levels of MCP-1, ICAM-1, TNF-α as well as hemorheological indexes of rats in various groups were detected. Results The uterine swelling rate in BZT group and Fuke Baidai Tablets group was significantly decreased as compared with that of the model group, and the uterine swelling inhibition rate of BZT group was higher than that of Fuke Baidai Tablets group (P<0.01). The levels of MCP-1, ICAM-1 and TNF-α of BZT group and Fuke Baidai Tablets group were significantly decreased as compared with those of the model group, and the effect of BZT group was better than t hat of Fuke Baidai Tablets group, the differences being statistically significant(P<0.05or P<0.01). The indexes of hemorheology in BZT group were significant improved as compared with Fuke Baidai Tablets group, and the improvement in BZT group was superior to that in Fuke Baidai Tablets group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Conclusion B ZT e xert certain therapeutic effect on treating SPID rats, and the mechanism is related with the relief of swelling of uterus, decrease of serum MCP-1, ICAM-1 and TNF-αlevels and improvement of the indexes of hemorheology.

ABSTRACT

PURPOSE: To determine the associated diseases causing hepatic capsular enhancement and analyze the relationship of the capsular enhancement patterns as a function of the associated diseases. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We retrospectively reviewed 797 patients having undergone arterial phase abdominal CT scans. Among these images, 47 patients showed hepatic capsular enhancement (13 men and 34 women; mean age: 53.1; age range: 5-91 years). We investigated if there was a correlation between the pattern of hepatic capsular enhancement and cause of disease. When the hepatic capsular enhancement was found to persist until the portal phase, the symptom duration was evaluated. RESULTS: Hepatic capsular enhancements were presented in 5.9% (47/797) of the arterial phase abdominal CT scans. Six patients (12.8%) were diagnosed with Fitz-Hugh-Curtis syndrome. The other causes of hepatic capsular enhancement included 20 cases of inflammation, 13 cases of malignancy, and 8 cases of other diseases. The extent of the hepatic capsular enhancement was not significantly different among the causes of disease. In thirty two of 47 patients (68.1%), hepatic capsular enhancement persisted until the portal phase images. CONCLUSION: Hepatic capsular enhancement on an arterial phase is a nonspecific imaging finding observed in the Fitz-Hugh-Curtis syndrome as well as a variety of other diseases. A CT is useful in finding the hepatic capsular enhancement and determining the accompanying disease.
