ABSTRACT
Objective To study the possibility of generating cartilage with a free composite graft of perichondrium and matrix. Methods A composite graft of a free perichondrium flap wrapped around acellular auricular cartilage matrix was implanted in the back subcutaneously of young New Zealand rabbits (GroupⅠ). As controls,double folded perichondrium free flap (GroupⅡa) and acellular auricular cartilage matrix without perichondrium cover (GroupⅡb) were implanted.
