ABSTRACT

Esta revisão seguiu as recomendações do Preferred reporting items for Systematic Review and Meta-análise (PRISMA).

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to systematically review the national and international literature on the relationship between the personal and professional lives of Physical Education teachers. This review followed the recommendations of the Preferred reporting items for Systematic Review and Meta-analysis (PRISMA). The analysis was performed through a systematic review of articles published in Ebsco databases; Redalyc; Scopus; Web of Science; Science Direct; Scielo; and Lilacs, in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Sixteen studies with cross-sectional and longitudinal design were identified, most of them carried out through questionnaires and structured interviews. It was observed in national studies that professional issues that interfere in the lives of teachers are associated with violence and lack of interest on the part of students. From an international perspective, the impact with the beginning of the teaching career, curricular issues and the status of the Physical Education teacher interfere in the teacher's personal life. Regarding the personal factors that impact the profession, both in national and international studies, it was found that motherhood, gender, age, marital status and children are factors that significantly interfere in the teacher's perception of his personal life, as well as in his teaching performance.
