ABSTRACT

Biomedical engineering uses engineering disciplines to solve medical-related problems efficiently and intelligently. It is a discipline that integrates multiple fields such as medicine, automation, computer science, data science, and integrated circuits, and is playing an increasingly important role in healthcare, the economy, and comprehensive national strength. In this paper, the research layout of the Center of Medical Artificial Intelligence and Robotics of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences was introduced in the field of biomedical engineering, including sound, light and electricity. The achievements in various fields under this framework were also introduced, and the development prospects and future vision of the Center in biomedical engineering were analyzed.

ABSTRACT

Photoelectric and ultrasonic technology rapid development has brought more choices for facial rejuvenation, but its prosperous clinical application forms a sharp contrast with its weak theoretical based research. Moreover, there is still no consensus on how to standardize the short-term and long-term effects of skin rejuvenation for different energy sources. This paper summarizes the application and progress of photoelectric and ultrasonic technology in facial rejuvenation in recent years, with emphasis on its characteristics and combination with other non-surgical treatments. Combining a variety of non-surgical treatments to maximize efficacy and balance the related risks is the direction of future development.

ABSTRACT

@#ObjectiveTo develop a portable body balance testing system for posture of standing and sitting.MethodsAs the body sways, balance indicator fixed on the centre of head will change with the swaying. The tract of the swaying indicator will be translated to tract of the posture by the means of photo-electricity and image processing. The body balance function will be measured quantificationally after the tract is analysed. Results and ConclusionThe system has been developed. With the aid of this instrument, the body balance function of one volunteer pre-drinking and post-drinking has been measured and compared.
