ABSTRACT
RESUMO O artigo tem como objetivo identificar aproximações da "sociologia do corpo" de David Le Breton com a agenda pós-moderna. Por uma revisão bibliográfica foi possível abordar conceitos-chave, identificar suas principais ideias e argumentos, e analisá-los sob uma perspectiva crítico-ontológica. Constatamos que tal sociologia, ao buscar superar a dicotomia corpo biológico e "espírito", compreende-o como uma ficção, um lugar de representações e símbolos que mediam as interações sociais e influenciam as identidades individuais e coletivas. Limitando-se por uma negação da totalidade social e do sujeito histórico, e assumindo uma desreferencialização do real.
ABSTRACT The article aims to identify the convergence between David Le Breton's "sociology of the body" and the postmodern agenda. Through a literature review, it was possible to address key concepts, identify their main ideas and arguments, and critically analyze them from a critical-ontological perspective. We found that this sociology, in its attempt to overcome the dichotomy between the biological body and the 'spirit,' views it as a fiction, a realm of representations and symbols that mediate social interactions and influence individual and collective identities. Constrained by a denial of social totality and the historical subject, it assumes a dereferentialization of the real.
RESUMEN El artículo tiene como objetivo identificar las convergencias entre la "sociología del cuerpo" de David Le Breton y la agenda posmoderna. A través de una revisión bibliográfica, fue posible abordar conceptos clave, identificar sus ideas principales y argumentos, y analizarlos críticamente desde una perspectiva crítico-ontológica. Encontramos que esta sociología, al intentar superar la dicotomía entre el cuerpo biológico y el 'espíritu', lo ve como una ficción, un ámbito de representaciones y símbolos que median las interacciones sociales e influyen en las identidades individuales y colectivas. Limitada por la negación de la totalidad social y el sujeto histórico, asume una desreferencialización de lo real.
