ABSTRACT

Objective: To explore the ethical cognition of scientific researchers on stem cell transplantation,and provide a basis for improving their ethical accomplishment.Methods: Adopting qualitative research method,this paper conducted the interview in depth among 15 researchers involved in the stem cell transplantation research aiming at ethical issues about stem cell transplantation and analyzed the interview texts.Results: The scientific re-searchers' ethical cognition on stem cell transplantation and macroscopic cognition on medical ethics were reflected in the following aspects: a certain degree of understanding on the ethical issues about stem cell transplantation; not attaching importance to ethical review in stem cell transplantation research; lack of ethics education; lack of under-standing on the conflict of interest for stem cell therapy; attaching importance to technology and despising ethics in macro concept.Conclusion: The ethical consciousness of Chinese researchers in the stem cells therapy is weak.It is recommended that it should strengthen the education of medical ethics and the ethical review of scientific research projects,so as to standardize the ethical procedures.
