ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo analyze the quantity-quality transfer of standard decoction of Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma(GRR) decoction pieces produced by fresh and traditional cutting, and to provide reference for quality control and application development of the decoction pieces produced by fresh cutting. MethodTen batches of representative GRR decoction pieces produced by fresh and traditional cutting and their standard decoctions were prepared by standard process, and high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) fingerprint of the standard decoction was established and performed on an Agilent EC-C18 column(4.6 mm×150 mm, 2.7 μm) with acetonitrile(A)-0.1% phosphoric acid aqueous solution(B) as the mobile phase for gradient elution(0-23 min, 18%-21%A; 23-35 min, 21%-28%A; 35-80 min, 28%-32%A), and the detection wavelength was 203 nm. Then similarity evaluation, principal component analysis(PCA) and partial least squares-discriminant analysis(PLS-DA) of fingerprint of the standard decoction were performed to screen the differential components with variable importance in the projection(VIP) value>1. Quantitative analysis was carried out on the screened known differential components, and combined with the indicators of the dry extract rate and the transfer rate, to explore the differences in the quantity-quality transfer between the standard decoction of GRR decoction pieces produced by fresh and traditional cutting. ResultThe fingerprint similarity of the standard decoction of GRR decoction pieces produced by fresh and traditional cutting was more than 0.950, and 18 common peaks were identified, including 9 identified common peaks. The results of PCA and PLS-DA showed that there were some differences in the contents of index components between the two standard decoctions. The contents of ginsenoside Rg1, Re and Ro in GRR decoction pieces produced by fresh cutting were higher than those in traditional decoction pieces, while the contents of ginsenoside Rb1, Rc , Rb2 and Rd were lower than those in traditional decoction pieces. The contents of ginsenoside Rg1, Re, Rb1 and Ro in the standard decoction of GRR decoction pieces produced by fresh cutting were higher than those in the standard decoction of traditional decoction pieces, while the contents of ginsenoside Rc , Rb2 and Rd were comparable between the two standard decoctions. Compared with the standard decoction of the traditional decoction pieces, the average transfer rates of ginsenoside Rg1, Rb1, Rc, Rb2 and dry extract rate of the standard decoction of GRR decoction pieces produced by fresh cutting were significantly increased(P<0.05), and the average transfer rate of ginsenoside Re and Rd also increased, but the difference was not statistically significant. ConclusionThe dry extract rate, content and transfer rate of index components of standard decoction of GRR decoction pieces produced by fresh cutting are better than those of the standard decoction of traditional decoction pieces, which can provides data support for the subsequent clinical application of fresh cutting products.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE To investigate the factors influencing the changes in purchasing quantity in the procurement varieties of the first batch of volume-based drug centralized procurement (hereinafter referred to as centralized procurement). METHODS Using 25 procurement varieties of the “4+7” policy as research objects, the changes in purchasing quantity of procurement varieties were analyzed before and after the implementation of the “4+7” pilot, renewal and expansion policies. The influential factors were determined from the three levels of drugs, medical institutions and regions; and the multiple linear regression model was used to analyze the influential factors for the changes in the purchasing quantity of procurement varieties. RESULTS Before and after the implementation of the “4+7” pilot, renewal and expansion policies, the purchasing quantity increased by 52.1, -0.2, 85.8 ten thousand DDDs on average, compared with base period. During pilot, renewal and expansion period, DDDc decrease in procurement varieties was positively correlated with the increase in purchasing quantity (P<0.01). During the pilot and renewal period, the number of absolutely alternative varieties was positively correlated with the increase in purchasing quantity (P<0.1). During the pilot and expansion period, the number of alternative varieties to a certain extent was negatively correlated with the increase in purchasing quantity (P<0.05). During the renewal period, the increment of purchasing quantity in tertiary hospitals was smaller than that of primary medical institutions (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS There is a relationship between the decline of DDDc and the changes in the purchasing quantity, that is, the more the drug price dropped, the more the purchasing quantity increased. The number of alternative varieties for centralized procurement will affect the changes in their purchasing quantity, but it is not always stable. With the implementation of the policy, the volume of primary medical institutions gradually exceeds that of tertiary institutions, indicating that the consumption of centralized purchased varieties is transferred to the primary medical institutions, and centralized procurement has promoted the implementation of the hierarchical diagnosis and treatment system.

ABSTRACT

Introduction: Intergroup contact is a good predictor of positive attitudes towards other groups, relationships that could be mediated by lower intergroup anxiety. These associations have been analyzed among different groups, such as nationality or religion. However, contact and attitudes among social classes have been scarcely explored. For this reason, we analyzed the mediator effect of intergroup anxiety on the relationship between intergroup contact and positive attitudes from people of lower subjective social class to those of higher subjective social class. We expected a positive relationship between contact (quantity and quality) and positive attitudes, with the mediation of lower intergroup anxiety. Method: In a non-representative Chilean sample (N = 118), we conducted regressions analyses to evaluate our hypothesis. Results: the results supported our main hypothesis, contact quantity and quality were associated with more positive attitudes toward individuals of higher subjective social class, mediated by lower intergroup anxiety. Conclusions: we discussed the implications for relationships among social classes and the limitations associated with the sample and assessment of the social class.

ABSTRACT

@#Introduction: The ability to self-regulate eating can improve health. This study aimed to determine the relationship between eating self-regulatory skills, diet quantity, and diet quality among Malaysian university students. Methods: This cross-sectional study involved 132 university students. Eating self-regulatory skill was assessed using the Self-Regulation of Eating Behaviour Questionnaire (SREBQ). Dietary intakes from two 24-hour dietary recalls were used to assess diet quantity and quality. Diet quantity was measured as energy and macronutrient intakes, analysed using NutritionistPro. Diet quality was measured using the Malaysian Healthy Eating Index (M-HEI). The relationship between eating self-regulatory skills, diet quantity, and diet quality were evaluated using tests for differences between means and multiple linear regression. Results: Male participants (n=47) consumed more energy than female participants (n=85) (Male: 1850±570 kcal/day, Female: 1596±567 kcal/day, p=0.015). Participants from the Nutrition and Dietetics (N&D) course (n=49) had better M-HEI scores than participants from other health courses (n=83) (N&D course: 52.7±10.5, non-N&D course: 47.2±10.7, p=0.005). The predictors of energy intake were gender (β=-0.193, p=0.023) and SREBQ score (β=- 0.223, p=0.009). Being female and having higher eating self-regulatory skills were associated with lower energy intake. The predictors of diet quality were university course (β=0.240, p=0.005) and SREBQ score (β=0.181, p=0.033). Studying N&D and having higher eating self-regulatory skills were associated with higher M-HEI scores. Conclusion: Higher self-regulation of eating behaviour score is a factor that contributes to lower daily energy intake and higher diet quality score.

ABSTRACT

Introduction: Optimal DNA and RNA quantity and purity is essential for downstream molecular biology experimentation and to avoid re-processing of sample. Despite availability of different kits and automated systems for nucleic acid isolation there is limited data on their performance evaluation, more so with pediatric blood samples, that are usually compromised in quantity. Hence, we evaluated the performance of automated QIAcube platform using pediatric blood samples in parallel with manual Qiagen extraction kits. Materials and Methods: A total of 500 samples were analyzed based on groups of PBMC and direct blood input. The isolated DNA and RNA were surveyed for quantity and quality tests by spectrophotometric and downstream analysis. Results: There was no significant difference in the DNA quantity (ng/ul) between manual and automated method based on similar sample input but quality (260/280) was significantly better with the QIAcube platform when direct blood and or PBMCs were used for extraction respectively (1.82 ± 004 Vs. 1.84.002; P-0.000008 and 1.859 ± 005 Vs. 1.843 ± 0.003; P-0.02). Moreover, the standard error mean was low for both quantity and quality in the QIAcube method suggesting uniformity. Comparison of quality assessment by spectrophotometer and qubit fluorimeter showed that QIAcube sheared DNA less (P- 0.038) as compared to manual method (P-0.013). Also, time taken to process the samples in QIAcube was 23% less than the kit-based method. Conclusion: Overall analysis of QIAcube platform suggests that it yields more better, uniform, and less-sheared quality of nucleic acid in a relatively less time as compared to manual extraction kits.

ABSTRACT

@#Alveolar bone is an important anatomic basis for implant-supported denture restoration, and its different degrees of defects determine the choices of bone augmentation surgeries. Therefore, the reconstruction of alveolar bone defects is an important technology in the clinical practice of implant restoration. However, the final reconstructive effect of bone quality, bone quantity and bone morphology is affected by many factors. Clinicians need to master the standardized diagnosis and treatment principles and methods to improve the treatment effect and achieve the goal of both aesthetic and functional reconstruction of both jaws. Based on the current clinical experience of domestic experts and the relevant academic guidelines of foreign counterparts, this expert consensus systematically and comprehensively summarized the augmentation strategies of alveolar bone defects from two aspects: the classification of alveolar bone defects and the appropriate selection of bone augmentation surgeries. The following consensus are reached: alveolar bone defects can be divided into five types (Ⅰ-0, Ⅰ-Ⅰ, Ⅱ-0, Ⅱ-Ⅰ and Ⅱ-Ⅱ) according to the relationship between alveolar bone defects and the expected position of dental implants. A typeⅠ-0 bone defect is a bone defect on one side of the alveolar bone that does not exceed 50% of the expected implant length, and there is no obvious defect on the other side; guided bone regeneration with simultaneous implant implantation is preferred. Type Ⅰ-Ⅰ bone defects refer to bone defects on both sides of alveolar bone those do not exceed 50% of the expected implant length; the first choice is autologous bone block onlay grafting for bone increments with staged implant placement or transcrestal sinus floor elevation with simultaneous implant implantation. Type Ⅱ-0 bone defects show that the bone defect on one side of alveolar bone exceeds 50% of the expected implant length, and there’s no obvious defect on the other side; autologous bone block onlay grafting (thickness ≤ 4 mm) or alveolar ridge splitting (thickness > 4 mm) is preferred for bone augmentation with staged implant placement. Type Ⅱ-Ⅰ bone defects indicate that the bone plate defect on one side exceeds 50% of the expected implant length and the bone defect on the other side does not exceed 50% of the expected implant length; autologous bone block onlay grafting or tenting techniques is preferred for bone increments with staged implant implantation. Type Ⅱ-Ⅱ bone defects are bone plates on both sides of alveolar bone those exceed 50% of the expected implant length; guided bone regeneration with rigid mesh or maxillary sinus floor elevation or cortical autologous bone tenting is preferred for bone increments with staged implant implantation. This consensus will provide clinical physicians with appropriate augmentation strategies for alveolar bone defects.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo establish the determination for index components in benchmark samples of Erdongtang, and clarify the content and transfer rate rages of index components in 15 batches of benchmark samples, and to explore the quantity transfer of index components of decoction pieces to benchmark samples. MethodFifteen batches of benchmark samples were prepared, the contents of mangiferin, baicalin and glycyrrhizic acid were determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-diode array detector (DAD), the mobile phase was acetonitrile (A)-0.1% formic acid aqueous solution (B) for gradient elution (0-10 min, 10%-17%A; 10-25 min, 17%-19%A; 25-28 min, 19%-25%A; 28-45 min, 25%-33%A; 45-46 min, 33%-45%A; 46-60 min, 45%-55%A), detection wavelength was set at 254 nm. Contents of timosaponin BⅡ and the sum of protoneodioscin and protodioscin were determined by HPLC-evaporative light scattering detector (ELSD), the mobile phase was acetonitrile (A)-water (B) for gradient elution (0-20 min, 24%A; 20-25 min, 24%-27%A; 25-33 min, 27%-28%A; 33-36 min, 28%-90%A; 36-41 min, 90%-24%A). ResultThe methodological verification of the established method was good, which could be used for determination of five index components in benchmark samples. The content ranges of mangiferin, baicalin, glycyrrhizic acid, timosaponin BⅡ, and the sum of protoneodioscin and protodioscin in 15 batches of benchmark samples of Erdongtang were 0.14%-0.23%, 2.40%-3.37%, 0.07%-0.44%, 0.43%-0.95%, and 0.15%-0.47%, the transfer rate ranges of them were 33.90%-52.15%, 84.46%-105.61%, 22.59%-93.86%, 38.07%-61.43%, and 53.28%-96.11%, respectively. ConclusionThe consistencies of transfer rate of mangiferin, baicalin, timosaponin BⅡ and the sum of protoneodioscin and protodioscin (except glycyrrhizic acid) between decoction pieces and benchmark samples of Erdongtang are good, indicates that the transfer rates of 4 index components are stable during the preparation process of benchmark samples, which can provide data support for research and development of the compound preparation of this formula.

ABSTRACT

Aim To explore the diuretic effect, diuretic mechanism and pharmacokinetics of Phytolacca acinosa Roxb., and clarify its "quantity-time-effect" relationship. Methods Firstly, qualified rats were modeled by water load model, given different doses of Phytolacca acinosa Roxb.aqueous extract, then the diuretic effect was investigated.Secondly, Western blot was used to detect the protein expression of aquaporins AQP2, AQP4 and the angiotensin II receptors ATGR1, ATGR2, and renin in the RAAS system in kidney tissues.Thirdly, the established LC-MS/MS biological analysis method was used to detect the esculentoside A(EsA)content in the plasma, calculate the pharmacokinetic parameters and analyze the correlation between the blood concentration and the drug effect. Results The water load model was successfully established.Compared with the model group, hydrochlorothiazide had a significant diuretic effect(P<0.01).Low, medium and high dose groups of Phytolacca acinosa Roxb.all had obvious diuretic effects(P<0.01), EsA also had a significant diuretic effect(P<0.05).Phytolacca acinosa Roxb.aqueous extract and EsA significantly down-regulated the expression of AQP2, AQP4, ATGR1 and renin protein. The pharmacokinetic results showed that the Cmax and AUC0-t of EsA in the plasma of rats in the low, medium, and high dose groups of aqueous extract increased with the increase of the dose. Conclusions Phytolacca acinosa Roxb.had a diuretic effect, which is related to inhibiting the expression of aquaporins AQP2 and AQP4 and inhibiting the expression of angiotensin II type 1 receptor and renin, thereby inhibiting the reabsorption of renal tubules and collecting ducts.

ABSTRACT

In this study, the toxicological/pharmacological research method of "quantity-weight-evidence" network was first proposed and practiced to supplement the existing methodology of network toxicology. We transformed the traditional qualitative network into a quantitative network in this study by attributing weights to toxic component content and target frequency, which improved the reliability of data and provided a research idea for the systematic safety evaluation and toxicological research of Chinese medicinal herbs. Firstly, 50% ethanol extract of Dysosma versipellis(DV) was administrated to rats via gavage and the potential hepatotoxic components were identified by serum pharmacochemistry. Then, the component targets were obtained from SwissTargetPrediction, PharmMapper and other online databases, and the target weights were given according to the relative content of components and target fishing frequency. Meanwhile, the targets of hepatotoxicity were predicted from online databases such as Comparative Toxicology Database(CTD) and GeneCards. Subsequently, protein-protein interaction analysis and KEGG pathway enrichment were performed with the STRING database. Finally, the quantitative network of "toxic components-weighted targets-pathways" was constructed. Eleven potential toxic compounds were predicted, including podophyllotoxin, podophyllotoxone, deoxypodophyllotoxin, and 6-methoxypodophyllotoxin. A total of 106 hepatotoxic targets and 65 weighted targets(e.g., Cdk2, Egfr, and Cyp2 c9) were identified. The results of Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) pathway enrichment showed that these targets could act on PI3 K-AKT, MAPK, and Ras signaling pathways to play a role in inflammatory response and oxidative stress. However, traditional network toxicology showed that 51 targets such as AKT1, Alb, and Stat3 may lead to hepatotoxicity by mediating inflammation and cell proliferation. In conclusion, we proposed "quantity-weight-evidence" network toxicology in this study and used it to study the mechanism of DV-induced hepatotoxicity in rats. This study confirms the feasibility of this new methodology in toxicological evaluation and further improves the systematic evaluation of the safety of Chinese medicinal herbs.

ABSTRACT

Due to the characteristics of confusing varieties of Chinese medicinal materials, different sources, complex chemical composition, non-standard preparation process, and non-standard pharmaceutical equipment, the quality of Chinese medicinal preparations is difficult to be controlled and evaluated effectively under the current quality control mode and method of Chinese medicinal preparation. The present study proposed an engineering quality view of Chinese medicine pharmacy and a strategy to control the quality of Chinese medicinal preparations based on the current situation. The "overall, dialectical, and dynamic" multi-factor engineering quality view, covering original medicinal materials, preparation technologies, pharmaceutical equipment, and Chinese medicinal preparations, ensures the traceable process, measurable procedures, and feedback quality. The quality control mode of Chinese medicinal preparation with controllable sources, standardized preparation technologies, green pharmaceutical equipment, and intelligent manufacturing is built up.

ABSTRACT

Objective: Metapex/Vitapex is one of the most commonly used obturating materials in pediatric dental practice in recent times. It is available in a premixed syringe which poses numerous practical difficulties. This study aimed to calculate the root canal volume of maxillary and mandibular canine and second molar using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) to determine the quantity/grams of obturation material to obturate a single tooth (mass = density × volume). Materials and Method: This nonrandomized clinical trial is comprised of two parts. The first part involved calculation of average root canal volume using CBCT which was used to calculate the quantity/grams of obturating material. This predetermined quantity was used to obturate primary mandibular second molars and canines, and the quality of obturation was assessed. Results: Assessment of quality of obturation showed optimum length obturation in 53.33% primary second molars and 66.66% primary canines. Conclusion: It can be inferred that even with the use of exact predetermined quantity/grams of obturating material, optimum quality obturation could be achieved, thus avoiding wastage, preventing cross contamination, and simultaneously offering good clinical results. Hence, this study opens further gateways to device ampules containing predetermined mass of obturating material for a single use for obturation of a single primary tooth.

ABSTRACT

The fixed number package management of medical consumables is an important content of SPD management mode. In the process of medical low-value consumables management, hospitals are generally faced with the problems of frequent access and low matching between push quantity and actual use quantity, resulting in complicated access operations of medical staff, shortage or hoarding of consumables and so on. In order to reduce the times of taking and using consumables and improve the comfort of medical staff, the authors dynamically adjusted the content and push quantity of fixed number packages according to the historical use data. The results showed that the adjusted fixed number setting could significantly reduce the average daily access times of medical staff, and reduce the probability of out of stock and hoarding.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To observe the effects of acupoints, cone numbers and durations of moxibustion with different moxibustion methods on skin surface and inside temperature, and to provide references for the clinical standardization of moxibustion amount. Methods: The 42 big-ear white rabbits were divided into 6 groups according to the random number table method, a 1-cone direct moxibustion group, a 2-cone direct moxibustion group, a 3-cone direct moxibustion group, a 1-cone herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion group, a 2-cone herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion group, and a 3-cone herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion group, with 7 rabbits in each group. Shenque (CV 8), Shenshu (BL 23) and Zusanli (ST 36) were used in each group, but the moxibustion methods, cone numbers and durations of moxibustion were different. Rabbits in each group received moxibustion once every other day for 5 times in total. During the intervention, a thermoelectricity coupled probe and a temperature recorder were used to record the real-time acupoint skin temperature and the temperature at different time points, so as to observe, analyze and process the real-time changes in the temperature difference between the surface and inside of acupoint skin. Results: For herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion, the best temperature for cone changing was (46.38±0.51) ℃ when the highest surface temperature was (49.20±0.52) ℃; the multi-factor comparison of acupoint × cone number × time and acupoint × moxibustion method × time showed that time × acupoint, time × moxibustion method and cone number × acupoint had interactive effects (all P<0.05). Comparing skin temperature differences between different cone numbers at the same acupoint, Shenque (CV 8) on the 1st and the 5th days, Shenshu (BL 23) on the 3rd and the 7th days, Zusanli (ST 36) on the 1st and the 9th days of experiment showed statistically significant differences (all P<0.05). The skin temperature comparison of different moxibustion methods at the same acupoint all had statistical differences (all P<0.05), except for Shenque (CV 8) before moxibustion, Shenshu (BL 23) before moxibustion and on the 5th day; Zusanli (ST 36) only showed statistical differences on the 5th and 7th days (both P<0.05). The skin temperature differences of different acupoints after moxibustion in the 1-cone, 2-cone and 3-cone groups were statistically different (all P<0.05); direct moxibustion and herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion at different acupoints were all statistically different (all P<0.05). Conclusion: Cone changing temperature under the same specifications of herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion was confirmed. Temperature difference between surface and inside of different acupoint skin at the same maximum temperature was significantly different due to the cone numbers and moxibustion methods, which showed the highest at Shenshu (BL 23), the second at Shenque (CV 8), and the lowest at Zusanli (ST 36). The influence of acupoint factor should be considered to determine the quantitative indicators of moxibustion.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To compare surgical methods and clinical efficacy among different types of cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP).Methods:A total of 158 patients with CSP who received treatment in Yuncheng Central Hospital from January 2016 to June 2019 were included in this study. According to Expert Consensus on Diagnosis and Treatment of Cesarean Scar Pregnancy (2016 version), type I CSP was found in 55 patients, type II in 86 patients and type III in 17 patients. These patients were divided into groups A (ultrasound-guided suction curettage), B (uterine artery chemoembolization + ultrasound-guided suction curettage) and C (laparoscopic scar pregnancy lesion resection + scar repair) according to different surgical methods. The amount of intraoperative blood loss, the difference in human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) level between before and after surgery, the time to postoperative HCG level returning to normal level, menstruation recovery, and re-pregnancy were compared between groups. Results:The amount of intraoperative blood loss in the groups A, B and C was (43.33 ± 72.31) mL, (34.41 ± 17.16) mL, (65.71 ± 70.52) mL, respectively. There was significant difference between groups ( F = 8.51, P = 0.014]. The difference in HCG level between before and after surgery in groups A, B and C was (0.64 ± 0.18), (0.79 ± 0.10), (0.76 ± 0.19), respectively. There was significant difference in the difference in HCG level between groups ( F = 19.21, P < 0.001). There was significant difference in the incidence of postoperative menstrual volume reduction between group B and the other two groups ( χ2 = 6.73, P = 0.003). After surgery, intrauterine pregnancy occurred in 12 patients, including 8 patients in group A (type I CSP in 2 patients, type II CSP in 3 patients, type III CSP in 3 patients), 4 patients in group B (type I CSP in 3 patients, type II CSP in 1 patient). Finally, full-term fetus delivery by cesarean section was performed in 6 patients (4 patients in group A and 2 patients in group B). Conclusion:Uterine artery chemoembolization combined with uterine curettage had less blood loss, during surgery and leads to an obvious decrease in HCG level, but it can result in reduction of menstrual volume. Ultrasound-guided suction curettage is preferred for type I and type II CSP. Balloon compression can be used to stop bleeding if massive bleeding occurs. Laparoscopic scar pregnancy lesion resection plus scar repair is recommended for type III CSP.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To study the change of soil environment and yield of Angelica sinensis when cultivated on the film side and and open field sides, and to explore the influence of garlic volatiles and film-side cultivation on continuous cropping A. sinensis,so as to provide some certain theoretical basis for the saying that the A. sinensis garlic intercropping mode and film-side cultivation could alleviate continuous cropping A. sinensis. Method:In this study, the effects of garlic on soil environment and yield of A. sinensis cultivated on film side and crop rotation were discussed through the determination and analysis of soil microorganism quantity, soil enzyme activity and yield of Angelica sinensis in the rhizosphere of A. sinensis. Result:The number of bacteria and actinomycetes in the rhizosphere soil of A. sinensis increased significantly, while the number of fungi decreased significantly. Among them, the number of bacteria and actinomycetes in the intercropping of A. sinensis and garlic on the film side increased by 104% and 146.89% on average as compared with that of the control (monoculture under continuous cropping open field),and the number of fungi decreased by 39.28% on average as compared with that of control group. When the enzyme activity in the rhizosphere soil was significantly increased under the condition of intercropping with garlic on the film side, the soil urease, sucrase, alkaline phosphatase and acid phosphatase activities under the intercropping of A. sinensis and gralic on the rotation film side were increased by 61.60%,51.09%,203.48% and 76.19% respectively as compared with those in control group. The yield of A. sinensis significantly increased under the condition of intercropping with garlic on the film-side,and the yield of Angelica sinensis under the rotation film-side intercropping with garlic increased by 39.37% as compared with that of control group. Conclusion:Under the mode of film-side cultivation, the interplanting of A. sinensis with garlic can change the number of soil microorganism, improve the activity of soil enzyme, improve the physical and chemical properties of soil, alleviate the obstacle of continuous cropping and guarantee the healthy growth of A. sinensis more effectively.

ABSTRACT

By preparing 15 batches of Zhenwu Decoction substance benchmarks, the characteristic map, index component content and paste-forming rate were determined to define the peak attribution, similarity range,paste-forming rate range, paeoniflorin and6-gingerol content range and transfer rate range. The similarity between the substance benchmark characteristic map and the control map R generated from the 15 batches of substance benchmarks was higher than 0. 970. There were 19 characteristic peaks in total. By further summarization of the characteristic peaks,it could be seen that tuckahoe had 3 characteristic peaks, white peony root had 10 characteristic peaks, atractylodes had 3 characteristic peaks, ginger had 1 characteristic peak, and Aconite root had 3 characteristic peaks; among them, white peony root and aconite root had 1 common peak. The contents and transfer rates of the 15 batches were0. 50%-0. 93 and 16. 11%-26. 20%; those for 6-gingerol were 0. 018 2%-0. 033 9% and 13. 16%-24. 10%,respectively. The pasteforming rate ranged from 10. 00% to 14. 85%. In this study, the transfer process of substance benchmark value of classic formula Zhenwu Decoction was analyzed based on the characteristic map,the paste-forming rate and the content of the index components; a scientific and stable substance benchmark quality evaluation method was preliminarily established to provide a basis for subsequent development of classic formula Zhenwu Decoction and quality control of relevant preparations.

ABSTRACT

@#Introduction: This study aimed to evaluate the short-term efficacy of two comparable formulation of dual-polymer artificial tears: Systane Hydration preservative (SH) and non-preservative (SHUD) in 60 minutes observation period compared to normal saline. Methods: Fifty participants involved in this prospective, double-masked randomised study. Viscosity and pH of artificial tears were evaluated using rheometer and digital pH-meter prior to tear film assessment. Tear break-up time (TBUT) and tear meniscus height (TMH) were measured at baseline, 5, 15 and 60 minutes after instillation. Tear ferning pattern (TFP) were compared between baseline and 60 minutes after instillation. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Independent T-test were used to evaluate the effects of SH and SHUD after instillation and comparison between each specific time-interval respectively. P-value of 0.05 was set as the level of significance. Results: The viscosity of SH and SHUD was 26.7cP and 32.73cP re-spectively with pH of 7.85 (SH) and 7.74 (SHUD). Both artificial tears showed significant increment in TBUT between baseline and 15 minutes (SH:5.82±1.063, p=0.01; SHUD:6.02±0.979, p<0.001), and 60 minutes (SH:6.22±0.616, p<0.001; SHUD:6.34±0.658, p<0.001). SHUD demonstrated significant increment in TMH at every measurement taken (0.1996±0.02449, p<0.001 at 5min, 0.2038±0.02276, p<0.001 at 15min and 0.2068±0.02094, p<0.001 at 60min). Likewise, in SH group, significant increment in TMH at 15 minutes (0.1994±0.02325, p<0.001) and 60 minutes (0.2012±0.02379, p<0.001) were noted. Both groups revealed improvement in TFP (both, p<0.001) at 60 minutes. No significant im-provement was noted in control group. Conclusion: Improvement in TMH was prominently faster in SHUD than SH, although both TBUT and TFP revealed comparable tears quality between both artificial tears.

ABSTRACT

Based on the textual research on literature, the key information of Wenjing Decoction were tested and identified, and 15 batches of lyophilized powder samples of Wenjing Decoction were prepared. The specific components, including paeoniflorin, glycyrrhizin, ginsenosides(Rg_1, Re and Rb_1), glycyrrhizic acid, and paeonol, were used as indexes to establish the HPLC method for quantitative evaluation, and the content ranges and transfer rates of these components were determined. The results showed that the contents of paeoniflorin, glycyrrhizin, ginsenosides Rg_1 + Re, ginsenoside Rb_1, glycyrrhizic acid, and paeonol in the 15 batches of samples were 0.62%-0.86%, 0.25%-0.76%, 0.14%-0.30%, 0.07%-0.21%, 0.63%-1.16%, and 0.09%-0.25%, respectively, and their transfer rates from the decoction pieces to the reference materials were 14.99%-19.42%, 28.11%-40.93%, 25.92%-61.88%, 25.03%-64.06%, 23.43%-35.53%, and 5.34%-10.44%, respectively. The consistency of the transfer rates between batches indicated that the preparation process was stable. It is suggested that the contents of paeoniflorin, glycyrrhizin, ginsenosides Rg_1 + Re, ginsenoside Rb_1, glycyrrhizic acid, and paeonol in Wenjing Decoction should not be less than 0.52%, 0.35%, 0.15%, 0.10%, 0.63%, and 0.12%, respectively. In this study, we determined the contents and analyzed the quantity transfer process of the index components in Wenjing Decoction, which can provide a basis for the follow-up development of Wenjing Decoction and the quality control of related preparations.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of the third batc h of Shanghai drug quantity purchasing and national “4+7” drug quantity purchasing in a Shanghai hospital and its impact on the use of statins. METHODS :Consumption amount (tablets) and sum of statins were collected from information system of this hospital before (Feb. 10th-Aug. 31th,2018)and after (Sept. 1th,2018-Mar. 19th,2019)the implementation of the third batch of Shanghai drug quantity purchasing ,after the implementation of national “4+7”drug quantity purchasing (Mar. 20th-Oct. 9th,2019). The defined drug frequency (DDDs)and average defined daily cost (DDC) of above 3 periods were calculated according to drug defined daily dose (DDD) recommended by New Pharmacology and related drug instructions ,so as to analyzethe influence of the third batch of Shanghaidrug quantity purchasing and national “4+7”drug quantity purchasing on the use of statins in this hospital and predict the market share trend of each specification in this hospital. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS :Before the implementation of the third batch of Shanghaidrug quantity purchasing, there were 5 varieties and 8 specifications of statins in this hospital ;after the implementation of quantity purchasing ,it was adjusted to 5 varieties and 9 specifications. The amount of Simvastatin tablets was small in general ,and its consumption sum also continued to decline after the implementation of quantity purchasing. The amount of Rosuvastatin calcium tablets accounted for 49.49% before the implementation of quantity purchasing ,ranking the first ;after the implementation of 3 batches of Shanghai drug quantity purchasing , the amount proportion decreased to Δ 基金项目:上海市科学技术委员会科研计划项目(No.19ZR1450- 600) below 30%,and consumption sum proportion decreased from *本科 。研究方向 :医药市场研究与分析 。电话 :021- 37.82% to 18.77%;after the implementation of national “4+ 54237308。E-mail:2123398711@qq.com 7”drug quantity purchasing ,the consumption sum proportion # 通信作者 :副主任药师 ,博士。研究方向 :临床药学 。电话: continued to decline to 17.38% .The amount of Atorvastatin 021-65690520。E-mail:Hongjun.chen@tongji.edu.cn calcium tablets increased significantly after the implementation 中国药房 2021年第32卷第2期 China Pharmacy 2021Vol. 32 No. 2 ·247· of the thi rd batch of Shanghaidrug quantity purchasing ,from 41.55% to 54.09%,and decreased slightly after the implementation of the national “4+7”drug quantity purchasing ,but the amount proportion was still as high as 53.06%,ranking the first ;before and after the implementation of quantity purchasing ,the proportions of its consumption sum were ranked the first ,which remained at about 50%,being 52.87%,61.18% and 46.50%,respectively. Compared with the amount before the implementation of the third batch of Shanghaidrug quantity purchasing ,the amount of its generic drugs increased by 40.32%,but the consumption sum decreased by 78.18%. Any one type of Pravastatin sodium tablets and Pitavastatin calcium tablets was not selected ;the proportion of them was increased continuously ,but the overall proportion was relatively small. The price of statins decreased significantly after included in quantity purchasinglist. It is expected that the market share of simvastatin in thise hospital will continue to shrink ,and that of atorvastatin may continue to expand. Due to more adverse reactions ,rosuvastatin has limited room to expand ,and pravastatin accounts for a small proportion ,but there is still a demand for patients. Because pitavastatin is a new drug ,its application in this hospital needs more clinical data support.
