ABSTRACT

Objective To explore and analyze the clinical application of perioperative functional exercise combined with rehabilitation guidance in the treatment of pediatric developmental hip dislocation. Methods From December 2015 to December 2017,40 children with developmental dislocation of the hip treated in Shengjing Hospital Affiliated to China Medical University were selected in the research. The patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 20 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional perioperative rehabilitation guidance, the observation group was given new perioperative functional exercise combined with rehabilitation guidance. The limb function and mental status changes before and after the intervention were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the scores of FMA and Barthel were all increased in the two groups compared with those before intervention, and the improvements of the observation group wese more significant than those of the control group (all P < 0.05).After intervention, the self-rating anxiety scale (SAS),self-rating depression scale (SDS),Hamilton depression scale(HAMD) and other negative emotions scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (all P < 0.05).Conclusion New perioperative functional exercise combined with rehabilitation guidance can effectively improve the limb function of children with developmental dislocation of the hip joint,at the same time improve the patients' mental state, and has positive significance to enhance the curative effect.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effect of comprehensive nursing of traditional Chinese medicine and Western Medicine on children′s supracondylar humerus fracture of ulnar deviation on postoperative recovery. Methods From November 2015 to February 2016, 52 inpatients were divided into 2 groups by random digits table method after the external fixation removal surgery with 26 cases each. The observation group was intervened by integrated nursing and was given TCM rehabilitation guidance, while the control group was intervened by regular nursing and was given regular rehabilitation guidance. After 4 weeks, the therapeutic effect was evaluated according to Chinese Medicine Orthopedic Syndrome Diagnosis and their elbow joint function was evaluated by Flynn score. In 8 weeks of follow up, all the patients were valued by their quality of life. Results In the process of intervention, with 1 case fell off in the observation group, 3 cases fell off in the control group, so finally the observation group with 25 cases, the control group with 23 cases. Fifteen cases were cured, 7 cases were improved, 3 cases were not cured at 4 weeks after surgery in the observation group, 8, 6, 9 cases in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (Z=-2.120, P=0.034). At 4 weeks after surgery, 10, 6, 6, 3 cases were excellent, good, medium and poor evaluated by Flynn score in the observation group, 5, 4, 5, 9 cases in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (Z=-2.051, P=0.040). Incidence of postoperative complications was 8.0% (2/25) in the observation group, 30.4% (7/23) in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=2.622, P=0.047). Physical, psychological, social and environmental fields of quality of life were 77.84 ± 12.15, 81.13 ± 15.72, 79.95 ± 20.68, 79.44 ± 11.57 in the observation group, 63.31 ± 15.86, 63.07 ± 12.63, 65.65 ± 18.51, 61.32 ± 17.24 in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (t=2.516- 4.363, P<0.05). Conclusions Integrated nursing intervention with TCM rehabilitation guidance is a method which can effectively help in improving the elbow movement function and the life quality of children with supracondylar humerus fractures of ulnar deviation.

ABSTRACT

@#Objective To investigate the current status of family rehabilitation for children with disability and the unmet needs of habilitation/rehabilitation for their parents. Methods Family Rehabilitation Needs Survey Questionnaire was used to investigate 186 families of the children with disability from 5 rehabilitation institutions in 4 provinces. Results Most families accepted family rehabilitation, including family support, developed rehabilitation scheme, telephone counseling, real-time guidance and appointment for family rehabilitation. Most families would spent 1-2 hours a day for the family rehabilitation, and prefer the rehabilitation of gross motion. However, the rehabilitation agencies played less importance on supports of family rehabilitation. Conclusion The family rehabilitation supports needs to be improved in specification of rehabilitation process, developing rehabilitation scheme and quality control.

ABSTRACT

@#Objective To observe the effects of the home tele-rehabilitation guidance on activities of daily living and motor function in patients after cerebral infarction. Methods 101 cases with cerebral infarction at recovery stage were divided into control (n=50) and rehabilitation (n=51) group. The rehabilitation group received home tele-rehabilitation guidance. They were assessed with the Barthel index (BI) and the simplified Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA) before and 3 month after treatment. Results There is no significant difference in both the BI and FMA between these groups before treatment, and the rehabilitation group improved more after treatment (P<0.05). ConclusionHome tele-rehabilitation guidance can facilitate the recovery of activities of daily living and motor function in cerebral infarction patients.
