ABSTRACT

Introduction : This is a research innovation that aims to provide an additional therapeutic tool. It will open up a vast panorama of regenerative medicine by application of Adipose Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (ADMSCs). ADMSCs are selected since a large amount is available for lipoaspiration and a larger percentage (30%) of Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) obtainable there from. The applications in clinical practice extend across Mesoderm, Endoderm and Ectoderm layers1. Material and Methods : There are three products that can be derived from the lipoaspirate. They are (1) Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF), (2) Islet Cell Aggregates (ICAs) Translated from ADMSCs, (3) and ADMSCs with ~95% purity. They are deployed to illustrate the safety and efficacy in clinical trials for (1) Mesoderm Translation as in Osteoarthritis Knee, (2) Endoderm translation to Insulin-producing Cells as applicable to diabetes, and (3) Ectodermal Translation as applicable on Non-healing Indolent Ulcers on the Skin. Results : All three products are found safe with no adverse side effects. Proof of concept studies along with initial clinical trials for Osteoarthritis, Diabetes Types I and II, and Non-healing ulcer of any aetiology is demonstrated with objective evidence. Discussion : The evidence based on the results of the clinical trials across all three Germinal Layers is cited along with literature support. Results are explained based on a plausible scientific hypothesis. Conclusion : The study enunciates that Autologous SVF and ADMSCs are in futuristic domain for conducting clinical trials across all the three Germinal Layers.

ABSTRACT

RESUMEN El uso de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) imprimen hoy una forma específica de determinar el contenido científico que se obtiene en la transformación de la información en conocimiento científico y de este último en innovación investigativa. En estas condiciones se precisa el objetivo en identificar el estado del arte sobre la formación investigativa con el uso de las TIC en estudiantes universitarios. Se realiza revisión documental a artículos relacionados con la temática en el período 2009-2019 y se aplica encuesta a docentes de la Universidad de Loja mediante el correo electrónico, lo cual permitió comparar información. Se identificaron categorías que expresan el papel de las TIC en la formación investigativa; con lo que se identificó el estado del arte de la temática. Así como se establecieron indicadores para determinar la frecuencia de empleo de las manifestaciones de las TIC tales como buscadores de Internet, base de datos, foros de grupos científicos utilizados en la formación investigativa; y se determinaron limitaciones que aún se percibe en dicha formación. Los resultados significan la demanda del uso de las TIC para la obtención del contenido científico en la formación investigativa, pero dicha formación no se reduce a la utilización de las tecnologías, sino será necesario disponer de un enfoque didáctico-pedagógico orientado al autoaprendizaje en la búsqueda, intercambio, reflexión y análisis de la información que permita la generación de conocimiento científico, como eslabón para la innovación investigativa transformadora de la realidad.


ABSTRACT The use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) today print a specific way to determine the scientific content that is obtained in the transformation of information into scientific knowledge and the latter in research innovation. Under these conditions, the objective is to identify the state of the art on research training with the use of ICT in university students. A documentary review of articles related to the subject is carried out in the period 2009-2019 and a survey of teachers of the University of Loja is applied by email, which allowed comparing information. Categories that express the role of ICT in research training were identified; with which the state of the art of the subject was identified. As well as indicators were established to determine the frequency of use of the manifestations of ICTs such as Internet search engines, database, forums of scientific groups used in research training; and limitations that are still perceived in said training were determined. The results mean the demand for the use of ICTs to obtain scientific content in research training, but such training is not reduced to the use of technologies, but it will be necessary to have a didactic-pedagogical approach aimed at self-learning in the search, exchange, reflection and analysis of the information that allows the generation of scientific knowledge, as a link for the transformative research innovation of reality.

ABSTRACT

Objective To understand the current situation of research innovation ability of medical academic PhD students,combining with the comprehensive reform of education of the university's doctoral postgraduate students,and put forward suggestions for improving the scientific research innovation ability of medical academic PhD students.Methods Analyzing the evaluation results of academic doctoral dissertation of the medical department in 2017 and conducting questionnaire survey among graduates with SO JMUP,a professional online questionnaire platform,are the main methods.Results Among all the indexes of medical academic doctoral dissertation,innovation achievement was evaluated lowest,and only 34.9 % of the evaluation experts considered it as excellent.In terms of innovation results and research ability,the eight-year PhD is better than the five-year and three-year PhD significantly.The mentor's guidance and education are believed to be the primary factors to enhance their interest in scientific research by graduates.Conclusions The ability of medical academic PhD students needs to be strengthened.It is suggested to build a platform for cultivating top-notch innovative talents,and enhance the academic vitality of the tutor to ensure the research training of graduates as well as provide an international exchange platform to broaden the academic horizon of the graduates.

ABSTRACT

In order to solve the problems of feeble research foundation and inadequate experiment skills,the central laboratory for science and technology at general hospital introduced a series of minilectures with different styles for research-oriented graduate students in Chinese Traditional Medicine,including basic strengthening style,tailored style,leading innovated style and academic salon style.The minilecture contents covered biomedical basic research,the commonly used experimental technologies of cell culture,molecular biology,histochemistry and some others,and the latest research advances.According to the needs of postgraduate research projects,the mini-lectures were also organically combined with the laboratory self-produced micro videos and scientific research training,which aroused the enthusiasm of medical science postgraduates for scientific research participation,and explored a new way to improve the quality of experimental teaching.

ABSTRACT

In order to strengthen the graduate management in scientific research platform and to ensure the quality of graduate training,the ideological and moral education was invigorated through establishing virtual party branch,the behavior was regulated through establishing and amplifying the daily management system,the student interests were protected through establishing financial management system and the cultivation quality was guaranteed through perfecting the academic management system.Satisfactory results were achieved in molecular medicine and cancer research center in Chongqing Medical University.

ABSTRACT

To introduce scientific research innovation into undergraduate education, cultivating innovative talents has been an urgent mission of current higher education. This article reviewed our experience, with the introduction of producing-studying-researching platform built on original innovative achievements of Chongqing medical university,of training physical medicine physician to be practical talents of large-scale diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipments, and was aimed to explore introducing producing-studying-researching platform into undergraduate education as well as improve personnel training quality of undergraduates.
