ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the clinical application effect of self -made frenum fixator in the secondary fixation of drainage tube with full gauze coverage around the incision after limb fracture surgery. Methods:120 cases of patients with limb fracture treated by trauma surgery from October 2019 to June 2020 were selected and divided into control group (50 cases) and experimental group (70 cases) by drawing lots. The control group used the traditional 3M tape platform method to fix the drainage tube, and the experimental group used the homemade lace up fixator to fix the drainage tube. The difference of fixtion effect between the two groups was observed and compared. Results:The incidence of catheter-related risk events was 1.4% (1/70) in the experimental group, which was lower than 14% (7/50) in the control group (2 value was 7.408, P = 0.009); the change interval of fixation materials was (5.10±0.39) d, which was significantly higher than (1.68±0.23) d in the control group ( t value was 60.168, P<0.001); the fixed material reuse rate was 97.1% (68/70) and comfort 97.1% (68/70), which were higher than 0 and 48.% (24/50) in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (2 values were 112.00 and 39.37, P<0.001). Conclusion:The self -made lace up fixator has reliable fixation effect and can effectively reduce the occurrence of catheter -related risk events. It is feasibility and safety.

ABSTRACT

Focusing on the requirements of visual traceability for reprocessing of reused medical devices under the background of deep integration of intelligent medical treatment, a quality and safety traceability system for disinfection of reused medical devices is developed. The multi-dimensional data of the reprocessing chain of reusable medical devices are acquired in real time by the RFID mobile terminal handset and stored temporarily. The data package is formatted based on LoRa protocol and uploaded to the management and control platform in multi-threaded transmission mode for in-depth analysis and traceability. The corresponding prototype system is developed. The first-line operation and maintenance test results show that the prototype system has strong cooperation, strong operation robustness, and obvious advantages in the identification rate and other layers of sterile equipment package.

ABSTRACT

Background: Menstrual cup is an alternative to sanitary pads, which has received attention in relatively small-scale studies in high income, and low- and middle-income countries, including among schoolgirls. Made of high-grade medical grade silicone (biodegradable) have the advantage of reuse, and can potentially last up to 10 years. Objective of this study was to assess and analyse the awareness regarding menstrual cup among the women of reproductive age group. Methods: Data collected from the selected eligible participants by an interviewer administered study proforma. It is a descriptive cross-sectional study over 1 month in women in reproductive age in A. J. Institute Mangalore, Karnataka, India. Results: A total 82% were aware about menstrual cup but only 2.6% have used it.Conclusions: One challenge of menstruation that is taken for granted in affluent countries is the simple question of how to manage or contain the menstrual flow and what happens to a girl or woman who is not able to do this successfully. Menstrual hygiene management is therefore an increasingly important (yet often unrecognized) issue that is heavily intertwined with girls’ education, empowerment, and social development.

ABSTRACT

The use of human vessels at the beginning of microsurgery training is highly recommended. But vessels with the appropriate length for training are not often obtained. Whether these vessels may be reused for training has not been reported. Accordingly, we harvested vessels from discarded tissues in lymph node dissection and demonstrated that vascular anastomosis training using the same human vessels several times is possible by placing the vessels in a freezer and defrosting them with hot water. Vascular walls can be stored for microsurgical training until about 4 years after harvest, as shown in the gross appearance and histologic findings of our preserved vessels. We recommend the technique presented here for the long-term reuse of human vessels for microsurgery training that closely resembles real procedures.

ABSTRACT

The information and communication technologies (ICT) have broaden the possibilities of knowledge and information transmission, in which the pupil plays the predominant role, leaving the educator with a second role. The ICT sustain the learning objectives, digital entity, self-sustained and reusable with objectives, constituted by three editable internal components: contents, learning activities and contextualization components. Moreover, the metadata facilitates its identification, storage and localization. Also must be present other characteristics: educability, interoperability accessibility, self-regeneration, flexibility, etc. In this study we put forward the task of characterizing the learning objectives as well as other characteristics of the teaching-learning process in the virtual field. Various reviews were carried out on electronic articles, databases of national and international pedagogical journals. Conclusions: It is important the implement and development of the LO in order for the pupil to develop abilities and strategies at any learning situation, and it´s application in Dermatology is useful(AU)
