ABSTRACT

Objective:Bibliometric analysis of SCI papers in Shanghai tertiary obstetrics and gynecology specialized hospitals from 2017 to 2021 was conducted to provide reference for further improving management measures and optimizing the quality of SCI papers in specialized hospitals. Methods:The Web of Science database was used to retrieve SCI papers published by tertiary obstetrics and gynecology specialized hospitals in Shanghai from 2017 to 2021. Based on bibliometric methods VOSviwer 1.6.17 and Scimago Graphica 1.0.23 was adopted to analyze the number, journals, domestic and international cooperation, and hot research areas.Results:2 721 papers were published by Shanghai Tertiary A obstetrics and Gynecology hospitals from 2017 to 2021. These papers published in 765 journals. The number of papers published and publication journals increased year by year. The number of papers and journals with an impact factor of 3~5 is the largest, accounting for 37.96% and 35.95% of the total number of papers and journals respectively. However, papers and journals with more than 10 points accounted for only 7.98% and 10.20% respectively. Scientific Reports, a comprehensive journal, published the largest number of papers. International cooperation is concentrated in the United States. Domestic cooperation is concentrated in universities and research institutions in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. The hot research areas focused on Oncology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Genetics, Reproductive Biology and other basic medical fields. Conclusions:The number of papers published by Shanghai's tertiary obstetrics and gynecology specialized hospitals has increased year by year, but there are fewer highly influential journals. Domestic and international scientific research cooperation is limited to several institutions. The achievements in the field of basic research are far more than those in clinical research.

ABSTRACT

Objective To give specific strategies for discipline construction in the "first class"universities and colleges, through the analysis of the SCI service of 20 independent medical universities in China during 2013 to 2017. Methods Based on WoS and ESI database, this paper searches and analyzes the related data of SCI papers published by the above colleges and universities, including the quantity of output, the citation of all articles, the fund support and other bibliometrics indexes, and explores the status and problems of these SCI papers. Results All colleges and universities in this study have entered the ESI database, and the ranking of ESI is basically the same as the global ranking of US News and ARWU;the Clinical Medicine and Pharmacology&Toxicology of some colleges and universities has been in or near the global 1 per thousand of ESI, and the proportion of the quoted volume and the total volume of the document is still lower than the average level in China;the H index is directly proportional to the papers, and there is still a gap with the first-class universities in China. Most papers are funded by national fund projects, but a large number of SCI articles are not highly influential. Conclusion The results show that the global ranking of independent medical universities in China has developed rapidly in the past five years. Although there is still a gap with the international first-class universities and disciplines, but there is great potential . The level of Clinical Medicine and Pharmacology & Toxicology has reached the international first-class level. The gap between the development level of biology and biochemistry, neuroscience and behavior, and the international medical level of these field is narrowing.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze academic influence of SCI papers of TCM colleges and universities in the recent 10 years; To provide references for scientific research and academic exchange. Methods According to the evaluation ranking of degree and graduate education development center of Ministry of Education published in 2012 and standardization of InCites database, 10 Chinese medicine colleges and universities were selected. InCites platform was used to select 13 representative indicators and to analyze the cited cases, H index and the cooperation of the SCI papers published in 2006-2015. Results The SCI papers published by 10 TCM colleges and universities have been growing rapidly since 2010, and the average influence of standardized citations was 0.76. The average percentage of cited papers was 67%, which was slightly lower than that of 71%in clinical medicine papers of mainland of China. H index was 30. The average percentage of international cooperation papers in TCM colleges and universities was 17.71%, which was lower than the percentage of international cooperation papers in clinical medicine of mainland of China (22.85%). Conclusion In recent 10 years, the academic level of TCM colleges and universities in our country has been developing rapidly. However, there is still a need to further explore international perspectives, focus on research frontiers, strengthen international cooperation, carry out innovative research and improve academic influence.
